《The Royal Mates》Chapter Four

~Amorelli~
Zinniah and I had woken up the next morning after taking long showers and scrubbing well to get his touch off of us. We started working in the fields but I couldn't control my anger anymore. The female guard had pulled Zinniah and me off to the side, pretending to get our asses in shape and get us back to work.
"Amorelli, calm down!" Zinniah tries grabbing my shoulder making me turn around, and I push her hand off of me.
"I'm sorry, but I will not be a sex slave. And neither will you be one. It's bad enough we have to go through with their torture for doing something wrong in the fields. What if we do something wrong there? What will happen then?" I whispered in a furious tone. One I never use unless I'm about to explode, which hasn't happened since I was younger. I tried keeping down my anger, and it worked for a while, but this is the last straw.
We have to get out of here. But I don't know how the guard is going to help us escape. I have a gut feeling something terrible will happen if she tries to help us escape. Or worse, she'll tell the Boss about our little plan; then we'll all be doomed. She must have a death wish, or she wants to see how easy it will be to get us into trouble with the boss.
"Besides, how can we even know if you're on our side? For all we know, you could be planning this just to report us to the boss." I pointed at the guard, and she started to look upset. Like she wanted to tell us something personal.
"Look, I've wanted to leave this place for years. I was sold here as a slave, but when I fought off most of the guards, the boss thought it'd be a good idea to have me as one of his guards. But I didn't arrive here alone. I had my daughter and son with me." She paused as tears formed in her eyes.

"They immediately took my son and put him through painful training to become a guard like me, but he was only fifteen. They didn't even give him a chance. They put him through one training session and immediately killed him in front of me."
Zinniah and I gasped. How could these people be so awful?
"Then when they saw my daughter they immediately took her in as a sex slave. They didn't even give either of us a choice. They took my baby girl from me, and she was only twelve. My baby girl was used as a sex toy and was also killed in front of me. I never even got to say goodbye. I want to get out of this hell hole. Even if I die in the act, I'll forever be with my babies." The guard finished talking, and Zinniah and I were both shedding tears. Why could anyone be so ruthless to children? Why would they do that in front of her as well?
"I'm so sorry..." Zinnah started but hesitated.
"Maya. My name is Maya. My son's name was Tristan, and my daughter's name was Cierra."
"Okay, Maya... How do you want to do this?" I asked her, and she thought for a second.
"I do not know, but we have until next week. Today is Friday. So next Friday is when we'll have to do this. It won't be easy though."
"Well, no shit Sherlock." I nudged Zinniah and gave her a pointed look. She quietly apologized and looked down.
"We do know it will not be easy. Any time a slave or anyone tries to escape and fails, which they always do, is punishable by instant death. And if you don't die right then and there, they will make your death slow and painful."
"I know. Girls, we need to be careful with this. We can not risk anything. Do you understand?" We nodded as she continued.

"Thank you. I'd rather get you girls out of here first than me. I want to be with my children again. Where no one can take us away from each other. I know what's going on here is wrong. Over the next few days, I will be meeting with you every night. And I will be telling you both the secrets of this place."
"Secrets?"
"Yes. Location, guard rounds, which will change if you both manage to escape. Who is here, who you both are-"
"Who we are?"
"The Prophecy-"
"Prophecy?!"
"Shush!"
I became quiet and looked around making sure no one heard us. No one was paying attention, so Maya continued.
"Yes. In all due time, both of you will know everything. As a part of the Boss' private guards, we are required to know every little secret involved in this whole operation."
"Operation? Maya, you're scaring me." Zinniah cowers behind me and grips my shirt. I brought her in front of me and held her close, running my fingers through my hair to calm her down.
"I know this is all so fast. But you will know in all due time. I promise. You will know who you are, where you're from... who and where your family is..."
"My family?" I asked with curiosity.
"I've said enough already. Tomorrow night we will meet. I will stop by here and pick both of you up."
"Thank you, Maya. What time tomorrow night?" I asked softly.
"It takes about thirty minutes for the guards to successfully change at night. So at exactly 11:30, we will meet. I will take you both to a little area that no one knows of but me. We will talk until midnight, and then I shall quickly escort you both back to your cabin. Understood?"
"Understood." Zinniah and I replied at the same time, and I saw another guard coming towards us.
"Male guard 12:00."
"Alright girls. Get back to work. You've wasted my time enough already." Maya spoke in a hard tone. We both nodded quickly and ran back to the field and got to work. At the end of the day, we ate dinner and showered once again and got ready for bed. We sat on our beds for a while and heard the night bell, signaling curfew.
"Goodnight Amorelli."
"Goodnight Zinniah."

~Samara~
I feel so disgusted. I feel dirty. I hate it here. I want to go home to that boy. I want to know who he is and why I always think of him. I want to escape, but I don't know how to. It's impossible. If you try to escape, you'll be killed on sight. I want to know who my parents were. Who my family is. If I have a family.
The people here haven't told me anything except for the fact that my name is Samara and I have a little chain bracelet that I've had on me since I was born. It's the only reminder of what my life used to or was going to be.
I want to know how to get out of here, but no one has tried escaping. There have been attempts by a few of the guards, but they were all killed.
What if I'm never able to go home? I know I'm not from here because I see people being taken in all the time, so I can assume I was taken in as well. I wonder what happened that day. If my parents were worried that I was taken, or if they gave me up. I hope it's not the second one.
I hope one day someone can get me out of here. All of us out of here.

A train of thought compendium.I have them every now and then. Or to be more accurate, they have me. One offs. Shorts. Tales. Parables. Fables. And other weird things. This line has no schedule. No track number. No set destination. Sometimes it's an El. At other times, a space shuttle, taxi, caravan or fast moving treadmill. And every now and then it's a subway passing through underground caverns, littered with cobwebs. These sporadic ideas pop into my head at the weirdest of times. Some end in the middle. Some end with a fizzle. Some end with a bang.
