《A Hidden Secret(Cancelled)》6: Phone Call

Pride is a holy thing that everyone will always grab hold of, but when that pride is hunted down by a predator that the prideful person thought was weak, would shred them apart into millions of pieces. It was a strong pride Ms Paden held over her head and that was the cheat that allowed her to move through the ranks with her powerful rare power ability alongside her strong voice that pulled strings from the hearts of anyone. It didn't matter if they were a criminal with shattered souls, she was always the one helping everyone out.
When she thought she was the strongest in her territory, it all came crumbling down when she spent too much trying to figure out Caden's history, that was her very first mistake she ever made. His presence locked Ms Paden back into her dark cave where mazes never stopped changing, she couldn't get rid of them empty gazing eyes.
This sudden change from Ms Paden caught on with everyone in the school, nasty rumours began to spread like a ticking time bomb, the rumours that spread downgraded her even more down the stairs of climbing, desperate people that were trying to reach the very top and grip the hands of a god they all believed in.
"C-Come on now, Paden. H-He's just a kid-" Ms Paden muttered to herself, desperately trying to find a solution to step down the hallways of who she was afraid of, she directed her burnt red eyes towards the one certain classroom door. In the public eye's vision, that room looked perfectly normal but in Ms Paden's vision, all she saw was a dark liquid smoke trail outside the class and onto the floor like a deadly disease.
Collecting all her confidence she hardly clung to it, started moving into the direction of the gloomy doorway where she met the one person she didn't want to meet straight away. Stood stern and confident as he was about to leave the classroom, Caden Dahil.

"Oh, hello Ms Paden," Caden happily greeted.
"H-H-Hey-" Before Ms Paden could stutter her words out =, she was interrupted by a loud tone of voice.
"Caden! I told you to greet higher-ups with Sir and Ma'am." Autumn shouted angrily, poking her head around Caden's shoulder not so long after.
"I thought saying their last names were formal enough, though?" Caden replied, not leaving his dead eyes off Ms Paden's figure.
"Not in my books! Hello, ma'am." Autumn's tone immediately changed into a warm, welcoming tone when she focused her sparkling eyes on Ms Paden's trembling face, "Are you okay?" Autumn asked with a concerned expression.
"A-Ah, y-yes- Just c-checking on every classroom a-after my long break.." Ms Autumn responded, trying to hide her weak voice that kept slipping out the more she spoke.
After hearing the words, Autumn turned her attention back on Caden and started running down the hallway where Caden was being dragged along by force. It was a promise that they both made if Autumn won first on the school exams, which she did very easily without any hesitation.
They headed into the closest town and already smelt delicious things awaiting their visit, Autumn perked her heads at a lonely stable that has a collection of cardboard boxes holding steak on sticks. Autumn didn't wait any longer and chased over to the stable where a wooden table with complex legs held an implanted screen inside the middle of the small table, CGI smoke puffed from out of the screen and had a coal smell to it. It was located right next to the humming old lady wearing a deep black apron around her waist as she peacefully cooked away.
"Two please!" Autumn chirped.
"Two coming right up to the beautiful lady and the relaxed man," The old woman responded softly.

"Thank you!" Autumn happily modulated loudly.
The old lady went on to place two steaks on a plastic plate before handing it over to Autumn, Autumn gently placed cash into the old lady's hand and started walking off with Caden.
Once they finished eating their food, Autumn started exploring the town with Caden and bought each other things so they could remember this exact day. It was a very different thing for Caden, even though he had no humanity left inside him, he felt that this day would be something he could take notice of because it was the very first time he felt comfortable around a person that never pushed him away.
But Caden didn't get too far ahead of himself because he knew this atmosphere will change when his mask unravels and reveals who he truly was from the beginning.
While in their happiest moments, Autumn received a call from Kaylee, her best friend. Autumn told Caden the news and wandered off to a place where people weren't seen interacting with, it was a very dark alleyway that led to a dead-end. Resting her head on the cobblestone wall, she answered the call and placed her phone up to her ears.
"Hello, do you need anything?" Autumn questioned straight away.
"Stop having contact with Caden." A confident voice echoed out of the phone audio.
"Say that again, please. I must have misheard you," Autumn replied in a cold tone.
"I said, stop hanging around with that guy. I knew my guts were right, he is very dangerous and I have proof. He was the last one seen with Ms Paden and now look at Ms Paden, she is all shaken up." Kaylee repeated, adding the sentence with a very correct theory.
"Why are you trying to ruin a friendship I dearly wanted with a male friend? He was the first one that didn't look at me like a subject." Autumn snapped back.
"You don't understand the point! I love that you're happy, that's what I wanted you to be but not with a dangerous person like him!" Kaylee shouted through the phone with an anxious voice.
Autumn pulled the phone away from her ear and ended the call with a muted face, her eyes shifted to emptiness as a grin crept up on her muted expressions, it reached her ears in the form of a monster possessing her.
"Dangerous?"
"Such a cute attempt to rip me apart..."
"Nothing will change my mind because he was the only one who accepted me~"
"The only boy that accepted me~"
"He is my trophy no matter how dangerous he is~"
"And if anyone touches my precious property, or try to drag him away...~"
"They are dying~"
