“After the Metro-police City incident that left thousands of people being evacuated, leaving only military personnel and helicopters going in and out for many hours in the city, it is stated that everything has been resolved but due to security and health reasons, no one is allowed back in the city until further investigations have been done and everything have been fixed and clean, which will take approximately six months, this is the latest news development about Metro-Police City” stated a long brown haired woman in a professional attire speaking in the TV. “Further news and information will be disclosed later this afternoon”.

All the people in that particular car in that train were by no means talking while the news was being broadcast about Metro-police. All conversations were stopped, everyone was staring at the TV screens, as if it was the most important thing they care about, as if what the news was discussing was one of the most dangerously important topic of all. So, after the news, the silenced still remained for a couple of seconds, the silenced was profound as if it was deadly, that is until someone finally open his mouth and said something, then everyone as if to catch their breath, starts looking at each other, and starts interacting again with each other in a typical “people in the train conversations” that you might see if you ever taken the train.

“Wow, can’t believe this happened? I wonder what caused all this destruction in Metro-police” wondered aloud a young man that looks like a university student.

“Don’t think too much about, you might realize that it was some kind of criminal organization and that you were worrying too much” said a much older man that looks to be in his fifties and that he wasn’t the type to be surprised very much.

“Oh, yeah, a criminal organization caused all this destruction, is there even an organization that could destroy all those buildings in a flash, and what about that blurred object that appear every time those buildings are being destroy, and the blurred object kind of looked like a human being, don’t you think” said a woman very fast with average looks and blue eyes.

“No, I don’t know what that was about, but are you really going to believe what some teenager sent to news stations about a flying human destroying buildings? Are you even making sense” said the same older man from before.

“But what could it have been” said the student.

“I say, we stopped talking about it and just forget about it, too much worrying will do no good” said the older man.

The conversations then shift from worrying about metro-police to what song and music band and other interesting things are being discussed or are popular. Then unexpectedly, a loud bang sound is heard in this train. The loud sound seems to have come from one of the cars all the way in the front, but it was so loud that everyone in this particular car thought it was theirs that made the bang sound and started to panic.

Everyone looked at the window, and waited for the conductor to say something, but no voice ever came, but the train did stop moving. After a few seconds of maddening silence, screams all over the train can be heard. Blood and body parts seems to be flying all around the car next to the people that were discussing about Metro-Police.

Then with a rather large bang and this time a crack sound, the car doors are open with brute force, and pieces of the door are broken and fall to pieces. A brute hairy man, no, something that resemble a human with two arms and legs, but hairy with fur all around his body, and yelling that werewolf sound that a wolf makes in the night, then, with full speed, starts devouring those humans, and body parts starts to fly around once more.

“no, no, please don’t, please…” said the old man that was previously talking, as tears starts to fall down his cheeks.

The student that was talking before, did not even have time to even say a word, his brain seeing such a monstrosity, only had time to peed himself before having his head ripped apart by the hands of the werewolf. The woman was no difference, before she could even move to run, she was grabbed and devoured. Everyone in the cart died.

Three years later:

It has been three years since the announcement of Metro-police, since the New York Train incident. The world during that time have completely changed. The world is no longer the same. It no longer followed the same social biological order it once used to. Humans during those three years have come to the realization that they are not the most powerful creatures in the world, they are not the hunters but the hunted.

A study since the early 1900's by a scientific organization called LEOVA came to realized that there was a slight mutation, a variation if you will, in the genes of some humans in the population, that sooner or later would lead to a new form of evolution, humanities next evolution. One would think, that if the next evolution is being research that it would be in every news report in the world, well, that is not the case. The government, before LEOVA could tell the world, confiscated all such documents and gather the scientist to not disclosed it to the world, that the world could take it in a bad way, and that the government promise to fund their research and all they have to do is do more research and the government promise that they would reveal it to humanity at a later time, when the time was good, as the government called it.

But that never happened. It is the year 2201, that year, the year that the New York Train Incident began and spread throughout the world in a matter of months, that year where so many people all over the world died, that particular year, changed everything about the world. Humans realized have truly weak they can be. We, humans have thought all this time that, it was with knowledge we defeated our ancestors, the previous generation of humans, which is partly correct, but this new evolution isn’t just intelligence it grants, it allows individuals strength that exceeds humans, speed that is so fast, it is nothing but blur, and increased intelligence, and an ability to transform into werewolf.

That same year, humans learned that nature itself was against them. The temperature dropped completely to negative 20 Celsius and stayed that way for a year, then changed again to an all-time high of 185 degrees Celsius. And now for the third year, it is cold once again, it is frozen everywhere. Humans had no chance against their natural enemy, their planet themselves. The surviving humans out of the 14 billion that existed, there is only 5 million left. Humans had no chance but to cower in fear and hide underground. Only underground could they have survived such harsh weather. The werewolves are all on the surface, walking around devouring any humans that dare come to the surfaced.

The werewolves are able to use their thick skin and fur to survive in such harsh weather, and during the year of (heat), the year when it is super- hot, the werewolves transform back to regular humans and still persist on walking around on the surfaced especially at night. We call the year when it is super-hot, the year of heat, since the planet seems to be going in a cycle according to the few researchers left.

Humans also came to the knowledge that there was another group, that existed alongside them, in fact, those very tunnels and underground compartments and buildings found underground that “the government stated they created” were all actually the vampires’. The vampires that humans came to learn existed since long ago, many millenniums, they existed somewhere slightly before the Roman Empire collapsed, a couple of centuries before the Byzantine part of the Roman empire collapse, the Vampires came to existence, and they were in hiding from humans. They were hiding underground for many times, since for some unknown reasons, during the Roman Empire, humans were far stronger than the vampires and vampires were very pale and drink blood, therefore, the Romans persecuted them until they finally ran underground and lived there ever-since. It wasn’t until the Romans collapsed and a new era began, that vampires started to go on the surface, and the population of people began to increase.

It is only when the new era began that vampires realized humans have changed, that vampires for some reason, became much more powerful than humans, and vampires being cautious as they are, did some experiment by plunging the world into a bloody war for blood, for the blood consumed by the vampires were never enough, and that is when they realized, human’s DNA have changed, they were much weaker, and that the environment have also changed. Nature (this planet) itself have undergone a major change, making the environment to change humans slowly but surely, making us, humans, weaker, slower than our Roman ancestors.

When Vampires realized this, they did research to find another way to survived instead of always kidnapping children and drinking their blood, which they did many times since they went underground to survive. Vampires finally discovered that as long as they performed a sort of ancient ritual that the ancient Greeks wrote, they could survive a decade without drinking blood, and that only a small amount of blood was needed to do the ritual, a small blood packet should be enough for each vampire for a whole decade. And since they weren’t that many vampires in the first place, only three hundred thousand, the government of powerful nations have been supplying them with blood, for knowledge and understanding of culture, history, and some rituals that the vampires called magic rituals. Humans became aware they were more unknown things, than even them, were aware, and that’s when the panics truly began.

When humans panic that is never a good sign, especially when millions of people are panicking. It is one of the cruelest things to watch. Panic can sometimes lead many to suicide, which is exactly what happened. It wasn’t the werewolves that caused the real damage and yes, the werewolves caused damages, but it was the humans themselves that got themselves into this mess. When the werewolves showed up at complete random and started wreaking havoc across towns, states, and even countries, the world powers relied upon missiles trying to destroy those nasty creatures, to show them who have true power, but the werewolves merely leap in the air, grabbed the missiles and using their super strength, threw it right where it came from. That was truly catastrophic, before the order came to stop sending those missiles, the damage was already done. No one could say any excuses.

The government then, as their only options, asked the vampires for help, and the vampires finding this interesting but also being cautious decided to help capture some of those werewolves, but the consequences were dire. The werewolves, as the vampires found out fast enough, were their natural enemy. One clawed-like strike that leave a mark on a vampire by the long nails of werewolves causes high-temperature fever and hallucination, and always end with the vampires’ death. It was a sure-way to death. The vampires as quickly as they discover this, issues direct order to all vampires that they need to come and remained underground right now, most immediately and those very orders even came directly from their King, King Ulkeryvitch, but it was too late, before the vampires on the surface realized what was happening, tons of thousands of them have been killed, devoured, exterminated by the werewolves.

The vampires’ current population is but 30 thousand. It went from three hundred thousand to a mere thirty thousand, in just a couple of months, the couple of time it took for the vampires on the surface to reach their respective underground gate section, well-hidden from the prying eyes, but alas, vampires loved the surface so much that hundreds of thousands of them were on the surface, most were trying to live their life out, enjoying the fresh air and most of them were far from their respective gate section, while the others wanted to stay and fight the werewolves, with the days before the gate closing and vampires fighting the werewolves, and humans dying, vampires on the surface have all by now come to an end, except for a select few that still persist to live even after all they have encountered.

If this was the worst of it all, then it would have been a rather nice ending for humans and vampires leaving in harmony underground, but this was not the end. Nature (planet) still had big plans for the world, even with the creation of its henchmen, the werewolves (having no control over themselves at all, merely acting based solely on their biological instincts), that was still not enough for nature, nature still needed one last thing, something that could give those werewolves orders, tell them what to do, guide them, something that would be a personification of nature itself, something that would be nature’s full power, with its wisdom and knowledge, something that would be its symbol. Ghosts.
