《The Forgotten Portal》A quest. Heroic right? It's my second day at camp.

Let me register this.
I woke up in my bunk and got ready for breakfast. Then our Oracle, Racheal, blurt out a phrophecy.
So apparently the seven, Nico and the Everdeens had to go on a quest. They had had to reclose the Doors of Death........again. This time Kronos was rising.........again. With Tartarus at his aid. Perfect.
Leo wasn't sure he had a transportation big enough for ten demigods. Argo II was gone, Festus wasn't long enough and there wasn't anything else. Unless they wanted to shadow travel across the world every twelve hours and kill Nico.
Aurora just wandered of while the others bickered.
She walked into a beach with cyrstal clear waters and white sand. (Camp is located in Long Island or something, right? So shouldn't there be a beach?)
She took a deep breath and started to sing. Not the pop songs or jazz. It was this.....choir. Go watch mlp rainbow rocks where the dazzlings go 'ahhhhhh'. Yeah that's what she sang.
Song of the sirens they say. A huge boat rose out of the waves.
It looked exactly like the Argo II.
Leo Valdez then came charging out of the clearing, followed by the others.
"Holy Hephestaus, Aurora! What did you do?"
"Nothing. Just singing."
Leo looked just about ready to pass out.
"How?"
"No time!" Moana shouted out of nowhere. Halsey at her heels, carrying five bags. Moana herself was carrying a heap of luggage.
They dumped the bags at the feet of Aurora. Moana looked up at Aurora expactently.
"What?"
Moana frowned.
Aurora rolled her eyes. Fine
The bag began to float in to the new boat.
Moana stared at the boat.
"Gift from......Poseidon?"
"Athena made the blueprints, Hephestaus made the boat and Poseidon carried it here."

"Okay."
"Alright, let's go." Aurora shouted making everyone jump.
The ten demigods piled into the boat.
The boat groaned slightly and began to move. They all turned around and waved to Luke and Camp Half-Blood.
So I bet your wondering why I'm not going. Well, I may be in Camp but that doesn't mean I'm a demigod. Yup, you guessed it. I am a mortal.
Aurora promised me that she would help me to return to my home after the quest.
Now your wondering why didn't I just go out of camp and go back to New York. It's not that easy. There like a bazillion monsters in the woods and well, where I come from there are NO demigods. How do I know this? Aurora clarified that the well I jumped through was actually a portal from another dimension. Not just from New York to somewhere near Manhatten.
XXXXXXX
The new Argo II sailed peace fully away from Long Island.
Everything was going well until......

Seclusion
I look at the mountain of paperwork before me. I'm overworked. Slowly, my eyes fall shut. I'm so tired of this... A loud 'bang' caused by dropping off another pile of paperwork made me bolt upright. My maid stands before, scorn in her eyes. Annoyed, I wave her away—this is not the first time that that has happened. And she is not the only one who does that. 'Hated by my own people,' I sigh internally and rub my temples. This is not what my 'freedom' was supposed to look like. My eyes hover over the ring on my finger. I tried, you know? Right now, I only want everything to stop. Maybe read some books, eat something delicious, and nap as often as I want to. Wait...I am the matriarch! Hell, I can do whatever I want! Books? I can pocket whole libraries in my domain. Food? Also, in my domain. Naps? Well, there are many cuddly nooks in there. Sooo...my domain has everything I need—dunno why I never thought of this before. All that's left is to relocate its entrance to another totally secret place. How about that hidden forest temple? Yes, let's go with this! Goodbye obligations, goodbye people who always want to take over, goodbye enemies, and at last, good riddance to the council that tries to marry me off to one of these fat ugly narcissistic nobles. Uhh, I just hope nothing will go wrong during my long-term absence. Nahhh, nothing will happen at all; I am totally sure of it...probably. ______ This is the rewrite of the old story: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/273362/seclusion-old-version--dropped/ Alternate Titel: I lived so long in seclusion that everybody forgot about me
