《Saving Wisdom and Wizards || PJO x HP Crossover》Chapter 6: Lord Noseless

With more than half of the order gone, Percy took a seat opposite Harry at the table. Percy didn't realize how small the table was until everyone left, and then questioned how it even fit the wizards in the first place.

The Weasleys plus Harry and Hermione were all seated at the table, staring at Percy. Percy was busy swirling around the tea in his cup.

Noticing the eyes up on him, Percy looked up and remembered that they were supposed to have a conversation. He also realized that he was getting comfortable and that was not okay. Percy settled into his distant, interrogation voice.

"So, what's there to discuss?" It was at that point Harry's mouth parted a bit, but Percy cut him off. "Like," Percy continued, "Dumbledore gave me a mediocre run down of what's happening and stuff. I go to a wizard school, learn spells or whatever, defeat the bad guy, then go home. Is that all, or did Mr. Headmaster forget something?"

If Harry's eyes could go any wider they'd fall out of his head. His face then formed a scowl and Harry coldly responded, "His name is Albus Dumbledore and he is the bravest man I know."

Percy looked back at Harry, disbelief evident in his face. Percy waved his hand, disregarding Harry's statement. "Yeah sure whatever." Harry scowled more. "Point is, is there anything I should be prepared for? I'm not a fan of surprises."

Thankfully, before Harry could interrupt again, Hermione responded. "Well, yes. There is the issue that you know nothing about the history of Hogwarts and wizardry; and not to mention, you don't have any school supplies- not even a wand! You'll also need to know the spells and potions- education basically- of a seventh year (students in their seventh year at Hogwarts) and you're older than seventeen...?" Percy nodded. "Good. Well that settles it."

"Um, 'Mione, what exactly's been settled?" Ron asked. Percy hummed in agreement.

"You, me, and Harry are going to take Percy to Diagon Alley to get his supplies for Hogwarts."

"No. There is no way that I'm going anywhere with him."

"Come on, Harry, don't be so dense. At the very least he needs a wand." Hermione said.

"What's Diagon Alley?" Percy questioned.

"See! He knows nothing! Don't worry, Percy. You'll be caught up on everything before school starts. I'll tutor you so you have the proper knowledge of a seventh year."

Ron looked towards Percy. "'Mione is the smartest witch in school, probably the whole world."

Percy smiled. "Okay, thanks. Sounds like a plan."

"Great, then it's settled. Tomorrow we'll go to Diagon Alley."

Before Hermione could say more, Mrs. Weasley asked Harry and Ron to show Percy where he was supposed to be sleeping for the next week or so until they went to Hogwarts. This request received lots of protests from Harry. Molly looked pointedly at Ron until he told Percy to follow him.

"Hermione, dear, why don't you follow to make sure things go alright." Hermione nodded and went to follow them through the halls and up the stairs.

"...where you'll be staying." Hermione heard Ron say, as she passed Harry sulking in the doorway to the spare room.

"Cool. Thanks, Ron." Said Percy.

"No problem mate."

"He's not our mate, Ron." Ron looked between Harry and Percy deciding the best way to reply.

Ron didn't think Percy was that bad of a guy. Sure, he's only known him for an hour or so, but they've got to give him the benefit of the doubt, right?

"Right, well, um. Dinner should be ready in a few hours so you can get settled in and stuff." Ron's eyes kept shifting between Harry and Percy.

"Percy, where are your bags?" Hermione asked.

"My what? Oh! My bags. I think I left them back home when Dumbledore brought me to London."

Hermione stared back. "You forgot them?"

"No! They were right next to me, but Albus grabbed my hand without warning and just traveled me here."

"He apparated you." Hermione informed. "Do you have any of your stuff with you?"

"Yeah. I've got my backpack, but I guess that's it."

"That's fine. We'll just get you clothes at Diagon Alley." Ron answered.

"I don't have any money."

"Shocking." Harry mumbled. Hermione and Ron ignored him.

"Do you have stuff for the night? If not, I can ask Fred and George to lend you something."

"Fred and George?"

"My older brothers."

"Oh okay. No, that's fine, I'll be alright for tonight. Thanks."

"We'll see you down for dinner, Percy." Hermione said. "C'mon, Harry." Hermione grabbed Harry's hand, pulling him from the doorway as they all left.

Percy flopped onto the bed on his back, rubbing his hands over his face. He thought that he'd never be alone. Gods, he so badly wanted to be back in New York searching for Annabeth, not gearing up to fight in another war.

He supposed that he should probably IM Chiron, letting him know that he hasn't been blasted yet, or attacked by monsters. Come to think of it, could monsters even detect his scent from London? Percy assumed they could. After all, they've found him in farther places.

Percy shook his head, clearing the oncoming memories. The last thing he needed was to remember the second giant war.

If only he could call his mom. Gods, he missed her and Paul. She would tell him to be strong and help the wizards. They needed his help. Everyone always needs his help. It's always up to him to save the world. Why can't it be someone else's problem? It wasn't fair.

Then again, Percy learned a long time ago that life wasn't fair.

Percy sighed. At least a few hours until dinner. Maybe he could get some well neglected sleep. Maybe his demigod dreams won't be as bad.

He was wrong.

~~~
Percy found himself in a dark room. There was a large table in the center with cloaked people surrounding it. Percy guessed they were all wizards.
"We must find the boy."
Percy looked at the pale, blond haired man. What boy?
"He could be anywhere." A nasally voiced man replied. Percy quietly walked out of his spot in the room to get a better look at the man.
"Then find him! I don't want excuses Severus. I want my grandson found and brought to me." Percy stopped. Grandson?
Percy looked at the man at the front of the table. Or if he could even call him that. He had no nose, and was so pale, Percy thought that he hadn't been brought to Hades.
"But, M'lord, we don't know-"
"Silence!" Lord Noseless stood up. "There is an unwanted presence." Percy froze. He couldn't see him, right?
The cloaked figures became silent. Probably as to not anger the pale thing.
"He is here." Lord Noseless looked directly as him, causing Percy's breath to hitch. That wasn't possible.
"M'lord?" The nasal voice questioned.
Lord Noseless smiled. Percy needless to say, was creeped out by that "smile".
"Severus. Bring him to me."
~~~

Percy awoke with a start. He closed his eyes, as he tried to calm his breathing.

Severus. Who was that? Whoever it was, there was no way that Percy was going near him.

Lord Noseless. That must've been his grandfather. Lord Voldemort. Percy shivered. How was he possibly related to him? No wonder Harry seemed apprehensive around him. He probably thought that Percy would resemble Lord Noseless.

Knock knock knock. Percy jumped.

"Percy! Dinner is ready!" Hermione yelled.

"Thanks, I'll be down in a minute!" Percy called back. Rubbing his eyes, Percy got out of bed. Had it already been a few hours? He never IM'd Chiron.

Walking to the door, Percy decided to do it after dinner. After all, there was bound to be some fun, tension filled conversations during dinner. He chuckled.

Percy opened the door and headed down the hall, and down the stairs. As he reached the bottom of the steps two masses ran into him. Percy tensed and gripped Riptide in his front pocket.

"Sorry mate!" The masses called.

Percy relaxed. "Uh, it's no problem."

They turned around, and Percy saw two identical red haired guys. Percy assumed these guys were Ron's brothers: Fred and George.

"You must be-"

"-Percy." The other one finished.

"And you must be Fred and George." Percy replied.

They smirked. "I'm Fred."

"And I'm George." Percy looked between them, familiar enough with the Stoll's attempts at switching names.

"No. You're George," Percy pointed at 'Fred'. "And you're Fred."

"How did you...?"

"I'm a counselor back at my summer camp in New York, and these two kids try the same thing you guys did." Percy smiled.

"Huh, grandson of You- Know- Who is in charge of kids at a summer camp. Shocking isn't it George?" Fred joked.

"Why, yes, Fred it is." George smiled at Percy.

"You've met Harry?" Percy nodded.

"Yeah. Tonight's gonna be fun, Fred. Come on then, Percy. The food'll be gone by the time we get there."

Fred and George led Percy into the kitchen where everyone was already sitting down with their plates full of food.

~~~
After dodging questions, and half answering the ones he couldn't avoid, Percy was exhausted. Dinner went better than he thought it would, what with Harry ignoring his existence, and Ron only asking him about American Muggle food.
Percy also found out that Ron had a younger sister named Ginny. She stared at him, which caused Harry to glower more.
Percy walked into his room and closed the door. He figured he put off Iris Messaging Chiron long enough. Creating a mist with the water from his cup, he fingered a drachma.
"Oh, Fleecy do me a solid, show me Chiron at Camp Half Blood." Percy threw the drachma in.
Soon enough, Chiron's face appeared in the mist.
"Ah, Percy. Is everything alright?" Chiron asked.
"Yeah, everything's fine. Well," Percy hesitated, "Except for the fact that Harry Potter hates me, I hate his only mentor Albus, and I'm causing problems between Harry and his friends."
Chiron stared at Percy. Percy stared back.
"Problems how?"
"His friends, Hermione and Ron trust me. Well I guess as much as they can. Harry hates my guts. Problems."
"I have no doubt in my mind, Percy, that you will be able to sort that out in time. Also," Chiron held up Percy's bags, "Are you aware you left your bags?"
Percy scowled. "That was Dumbledumb's fault!"
"Mhm. I have to go, Percy. Try to emphasize with the wizards (this is their first war), and please try to be careful."
"Chiron you know I can't promise that second part."
"But you can try."
Percy sighed for the thousandth time that day. "Okay."
"Goodbye Percy."
"Bye." Chiron disconnected the IM.
Percy laid down on the bed, and prayed to the Gods that he would have a dreamless sleep.
