《A Hidden Secret(Cancelled)》V3 25: Autumn Malay's Life #1

My life wasn't really the best growing up, even though I had super speed. I was never faster enough to escape the betrayals, My environment was around areas where everyone walked around with very expensive things looking down on poor kids like me.

It was going well until I headed to school turning eight, the suspected age of where everyone starts becoming rich from the Government checkups, I had many groups of friends ranging from legal to illegal, but when my check came in I was ranked as a poor civilian.

Here is my story.

"Autumn!" An excited female voice shouted from behind Autumn's young aged face, Autumn perked her head up to the blonde girl smiling with happiness stare with her honest eyes that relaxed Autumn's nervousness.

"Lucinda...what's up?" Asked Autumn sounding tired.

"You want to join with my friends on messing around witH Kaylee?" Smirked Lucinda devilishly.

"No thanks, I don't want to be part of that business," Autumn answered with a sigh.

"You little innocent child," Lucinda cackled, squeezing Autumn's cheeks gently but violently at the same time.

"You're a child as well," Autumn replied, softly smacking Lucinda as she ran away with her groups of friends.

After watching them chase each other outside the classroom, Autumn directed her eyes over to a slumped Kaylee sitting at the back of the classroom with every shake intruding her trembling hands, Autumn gets out of her chair and started walking over to a silenced Kaylee. As she reached out her hand to grab a chair, Kaylee quickly slapped Autumn's hand away with a hint of being afraid about what was going to happen after her sudden outburst.

"O-Oh, I'm sorry...I thought you were a fly," Kaylee stuttered, covering her face with her ocean of bruises spread across her entire arms under all of the scars that dug across the damaged veins.

"Your lying gotta be better than that, you idiot~" Autumn giggled quietly as she sat in front of a scared Kaylee.

"Why are you the only one who treats me nicely?" Kaylee muttered under her breath.

"Because that's just who I am," Autumn answered politely.

"Then help me!" Kaylee begged with a whimper.

"I wish I-" Autumn got interrupted by Kaylee gripping onto Autumn's tiny wrist.

"F-Frame her...I have pictures of her drugging herself..." Kaylee whispered desperately.

"Kaylee, she's eight years old. I don't think-" Autumn went to say but immediately stopped herself when she saw Kaylee place down a picture of Lucinda secretly injecting blue liquid with the needle being labelled, "Power multiplier" into her inner right arm under Autumn's nose.

Autumn's jaw dropped from shock as she couldn't keep her eyes off the picture Kaylee just lent her, Autumn snatched the picture and hid it under her blazer while looking around the classroom to see if anyone was watching secretly. Autumn leaned over to Kaylee pointing her finger right at Kaylee's traumatized face.

"I'll keep this...so don't tell anyone and I'll sort you out, ok?" Autumn questioned as she hopped off the chair to run out of the classroom to give Kaylee no time to respond, Kaylee glanced at the chair Autumn sat in and bit on her bloody nails.

Lucinda was found hanging around with her gang of friends in an isolated alley that was not that far away from the school she went to, Autumn hid behind the wall and listened in on their conversations.

"Why aren't you hurting that bitch Autumn as well?" An annoyed female asked.

"Because I plan to grow her ego and destroy it, now give me that fucking Power Multiplier!" Lucinda demanded aggressively.

"Ok...Jesus, why do you need this drug so much?" Another female asked worriedly.

"I need it so I can reach 5c and deactivate my light grey lightning since it will alert anyone that I was drug-abusing my speed power...to make my mother proud of how far I've come," Lucinda answered after a massive exhale of a painful groan.

Listening to the conversation made Autumn regret the decision as anger started boiling throughout her body, her eyes crackled orange shaded lightning before she vanishes with traces of orange generated lightning from behind her body.

Autumn zapped around the city roads, cracking the windows with sounds of a sonic boom when she zoomed by, tears ran down her fragile cheeks, ignoring the upcoming van that was in her way. Her entire body vibrated before phasing through the levitating van, the clouds surrounding Autumn struck the rage of lightning, forcing the civilians to walk inside to avoid the rush of sharp rain hitting the ground.

She eventually halted in front of a small, rotten house hidden in the deep shadows be lit up by the two quiet shadows that walked through the outdated household, Autumn hurried inside to see her two parents stare back at her with a concerned expression read on their wrinkly skin.

"You've come home quicker than expected...I'm guessing the thunder scared ya?" The father joked with a scoff following his raspy, dying voice.

"Do I make you proud?" Autumn unexpectedly asked, silencing the room with built-up sadness.

"Honey, there's no need to make us proud because having you in our world makes us proud anyway..." The mother answered softly.

"I'm going to keep working the right way so I can have you both live in luxury houses...I will never cheat," Autumn cried into the whispering night.

The reason why she was upset was that she was a girl that hated cheaters that manipulate the system to win big prizes while Autumn struggled to win any. She also hated the fake masks she grew up with, Autumn worked secret hours to save money for her unlucky family that was abandoned into the new era of a generation.

But her battle for a prize was a lost situation from the very first day, she knew the Government will look at her as a burden and drop her off into the streets after looking into the history of her family tree.

Autumn's family history was always on the poor spectrum being bullied by rich families for centuries, Autumn had to lie about her life because she was afraid of being bothersome and she knew it too.

But now, she finally has something that will blackmail the riches.

She was grinning with excitement because she finally won by faking a whole persona so she could find a weakness.

And Lucinda on drugs was the very weakness Autumn thrived for.
