《Rosa Perri Gilbert》Chapter 13

Perri's P.O.V.
When I woke up I noticed I had 14 missed calls from Jeremy alone, plus 36 text messages. And about 40 other missed calls from the Mikaelson's and others at Mystic Falls. I decided to text the Mikaelson family all the same thing, saying I went back to school and want to be alone.
Getting up I went to my bag and put on tights and my leotard. I threw on an over sized shirt and sweatpants and headed to the kitchen. Walking in I was greeted by Tash making breakfast. Something I have never seen before. Natasha has never been one for cooking.
Breakfast was pretty quiet, the only discussion going on was about the Prix. Which as actually a huge conversation. There were rumors floating around that the Prix De Fonteyn was going to be held in Sydney. That would be so cool! Uncle Sebastian then said he was going to the academy today.
"Actually can I catch a ride with you to the Academy?" I asked him, "I was planning on going the studio today."
"Of course sweetheart, are you ready now?" He asked staining up.
"I just gotta brush my teeth then I'll be ready," I said running up the stairs to the bathroom.
*Skip Car Ride*
"Okay I am going see Ms. Raine, you'll be fine here for a whole yes?" Uncle Sebastian asked as we got out of the car.
"Yes," I said happily, wanting to just get to the studio and get my mind off of everything.
I hugged Uncle Seb then dashed to the studio. I put my things down and went to the bar for a quick warm up.
After about 10 minutes I stopped and plugged my phone into the stereo.
"Well that was a pretty angry piece," I turned to see Uncle Sebastian leaning against the doorway.
"Yeah," was all I said , trying to catch my breath.
"Perri do you mind if I talk to you for a minute?" I nodded as a grabbed my water bottle and sat on the floor, "What happened in Mystic Falls?"
I sighed, why'd he have to ask that question?
"It's hard to explain everything," I said not really knowing what to say, "and I can't really tell you."
Uncle Seb sat I front of me, "Why not Rose?" he asked looking at me.
"It's, well, I just can't! Even if I did you'd think I was crazy!" I yelled in frustration.

"Does that necklace have something to do with it?" he asked.
I looked at him, surprised and confused, "Well kind of I guess, but-"
"So then you know," he cut me off, "You know what its for don't you?"
"...yes," I answered still a little confused, " so you know?"
"About the supernatural? Yes," he said.
"But how?"
"Your father and I were both aware of the supernatural, hunting vampires was passed thorough families," he said, "I know Mystic Falls was a hotspot for them so when you came back with that necklace I had my suspicions."
"Theres a whole lot more than just vampires Uncle Sebastian," I said, his eyebrows furrowed, " theres also witches, werewolves, hybrids, Originals, and doppelgängers."
"I knew about the witches and werewolves, but everything else? What is a hybrid, or an Original?" he asked.
I took a deep breath, "The Originals were the first vampires, The Mikaelson's. One of them who was born with the werewolf gene, so he became the Original Hybrid," I explained best I could, "And he makes other hybrids with the Petrova doppelgängers blood. Who happens to be Elena."
"Jesus Christ," he muttered, "How do you know so much about this?"
*After FULL explanation*
"And theres one more thing," I said slowly, "theres this prophecy type person, an Elemental. Its someone who can control all four elements and other 18th birthday, they reach maturity and become immortal," I whispered the last part.
"Why are you telling me this Perri?" Uncle Sebastian asked, his eyes widening. I just looked at him, tears forming in my eyes, "Oh love, come here," he said softly. I flung myself into his arms, letting the tears roll down my face.
"I don't want this," I sobbed into his chest, "I just want to be normal. I just want to dance."
"I know love, I know," he said rubbing my back.
After telling Uncle Sebastian everything, we headed back to the house. Pulling up to the driveway I noticed another car out front, "Uncle Seb who's that?"
"I'm not sure," he said glancing at the car. We walked into the house and to the den.
I stopped waking when I saw who the quests were.
"Oh darlings, you're home," Aunt Tash said, "This is Elijah, Klaus and Kol Mikaelson. They're friends with Perri." Uncle Sebastian became tense when he heard the name Mikaelson.

"Matashed was just telling us about the Academy," Klaus said, "And you must be Sebastian." Nik held his hand out to Uncle Sebastian who slowly shook the hybrids hand.
"May I ask what you're doing in Sydney?" Uncle Seb asked glaring at them.
"We wanted to make sure Perri was alright," Kol said looking at me, I turned my head away from them.
What the hell?! I specifically told them I wanted to be alone.
"Well I'm fine as you can see, guess you can leave now," I said still not looking at the three.
"Oh Perri don't be silly, I've already invited them for dinner," Nat said.
"Yay," I said unenthusiastically, "You know what? I just remembered I promised Sammy I would hand out with him, so I'll be missing dinner," I said thinking of a fast excuse.
"Maybe we can come along and meet this... Sammy," Kol said, his eyes were darker shade of brown than usual.
"I dunno, Sammy gets a bit anxious around new people," I lied.
"Rosa your friends flew all the way here, so why don't you just bring them along," Nat said giving me a stern look.
"Pulling out the first name card, nice touch," I mumbled, "Fine lets go, see you two later."
I walked out to the car and got in the passenger seat. They guys quickly go in after me.
"So where to love?" Nik asked turning the car on.
"Just go straight, I'll tell you when to turn," I said looking out the window.
"Why the hostility?" Kol joked from the seat behind me.
"You know exactly why," I whispered, knowing full well they all heard me.
After me giving Nik directions for a bit, we reached the Academy. As soon as the car stopped I got out and walked toward the little beach where Kat, Sammy, Tara and I would go. I sat down at the edge of the brick wall and just looked out to the water.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked knowing they were behind me.
"Your birthday is coming up Perri, your powers will start to show themselves," Elijah said, "You could be in danger."
I scoffed, "The only danger here in Sydney is the Academy gossip and being stuck in the middle of it."
"Perri this is serious," Nik said, "you can't fight with is going to happen."
"Who said I was fighting?"
"You ran away from home Perri," Kol said.
"Mystic Falls is NOT my home. At least it hasn't been since Mom and Dad died," I said quietly, "Sydney, the Academy is my home. It's the only place I've ever felt I really belong. I ran back to it. And I never asked to be the 'Immortal Elemental.' I don't want this, but I'm stuck with it. I get that, okay I do. But for now I jut wanna pretend life is normal. There's a lot going on this year, and I really need to focus on dance."
"Perri we understand that you're feeling over whelmed with everything," Kol said softly.
"Overwhelmed? No I get overwhelmed when final exams come around. I mean who thought it would be smart to have both dance and academic exams the same time?" I laughed sarcastically, "But with this? I'm feeling completely terrified and no one knows what I'm going through. And don't give me the 'vampire card.' You don't understand at all."
"Then help us to," Elijah said, "and you don't need to be afraid Perri, I mean you have to Originals at your beck and call."
I smiled looking down, "It's weird. Sometimes I can feel...things. I'm not sure how to explain it correctly, but there are these moments when I can almost see, like magic, I guess you'd call it. Like little magic particles in the air But just for a scorn then everything goes back to normal," I said doing my best to describe it.
Before any of the boys could say something my phone went off.
Me: Hey Sammy what's up?
S: Miss Perri. Kat tells me you're in Sydney? I just got off work, I'd ask if you're hungry but why bother-he laughed.
Me: Ha ha ha! Meet me the Academy cafe?
S: Already on my way, see you there. Then we can discuss why cam home so early.
I said goodbye and hung up the phone. Turning to the three brothers I had a real smile on my face, "Well I'm going to see my best friend, you guy scan do whatever, just don't follow me."
"Perri we still have a lot to discuss," Nik add speeding in front of me.
"Then we'll talk later," I said dismissing him and continued towards to cafe. God I can't wait to see Sammy, he always makes me feel better! Plus I'm starving.

How the Stars Turned Red
Announcement as of 05 July 2022: I've been diagnosed with some pretty severe nerve damage in my left arm, rendering me unable to write effectively, and as such this story is on hold until it is healed. I am so sorry, and I promise to get back to writing as soon as possible. In the latter half of the 3rd millennium CE, humanity has spread across the stars, inhabiting close to five-hundred worlds across the Orion Arm. Earth has become irrelevant, a historical has-been. The galactic map is dominated by two mega-factions, both controlling vast amounts of territories either through direct control or through their many allies and treaty signatories. The Kingdom of Aurora is the political and economic hegemon despite consisting of only seven inhabited worlds; their strength lies in the Royal Union, an interstellar commonwealth composing an internal market and a common defence pact. These member worlds are myriad and varied, culturally as well as politically, but they all flock to the same banner. The Independent Systems Alliance, spearheaded by the Republic of Elysium, is the ascendant challenger to Aurora and the Union. A pseudo-federal multi-system polity, the Alliance economy and military is rapidly expanding, but at the cost of effective democratic and meritocratic involvement by its people. However, with two superpowers as this, chafing along a common border, and with a constant clamour of polemics, both sides have become convinced the other is constantly preparing for war and are on the look-out for any perceived weakness in their opponent. The predictable result is a huge arms race and a cold war spreading across the stars, requiring only a spark to set the galaxy aflame. Drawn into this game of high stakes are ordinary men and women, their peaceful lives, hopes, and aspirations swallowed by the vortex of conflict and distrust. This is their story. Cover art by Rhodex Designs (FB). Hope you like long chapters and adjectives. Note: English is not my first language. Another story set in the same universe, written by a good friend
