《The Royal Mates》Chapter Fifty-Three

~Amorelli~
I stared into the mirror. I couldn't believe this. I had been given a second mark by Comrade. Was this even supposed to be possible? The new mark was next to my first one and it seemed like the two were forming into something. The first one I had was the waves with a moon in the back. This one seemed to be a wolf at the waterline. It was truly amazing. It was like they were emerging into one mark, but you could see the bite marks, knowing it is a separate mark.
"Mordikai? Do you think this happened because you're the Alpha, as well as King of all Werewolves?" Mordikai thought about it as he sat down next to me. I snuggled up into his side and sighed. After our sex session and Mordikai noticed the new mark, Mordikai put on a pair of boxers. I had put on a thin robe that thankfully wasn't see-through. Mordikai rubbed his face and got up.
"Where are you going?" I called out to him and he was rummaging through the closet.
"We are going to talk to my parents and the elders. To see if this is okay. Come on love, get dressed." I nodded and grabbed an evening dress. It wasn't too late in the day, but it was getting close to dinner. My dress was a floor-length, blue color. It had long sleeves, and the sleeves were completely made out of lace. I put on some black flats as I didn't feel like wearing heels. I heard Mordikai growl lightly. I looked at him confused.
"What?" He grabbed my hips and lightly pulled me closer to him. He wrapped his arms around me and I sighed. He kissed the top of my head and tilted my chin up to look at him.
"You are just so beautiful. I don't know what I would do without you." I smiled and kissed his lips softly. After I had brushed out my hair and made sure I looked presentable, we walked out of the closet. Mordikai went to open the door, and when he did he held it open for me.
"After you, my beautiful Queen," I blushed and giggled. I stumbled a little bit and laughed as I fell into Mordiaki.
"Well, I guess Alistair was right about me not being able to walk." We laughed and as I slowly walked out the door Mordikai slapped my ass playfully. I laughed again and wrapped my arm around his waist. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder as he held me against him. I sighed in content as we made our way to the Garden. Nine times out of ten, Carlisle and Alyx are there. When we reached the garden they were nowhere in sight. I groaned and looked up at Mordikai.
"Well, where do you think they went." He was about to speak before he gasped and dragged me inside toward the kitchen.
"Mordikai? What the hell just happened?" I was rubbing his arm gently to calm him down.

"I uh," He cleared his throat. "I heard my parents doing what we were doing not too long ago." He grabbed a glass and filled it with water and drank from it. He was red from embarrassment. I laughed really hard at his state. Mordikai growled at me, trying to be menacing.
"This isn't funny, Amorelli!" The more flustered he got the more I laughed. I fell to the floor and slapped my knee in the process.
"Damn it, Amorelli! Stop laughing!" I cackled at his statement and he started laughing with me. He picked me off the ground after I had calmed down and pulled me close. I laid my head on his chest and sighed. Zinniah and Serge had come into the kitchen not too long after we stopped laughing.
"Hey, we heard you guys laughing. What was so funny?" Zinniah asked as she sat down on the stool. I snorted while trying to keep in my laughter. Mordikai went red once again and I laughed as I stepped away from him.
"Well, for context, Comrade marked me himself and we went to ask Carlisle and Alyx why this happened. I didn't hear anything, but Mordikai heard them doing stuff." I gave Zinniah a look after I finished my sentence and she looked at Mordikai and he was still just as red. Zinniah giggled and sat on Serge's lap after he pulled her into him.
"That's funny though, you have to admit." Serge chuckled lightly and stared at Zinniah lovingly. I sighed as Carlisle and Alyx came into the kitchen. You could definitely tell they were indeed doing things to one another not too long ago. I almost started laughing again when Mordikai growled at me.
"For Goddess sake, Amorelli! Stop laughing!" I covered my mouth as I smiled and giggled. Alyx looked over to her son and saw his face was red and how he refused to look at his parents. Alyx put two and two together and blushed.
"Oh, I'm sorry honey. We don't do that again." Mordikai rubbed the back of his neck and nodded. I cleared my throat to compose myself and turned to face his parents. Carlisle was the first to notice the mark.
"Amorelli? Did Comrade or Alistair mark you as well?" I gaped at him. I nodded slowly as Alyx went to look at the mark. Zinniah made an "oh" sound and wandered up to me to take a gander at my new mark.
"Is this okay? I mean, they both have bitten the mark Mordikai gave me, and nothing like this has happened. Are the wolves and inner wolves supposed to mark their mate as well?" I wrung my hands together in worry. Alyx grabbed them and squeezed gently.
"I don't know. My only explanation is that since Mordikai is an Alpha and a King, every being within him desires to mark their mate just as the human side has. I'm sure it is nothing, but we can talk to the elders and ask them." She gave me a small smile and i nodded as I returned my own smile. I frowned for a moment and spoke again.

"Well, Carlisle was once Alpha and King. Why didn't it happen with you guys?" Alyx thought about it for a moment and looked at Carlisle.
"She has a point, darling. We do need to talk to the elders about this." As she finished her sentence, one of the Elders had come into the room. It was the Elder that had removed Carlisle from his position. Carlisle bowed his head slightly in respect. I smiled at him and did the same. The Elder smiled and walked over to me. He inspected my neck and sighed.
"Was it Comrade or Alistair?"
"Comrade. Do you know why this happened?" I couldn't help the worry seeping back into my voice. I heard Mordikai sigh and he came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me. I leaned into his touch and felt more worry seeping into my bones. Mordikai rubbed my arms in a way to comfort me.
"This isn't bad. It's just very uncommon. Since you are pregnant with all of their children, Comrade and Alistair can both mark you. Their own special marks. It's not harmful in any way." I nodded and felt Mordikai growl. I groaned as I felt my head tilt forward.
"Yes, Alistair?" I looked back up to him without turning my body. I heard his low growl rumble throughout his body. I shivered and blushed a deep red. Zinniah just laughed at us. I gave her a little glare and stuck my tongue out at her. We giggled before we turned back to the Elder.
"So, it really is nothing? Everything is okay?" I asked him and he smiled and nodded. I let out a sigh of relief and Alistair was trying to lead me somewhere. He led me into a bathroom that was a few rooms away, but he was too eager about it.
"Alistair! You really want to mark me that badly?" I laughed at his behavior and he growled menacingly at me. I scoffed and patted his cheek.
"Doesn't work on me anymore. Try something else, darling." I laughed and he growled to himself. He yanked me into the bathroom and kissed me passionately. I sighed as I wrapped my arms around his neck. He picked me up and placed me on the sink. I was honestly surprised. He was kissing me because of lust. He was kissing me softly and passionately. He wanted to make him marking me as romantic as he could. I kissed him softly before I realized I didn't want him marking me inside a bathroom. I pulled away slightly and looked into his eyes.
"Baby, I love you. But, do you really want to mark me in a bathroom?" I laughed softly and he sighed. He leaned his head against mine.
"You're right. Let's go out to the garden. I can have our dinner delivered out to us, and we can sit in the moonlight. Enjoying one another's company, and then I can make it as romantic as I'd like. As romantic as you'd like. How does that sound?" My heart fluttered furiously when he said that. I held my heart and nodded softly. Alistair smiled and kissed me softly. When I opened my eyes again, I noticed it was Mordikai. I smiled and we walked out of the bathroom. But before we could, Zinniah and Serge fell onto the floor, as they were eavesdropping on the other side of the door. We all laughed as the couple stood. We walked back into the kitchen to find Carlisle and Alyx gone. Instead, my mother and sister were there.
"Mom, Mariana!" I called out to them and Mariana squirmed in my mother's arms before she put her down. Mariana ran up to me and I picked her up. Mordikai chuckled and poked around from behind me to say hi to her.
"Hello Mordikai," Mariana said sheepishly and I laughed lightly.
"You can tell who is who?" I asked her and she nodded. I saw Mordikai staring at Mariana intently. As if he was trying to figure something out. He slowly leaned forward to look at her face. He moved back quickly and shook his head furiously.
"Mordikai? Are you alright?" He coughed a little and sat down.
"I think Mariana has powers that no one is aware of. I noticed it last week when I had to talk to your mother about something concerning the warlock. It was like I was compelled to her, like the sirens that attacked me when I took you home. Ariana," He called out to her but she was already next to him.
"Is it possible that Mariana might be a siren?" Ariana looked shocked before she really took a good look at her daughter.
"She does have the structure of a siren when she is in the water. I don't see why she would be one though. It is possible for mermaids to turn into sirens if they are born that way, but it rarely happens. Sirens are their own breed, but it doesn't mean that mermaids can't turn into them." I nodded and looked into Mariana's eyes. I didn't feel the same thing as Mordikai felt, but if its the case where it might cause danger to either one of them, I don't want them around each other until we know what's happening.
"Well, I guess you two shouldn't be around one another for a while then until we can figure out what is going on." They nodded and my mother spoke up.
"Oh, by the way, I have that siren you asked for Mordikai." I paused and looked at him. He chuckled and gave me a cheeky smile.
"Mordikai, what siren?"

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
