《Gary the Mimic》Ch.2 Still Dark

I wake up with a headache but everything else seems fine… wait why can't I see or hear?
In a panic I tried to move but I could only feel my jaw opening. It takes a long time of panicking to calm down but I eventually do.
"Hey A-L-1 did my soul move?"
That name is a bit hard to say, maybe I can call them something else.
"Yes, soul transfer is complete."
Well if that's done now maybe I can do some small talk.
"A-L-1 can I call you Ali?"
"I will now recognize my name as Ali."
After a while of talking with no answers back I wasn't sure what to do. I could experiment with skills and see what they do. How would I activate it? Maybe call it.
"Trance!"
"There was an error. Please name distance, power, and amount to effect."
Did it say I needed those? Let's try a command. Open skill menu.
[{Skill pas}
{Skill act}
]
Next time I should just say which skill I want. But did the skill change?
"Ali, that skill changed right?"
"Yes I have updated the menu on active skills to make it easier for you."
Well that's nice, now let's use it.
"Trance, one meter, one creature, and two mana use.
After I say this I feel a circle form and thoughts flood my mind for a second which makes the headache I have worse.
"Ow ow ow ow."
After the pain subsides a little, I can feel a string type thing come out and travel around me about a meter awa. After some time of nothing happening, my hopes for something dwindled.
[{Passive Skill unlocked}
]
Huh a new skill that's nice… Does this mean I would have run out of mana?

With panic rising again I asked Ali but before that I took a deep breath to calm down.
"Ali what would've happened if I ran out of mana?"
"Your soul would be considered being put in a weak state, making demons and spirits able to possess you."
Yikes thank god that didn't happen at least I'm safe now. I should check on my mana.
[(2/10 : 1mp per min)]
Wouldn't this mean I also don't have a way to heal?
"Yes."
Hey, don't read my mind!
"But I would've had to there."
Hmmm you make a fair point but I still disagree. I stare daggers at the screen for a few seconds although I don't have eyes.
Getting off that topic I can't regen Hp so this might be hard if I get into a fight. Before I could give another thought, trance had caught something. Could it be food, wait what if it wants to eat me?
I panic for a while until I realize I'm a chest so if it's human I'm dead, if it's a monster it should just pass by me and I have trance to help. I try to tell to move away but nothing and I look at my mana.
I'm out of mana already!
I feel the circle start to dissipate and it feels like a sense is gone. All I can do is hope it's not a person.
I feel something crawling on me and it itches.
"Hey that itches, stop it."
It's an itch I can never reach. How much longer on my mana.
[(0/10 : 1 per min)]
I watch my mana waiting for it to hit one point.
"Trance, clousist creature, one."
Thoughts flud my mind again giving me a headache but a string slowly goes towards it and attaches. Thinking of the future I open my mouth and brace for the taste.

I've eaten crickets covered in chocolate so how bad could this be. I close my mouth and hope for a good taste. *hurg* oh why does it taste so bad it's such a strong iron taste.
[{Food bio}
(Iron tail centipede : known for being high in Iron and protein this rare monster gets their name from the carapace and food they eat which is metal. To earn this name it must have eaten a lot of iron. The carapace is very hard, even a boulder falling on it can't damage it.)]
Well that's a few interesting facts but I don't taste the centipede part.
"A new skill and menu is unlocked."
"What?"
[{Digest}
(Iron tail centipede)
(3% digested)
(hungry < satisfied)]
As I look at the two windows another window appears.
[Exp awarded(2), title first blood awarded (no benefits), gluttony failed.]
Can't I get some time to read!? *sigh* I'm starting to feel better now that I've got food in me so it's time to sleep. Maybe it's just hard now…
