The men look around on the beach, trying to find supplies.

Hey, over here! We all shout from the upper side of the cave. The men look around and shout to us.

Hey! Who are you? One of the men asks.

We come from California in the United States, our plane on the way to London crashed. Lawson says.

We've been stuck here for quite some time! Adam adds.

Oh! One of the men yells up at us from the bottom of the beach.

What they don't know is we have help on our way for just us.

Our plane is already on its way, isn't it? The other man asks.

Yes, sir. He replies.

The men planned to leave without us, I didn't know then but I know now. My family, Niekro, and I hurried down to the men on the beach.

Ah! The men exclaimed.

What is that?

That is Niekro, one of the friendly creatures from deep in the jungle. Lawson explains.

You mean there are more? They ask.

Well, yes sir, so far we've only seen two. He says.

They have been hiding until recently, we were sleeping and one of them tried to attack my father. He adds.

So, they are dangerous? The men ask.

Well, not exactly, this one is friendly, our family assumes the female counterpart are the dangerous ones. Adam says.

Around this time, darkness has fallen upon the island, both groups go to sleep. A helicopter arrives at the island in the middle of the night. The loud noises wake up both groups.

You were planning on leaving?! I yell to the men as they are packing up their bags.

Duh! Do you think we were going to stay here, our huge corporation has to succeed with us. One of the men explains to me.

The men board the helicopter and leave.

They weren't even going to help us! I yell.

This is insane. I thought to myself.

Well, there goes our only means for escape. Adam points out.

The creature is still with us, that's what counts! Lawson says.

Well, the female creature needs a name. I inform my family.

How about Niekra? Lawson suggests.

OK, that works I suppose, the creature, Niekra, isn't like Niekro she is dangerous and will stop at nothing to harm us. Adam says.

Niekro runs towards the beach, he knows what is to come. A huge storm moves towards the beachfront, one of size to wipe out a town. He starts yelling crazy, confusing things.

What does that mean? Mom? Lawson asks.

I want to assume, he is telling us about the storm! I reply.

We must run towards the cave!

Once there, we started another fire, and everyone fell asleep. I woke up to the loud storm, which awakened Niekro also, and the rest of the family.

I am hungry. I let them know.

Well, what are we going to eat? Adam asks.

I don't know, but I wonder if Niekro can comprehend what we say. I ask.

I walk up to the creature, who is scratching himself.

Can you get us some food? I ask in a slow, patient, and calming voice. He looks around, then finally looks outside, he shakes his head in disagreement.

It is safe for you to go out there, we will stay in here and wait. I say.

He agrees with a simple look. Niekro hops out of the cave so he can feed the family he must protect.
