At afternoon, Brick, Rey and I went back to the headman’s house. And there we saw Black with his backpack.
“Hello, headman” we greeted.
“Hello travelers” He greeted back.
I see Larry standing beside Black. She introduced us to him again so that he would know who is who. “This, here is Cank. This is Rey and this is Brick. I’ve told them we are working with riders. They are okay with it. You can rest assured.” She seems as if nothing has happened.
“Did you tell them about me?” Black asked Larry as if he has expected her to talk about him to us. His facial expression can be read as “It can’t be helped. Whatever”
“I did. They won’t agree so easily if I don’t tell them about your story. When it concerns love, young people are more passionate. You know?” she answered laughingly.
“Okay, Okay, Hello Cank, Rey and Brick, from now on, call me just Black. I no longer am the headman of the village anymore.” He turned to us and said.
“Larry, you must stay healthy and lead the village to prosperity. If, By any chance, we meet again, I want to see you living a happy life. We’ll meet again if fate brings us. Good Bye Larry” Black said his farewell to Larry and left.
“I hope so too”, she just moved her lips. But no sound comes out.
We followed Black. Larry just stood where she had been standing acting as if nothing happened. When we reach the entrance of the village, “Larry, she might become a famous actress if she were on earth. Her acting skill are of the superior quality.” I talked a bit aloud so that Black can hear “Hey Black, you too are good at acting, right?”

“May be. Who knows? I might actually become what you call an actor on your earth when I go there. I’m planning to go there to live.” He answered with a smile.
“You know? You have to pass the language barrier as well as culture. Besides, some of the people from earth are a lot more sinister than you can imagine.” I said.
“I’ve heard about it. However, if I can be with her, I’m ready for everything.” He replied in an easy going way.
“What about Larry? Don’t tell me you don’t see her feelings.” I said, in a serious way.
He stops for a moment. I can’t see his face because he is in front of us. His voice becomes very stiff and it seems he is in extreme anger. “It is the punishment she deserve for reporting” he said before continue walking.
I said nothing more about Larry. It seems since a long time ago, he has already known who the reporter is. I think I better not let her knows that Black hates her to this extends. That is, just like Black’s speech, if fate lets Larry and us meet again.
Along the way to White star wood, Black tell us the details of the mission. “We are working with 5 riders. But in reality, the number counts 10 since they have brought a mok-pet each. One of the riders is the son of the chief of the rider tribe.”
“To hunt the giant crow-mok is his mission. He was supposed to hunt his mok-soul with this 4 body guards. My girlfriend was one of his bodyguards and also the one who suggested to co-operate with the locals so that his mission will finish more safely and quickly.”
“When I speak with her in secret, she told me that their chief wouldn’t let her go since she knows their hiding spot. But she want to live with me. She also wanted to help her chief’s son so that she would feel less guilt later. That’s why we will wait till the chief’s son get a giant crow-mok soul. Then, we’ve planned that you guys and I would abduct her and pretend to kill her after the mission is over. After that, we will go to your world or roam around the soul world as HighJumps” he explained.

“About the reward, the giant crow mok-soul we agreed. Did Larry tell you?” I asked.
“Don’t worry. After abducting and “killing” my girlfriend, we will hide until the riders go back to their tribe. Then, she and I will help you guys hunt a giant crow mok-soul. And I’ll give you the item they promised me as payment for our help. I think that item would help you a lot.” he replied.
“By the way do you know anything important about the giant crow-mok like its weakness or how to hunt it in a safe way?” asked Rey.
Black looked at him and said, “Yes, I will tell you when the time comes. Don’t worry. It’s not very difficult to hunt giant crow-mok. The difficult part is to abduct my girlfriend from the hands of the riders. We will discuss about it again after knowing more about other riders. First, we will see them in action.”
After some time, we reached the place where riders are waiting. I saw a boy about the same age as Rey. And also another 3 men and a woman. She is about the same age as Black. I’m sure the only woman is the woman Black is doing all this for.
All of their pets are dog-moks. One of the man is a dwarf. He is so short that if someone see him from afar, they would think he is a child. I think what Rey and I saw was that guy. In conclusion, I have to observe those 3 men and particularly, the boy more attentively.
“Hello, are we late?” said Black to the riders.
“Just in time” replied the woman.
“Let’s introduce each other properly. I’m Black. He is Cank. He is Brick and He is Rey” introduced Black.
“Hello, nice to meet you. I hope a happy co-operation.” I said. Rey and Brick said nothing more than hello.
“Hello, I’m the great SaberTooth, the son of the tribe’s chief” said the boy.
“I’m Glyph, his bodyguard.” Said the woman.
So, her name is Glyph, I thought.
“I’m Trigger”, “I’m watchdog”, “I’m EagleEye”, said the other three respective.
The short man is EagleEye. The big guy is watchdog. He is blind. The thin guy is trigger. I memorize their name and appearance.
“Shall we start our work?” said Black. The riders ride their respective dog-moks and then we set forth to our destination, border area between the white star wood and the starry desert, the hunting ground of the giant crow-mok.

I'm Just a Nameless Side Character in a Vampire Romance Novel
I cried myself asleep after reading the ending to the "Rose and its Thorns" only to wake up as a nameless side character that dies before the novel even begins! Rose and its Thorns is popular webnovel about Julia, the female lead who is sold by her evil stepmother as bride candidate of the Rose Empire. It's a powerful but notorious Empire ruled by Vampires and populated by all the non human races of the world. In the end she had her happily ever after with the crown prince of the Empire, but Eclis, the Grand Duke and the second male lead dies with a broken heart. The novel updated nearly every week and I read it as it published for 3 years! I don't know how I got here but I'm going to thoroughly enjoy myself in this world and correct this novel to the ending Eclis deserves! Release schedule: Wednesday, Saturday at 2:30pm PST

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
