《Aang's Guide》The Truth: Sokka

I was sound asleep dreaming great dreams when abruptly Toph earth bends me up in the sky. I yelled and hit the ground, "Toph!!!!!!" She giggled, "Wake up pony boy.. Aang isn't here and neither is Katara.." I looked around and saw she was right. "Where the heck could they be?" I slithered out of my sleeping bag and went over to the fire. Toph stood next to me, "Well are you gonna look for them?" I kneeled down and blew on the remaining fire. It blew up and almost scorched my face, "Ahh!" I yelled. I leaned back and watched the fire go. "We will look for them in a few minutes we need to get water and keep the fire going." She groaned and earth bended a seat for her self. I looked at her foggy crystal eyes, they were so beautiful. I went around her going to the fountain. I dipped my hand into the water and drank slowly. "Sokka, we really should be looking for them." I looked behind me and saw her sitting inside the chair still, "Why don't you look for them?" She turned and looked at me, "Because I'm blind, remember!" I sighed, "Fine, let's go." I went to her and grabbed her hand. I saw her blush which made me smile. Before we even had the chance to look Zuko came out of the entrance to the rooms. "We are waiting for you guy." I gave him a glare, "Why are you waiting on us for?" He turned and waved, walking back were he came. "You'll see.." I groaned and led Toph to the rooms.
When we got there Katara was pacing outside the door. "Katara what's wrong?" I said as I let go of Toph's hand. "The masked stranger, she-" Zuko threw up his hands "Katara!" He growls. He sighed and looked at us, "You guys just need to listen to her story.. Aang is already in there." Zuko interjected. I had never seen Katara so white in the face. I nodded to Zuko and grabbed Toph's hand. As we entered into the small room I saw Aang on the edge of the bed looking at us. "Hey guys." he mumbles. I guide Toph in and shut the door. "What's wrong twinkle toes?" Toph says as she picks her nose. "Uh-" The masked stranger leans up, "I have a story to tell you.." I lean on one foot, "Alright we are listening." She nods and continues. As me and Toph stand there we listen to this stranger's life. What catches me off guard is her name, "Wait your name is Kyra? I thought you were born an Air nomad?" She sighs, "Yes, I was. But most of my childhood was living in the Northern Water Tribe and that is what I call home." I smiled thinking of home, "Ok... continue." She continues to tell us of her life as a frozen ice cube, so she could preserve her young age to protect Aang. Which of course made sense... Then she got to the part where she got her powers and that's when me and Toph's face went white. "The reason I can bend the other elements is because when Aang was born he was not alone. Aang is a twin, and the spirit Ravaa that chose us both didn't know which one to choose. So she put a small self in me and the rest of herself in Aang." I felt my face go white, "So your Aang's twin?" Toph goes over to the bed and grabs her mask and gently takes it off. "There is no reason to keep hiding your identity." Aang's twin was beautiful, I thought. She let tears form and whispers, "Thank you Toph." Aang gets up and walks out of the room. "Toph let's give Kyra some space." Toph smiles and walks out of the room I follow her. As I shut the door I hear Kyra ball her eyes out.

As I continue to shut the door, I turn to see everyone is outside. "Well Sokka do you believe her?" Katara says still white as a penguin's belly. I looked around at everybody, they all seemed gloomy. Toph coughs, "I do.. I don't know why but I just have this feeling...." I look over at Aang the small boy looks to weak and sad, "Katara, I really don't know.. She seems pretty honest." Katara scoffs, "What about you Zuko?" He looks at her, "I believe her, when she was awakened the time before this she was a mentor to me." I look behind me and remember her balling her eyes out. She knew we would be talking about her. "I believe her.." a small voice whispers. I look back and see Aang holding something, "What do you got Aang?" He looks up to me, "Kyra was wearing my mother's necklace... She gave it to me.." That there told me to believe her, "I believe her..." Katara looked at me stunned, "But.... fine I guess I have to believe her to.." I smiled at her and put my arm around her. "Alright, the truth is out. Kyra is Aang's twin sister and guide." I walk with Katara back to the fountain so she could cool off. Aang follows putting on the necklace, and Zuko follows grumpily.

NEWDIE STEADSLAW Part I
NEWDIE STEADSLAW is a randomized array of Chekhov's red herrings, non sequitors ex machina, run-on sentences, and em dashes—so many em dashes. It's like if the Bible and Shakespeare had a baby that they surrendered to foster care, then it got adopted by Alice in Wonderland and Dr. Seuss—the books, not the people—and then the baby fell down the stairs. In this metaphor, the stairs wrote the story. Part I is the tale of the adventures of Traycup and Roby as they try to hold down a job inside the hollow Earth—a place made possible thanks to the secret science of embargoed relativity—and they get distracted by dancing foxes, a giant's record collection, and something with a train, I think. It's a work of fiction—although to call it work seems insulting to, y'know, actual work—but the fiction label is apt, so, y'know, that's a win. Half the words are made up, and the other half are embarrassed to be seen with them. Part I is complete.

A Wheel Inside a Wheel
Two brilliant young me, Reinhard von Musel and Yang Wen-li, are forced to flee the countries of their birth and become refugees on opposite sides of a century long galactic war. While they both struggle to adapt to their new lives, their obvious talent propels them to the forefront of the war. Their choices will shape their adoptive homelands forever, and their clash will decide the future of the galaxy. This story is broken up into volumes, each following one half of the conflict. You can read them in chronological order, or you can follow just Yang or Reinhard. See individual descriptions below. Part One - Speaking in Tongues When Yang Wen-li’s father dies, the only thing that he inherits is a mountain of debt, which can only be paid off with fifteen years of his life. Wanting to escape that indentured servitude, Yang flees his homeland and takes up a false identity in the Galactic Empire, a hyper-stratified society where stepping out of line is punishable with imprisonment or death. Yang enrolls in the Imperial Officers’ Academy to study history, but despite his unusual and unmistakeable talent as both a tactician and a scholar, his classmates resent him for being a visible outsider. When tensions at the school boil over and several of Yang’s classmates attempt to murder him, Yang finds an unlikely ally in the top student in the class: the aloof Oskar von Reuenthal. But Reuenthal and Yang both have secrets, secrets which could destroy both their lives and their newfound friendship. [70k words, complete] Part One (Alternate) - Talking Without Speaking When Oskar von Reuenthal enrolls at the Imperial Officers' Academy, he doesn’t expect to make real friends. The IOA is a competitive place, and Reuenthal has never been well liked. But when a foreign student shows up to challenge him for the top spot in the class, Reuenthal can’t look away. [77k words, complete] Part Two - Life out of Balance When Reinhard von Musel's mother learns that her husband is about to sell her daughter to become the concubine of the Kaiser, she takes her two children, Reinhard and Annerose, and flees to the Free Planets Alliance, where the three of them must start a new life. [129k words, complete] Part Three - Servants of the Pharaoh Now an officer in His Majesty's fleet, Yang Wen-li struggles to maintain his principles in the face of everything that is expected of him. When he's unwillingly drawn into the politics of the court, he has to use all of his talents to keep himself and his new friends out of danger. [173k words, complete] Short - Whatever It Takes to Keep the Body Warm After their falling out, Reuenthal and Mittermeyer are both posted to the brutal wasteland of Capche-Lanka. It's difficult to hold a grudge when you're just trying to survive. [23k words, complete] Short - Keep the Home Fires (Burning) Three soldiers. Two bodies to be buried. One haunted house. [33k words, complete] Part Four - Lighting Out for the Territories While his sister has joined the fierce Rosen Ritter regiment, Reinhard's fame has earned him a post stuck on Phezzan. Separated from everyone he cares about, Reinhard is forced to make some unexpected allies, and make connections with old friends. [147k words, complete] Part Five - Serpent's Mouth, Serpent's Teeth After having sacrificed his freedom to save his best friend's life, Yang must figure out how to win, and not just survive, the largest civil war in human history.
