Shadows POV while Illume fought:

Well this ruins my Sunday Night, I really hate Pyro man, he's always so hype, Woah! Another fireball, guess he's lost his shit again *sigh*.

Seriously you'd think the guy would have more tricks up his sleeve. Anyway I need to warn Illume, gotta get out of my head.

I then yell out towards Illume and try to give him a heads up.

"Darn it! Why can't he hear me? He's so close too. I gotta move quick."

I move closer towards him.

I need to warn him the fireball is not what I'm worried about before it's too late.

"Illume watch out!"

Illume:" Don't worry bud I can handle his fireballs it's nothing. He's messed with you for the last time!"

"No you idiot!!!"

I push him out of the way and as I do... I feel something cold slip through my gut.

Illume:" Shadow? What? You? Why?"

"Well I tried to warn you." I chuckle.

So I bet you are wondering what just happened to me. Well let's just say that because of my heroics I kinda stopped a metal rod from killing my good ol' bestie Illume and ended up getting impaled instead, sacrificing my life for his, well it is worth it.

At least I know my buddy is safe. He is definitely not going to like what I have done but okay he can yell at me later when I see him... in the afterlife.

Illume distraught unable to speak properly:" You, you, why? You... idiot."

"Hey Illume."

"Yeah, Shadow?"

As I look at Illume I feel like I need to say something because he looks like he's about to...

"Dude you are gonna look really ugly if you start crying here hehe. I guess I won't get to see you finally beat Pyros ass huh?"

Illume finally bursts out crying:" You idiot why, why?"

"Well for one life IS kinda boring but I'm just glad I could do something with my sorry self. See you next life buddy, love ya. You were the best bro I could've had. I appreciate all you've done for me."

Illume with tears in his eyes:" No! You can't die! I'm supposed to protect you, you can't..."

As I start becoming colder I feel my body becoming numb too. While I begin fading away I start to realize something...

I don't want to die!

I start crying, instantly shouting out:" Illume I don't want this! I don't wanna die! I don't wanna go!"

While I'm saying these things Illume cries even more while trying to help me to survive. He tries everything, he tries breaking the pole, yanking it and more.

He continues to pull and pull even though he knows I won't be surviving this. He tries his best to save me... but it's not enough, my life's already fading away. There's nothing he could do in this situation anyway. This is where I die and meet the end I've been wanting so badly.

I look at Illume as he struggles and finally decide that it's over for me because right now I can feel myself slipping away.

" Illume... buddy?" I then cough out blood.

"It's fine. I'm already as good as gone anyway. Good bye buddy... it's been a good life."

With this, my last breath, I leave my dear friend who've I've come to know, alone.

Illume puts his forehead against mine as he sheds even more tears:" Shadow... no."

Then...

Turns toward Pyro who has been standing there in silence. In this moment witnessing a life fading away before his very own two eyes Pyro finally comes back to his senses meanwhile...

Illume loses himself in anger.

Illumes POV:

"Pyroooooooo!!!! YOU ARE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS!!!"

And in this moment I finally realise what I'm to do here. I'm here to bring people like Pyro, murderers, to their downfall. I am here to help them all meet their demise.

Somehow a light emerges from within me. It feels warm like the sun. It's almost just like the light that weird traveler wielded. I know what I am to do with this and that is to stop Pyro!

"Pyro I'm going to exterminate you, you fucking roach!!!"

Illume rushes to deal with Pyro while off in the distance someone has been witnessing the events occurring before him. Someone who has been keeping an eye on the boys for quite some time. This person seems happy with the events that have unfolded thus far...

Mysterious Traveler POV:

"So it is time. It seems our greatest descendant has finally stepped into the light. I would interrupt this little farce but I'm more interested as to what he would do with his new found 'Illumination'."

The traveler begins laughing as Illume unlocks more of his light while fighting Pyro who's all but lost the will to fight completely.

However one thing remains and that is Illumes will to fight Pyro no matter what. Therefore if Pyro does not protect himself, he will be joining our beloved Shadow in the after life as well.

Illumes POV:

"This is it! This is where I end you Pyro!"

It looks to me like Pyro himself realizes what's going on and decides that he needs to get away from me so he starts running. It's strange since he never runs from a fight but that's not happening today. He's not getting away, especially not from me. I'm ending him now!

As I run towards him it seems like I'm getting faster and faster. My speed increases, my body feels lighter, I feel stronger and this light... this light is what I need and will use to end that douchebags life. I try to get him to remain in one spot but his flames are starting to get in my way and here is where the light that I have starts shining brightly and lights my body completely.

Pyro seems to notice this and uses his flames to form a wall in between him and I... but it doesn't work. I burst through that wall like it was nothing, breaking it down with my light.

I think I get the gist of this power but there's more. I just know it. Anyway as I jumped through I was able to land one solid punch on him with the light surrounding my fist completely.

After that it seemed as if Pyro could no longer use his flames to its fullest anymore but he has quite a bit of steam left. That's fine. I'll chip away the last bit of his power, the last of his life too. He needs to pay for what he's done.

As I thought that, somehow a sword started forming in the air ready to take him on. This is exactly what I need to beat him or... kill him.

It seems like it works with my movement. I then raise an arm and point towards Pyro who notices this. In return he raises another fire wall in front of him. I flick my finger and the sword flies in his direction. I think I might've gotten him but...

It seems like his saviour has shown up. It's that dumb girl Aqua, who's getting in my way right now.

" PYRO, you think you're saved now that you're girlfriend is here huh? No you're far from that. I'll end you, no matter what! Get out the way girl if you want to live."

Aqua:" No there is no way I'd let you kill him, I'll protect him no matter what!"

Illume realizes that what she has with Pyro is similar to what he had with Shadow except for the whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing of course!🤣

"You see, that right there. That pisses me off! You should know what it's like then Aqua. You should understand what I'm going through right now, he... took away the one I had to protect. The one friend I swore I'd protect no matter what. You of all people would understand. Look over there, that's where my little bro is! Pyro killed him! If it wasn't for him Shadow would still be alive. It would only be fair if I took his life. An eye for an eye."

Aqua looks shocked:" Pyro... what have you... what have you done?"

Pyro finally speaks up:" I didn't mean to, it was an accident, it all happened so fast, I'm sorry..."

Illume hears this and loses his mind:" Sorry? You're fucking sorry? I don't think you know what that even means you fucking douchebag! You have no idea! That kid had no one! Fucking... no one. He had nothing and yet you had to take his life even. I will never forgive you for that!"

Pyro:" I'm sorry... I didn't mean to... it was an accident."

Illumes rage gets even worse. The tears rolling down his face makes his distraught even clearer.

" ACCIDENT? What? I know that what I'm about to do to you won't be no accident Pyro! You're done!"

As I say this my light shines again. This time bringing forth more and more weapons of war. The weapons shine with the glimmering light that I've acquired and are all directed towards him seemingly ready to end his life.

Right then someone else who looks like Pyro jumps in saying:" That's enough!" With tremendous flames bursting out the seams as he arrives.

And this moment exactly, the traveler who's been spectating this whole time shows up behind Illume.

Traveler:" Okay that's about the end of this farce. Come on boy let me take you away from here. Can't let the last of our kind die here by the strongest fire wielders flames now can I?"

" Huh who the hell are... oh it's you, the weirdo from before. Buzz off I'll finish them all right here right now!"

Traveler:" No, you will do no such thing."

He then grabs me by my neck and lifts me while walking towards one of those strange light portals. What's happening why can't I use my power?

Traveler:" Oh are you perhaps wondering as to why your powers are gone. Yes, that is one of the best perks of our light. It negates everything even weaker light and your light is weak indeed... for now. Let's head somewhere we can talk."

" I'm not going any where until I deal with him!"

I point out towards Pyro.

Traveler:" Oh him? No, leave that little weakling alone for now. He is of no use to us whatsoever. If you wish to dispose of him after you learn the truth and after we increase your power, you may do so but for now... let us leave this place."

Illume and the traveler then disappear into the light.

While Pyro, Aqua and Inferno are left baffled.

Aqua:" Master, thank you for coming to our rescue. Do you maybe have any clue who that was?"

Inferno:" No, but it seems like we've gotten ourselves into an even bigger mess then before. I've got a bad feeling about this. Let's leave before anyone else shows up. Pyro are you okay?"

Pyro seems like he doesn't even want to open his mouth but he does just to respond with a " Y-yeah."

Inferno:" Good because after this I'm training you until your bones break."

Once they finish talking they return home.

Meanwhile no one has noticed that Shadows body has disappeared as well.

Within those events there where other events occurring within Shadows body itself...

Within Shadow:

"If this is my death then I'd be fine with that."

The Void:" Boy I have been waiting for too long for this, finally you are dead!!!Hahahahahahahahahahhaha!"

"Wait huh, am I missing something? We're clearly dead. Well at least there's an upside. I won't have to hear your annoying voice in my head anymore, so I'm happy with that."

The void answers saying something so mysterious that I'm left wondering.

The Void:" No... this is where you'll be seeing me... more often..."
