Venture forth lads for a new settlement awaits

Carry your luggage, let not tiredness delay us

We must build anew, mankind's first town in this barren continent

Lest we be driven away by storms of despair!

Think not of what has been lost, instead think of this as an opportunity delivered by God!

To be able to spend our new lives with our brothers and sisters

While our elders and soldiers look for our former lives, venturing far north to look for the way to India, Indochina, and the Dutch East

Let us surprise them with houses and buildings, bakeries and cafes, hospitals and nurseries

To see their sons and daughters thriving proudly as they go on about

Building a new life for us all
