《Mages and Wizards》29. Secrets revealed

"Tell us what?" Draco asked, scrunching up his nose. "Our secret," Laxus simply replied. You could clearly see the look of dissatisfaction all over his face. Even so, he didn't press the matter after seeing how serious they were.
"Maybe they're going to tell us that they're death eaters." Hermione whispered to Ron and Harry. "Doubt it," Ron said back, "if they were, why Would Voldemort attack them." Harry only silently agreed. By now, they knew that the dragon slayers; Natsu, Wendy, gajeel and Laxus could hear them even if they whispered.
"Well, for starters, we are Fairy Tail." Gajeel started. "Yes, we knew that already, fairy tail: school for the gifted." Fleur said. "Yes, but we're not from a school, we're from a guild —" he was cut off by natsu igniting his fists and screaming, "the number one guild in Fiore!" Erza hit him on him head and he immediately piped down.
"You see, we aren't from this world. We are from a world called 'Earthland'. And, we're not called 'wizards', we're called, 'mages', and almost very one in the kingdom uses magic — we also don't have to use wands. Our magic is consumed and stored within ourselves and it automatically replenishes itself." Erza explained.
Looks of pure shock were written all over the students' faces. "That's how you're able to use magic without saying any spells or anything like that." Hermione realized. They simply nodded.
They then explained everything about how they got there, why they were there and small, brief explanations of their magic. "Cool," Harry breathed out, voicing what everybody thought.
"Well, we need you help in defeating zeref —" someone cut mira off, "he's the black wizard right?" Mira nodded. "And we are going to train you. Throughout this next week, we are going to put as much as what we've faced in life into training you." She had a cheerful smile on her face, even though, one could clearly see that there was something sadistic behind that smile.

The others gulped and nodded, shakily.

The next day, none of the students were looking forward to what they were about to do. "Alright, since there are at least one of us in each house, we will be training you by house. The Ravenclaw's are with Levy and Cana, the Gryffindor's are with Gildarts, Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Romeo and Wendy, the Hufflepuff's are going to be with Gray and Juvia, and, finally, the Slytherin's are going to be with, Laxus, Gajeel ad me!" Her cheerful smile was gone and the demon had awoken.
They separated into their houses and began training.
With the Gryffindor's, Erza was having them run laps around the entire school, fifty times before they got a five minute break, then another fifty laps. To them, it was pure hell, to Erza however, this wasn't even close to her normal exercise regiment. You know, with all that fighting and battles they keep getting into.
Lucy was having her spirits train the students, while she sat and meditated, trying to enlarge her magic container even more. She had summoned Loke, Aquarius, Aries and Virgo. Loke was doing magic-to-hand combat with them, he was using magic to attack while the others weren't allowed to use any sort of magic to repel it. Aquarius was strengthening their magic resistant — which really was just her attacking them with magic.
Aries was helping them with their defensive magic; she would use her wool that would do little damage if they actually hit, but their goal was to evade/repulse the attack. Finally, with Virgo, they would mostly be taking a break. She would help them relax (since sh is a maid) for the time she was with them, you know, to give them a break from all their rigorous training.
With Natsu, he was doing hand-to-hand combat with all of them. He would attack them and they would try — but fail — to block/dodge his attacks. We wouldn't let up no matter how long they did it for. Wendy just taught them how to heal wounds and basic medicinal herbs — with the help of Romeo. Gildarts was just plain fighting them; they could use whatever magic they wanted to and use any means they wanted to attempt to defeat him. Van though they all failed miserably.

With the Hufflepuff's, Gray and Juvia were showing them their unison raid and having them try to combine magic wth each other — to try and strengthen it. With the Slytherin's, Mira and Laxus were trying to teach them different attack strategies. Gajeel, on the other hand, was, just like Natsu, fighting them. Their two brain cells (that they shared) couldn't think of anything else to do other than fight.
Finally, with the Ravenclaw's, they wee mostly focusing on tactics. Levy was teaching them different offensive tactics they could use against different enemies, no matter who they were. Cana was teaching the opposite, instead of offensive, she was teaching them defensive tactics. Eventually, they would switch and teach the others' the opposite. Eventually, they would have them play it out against each other so that they could see how it would be effective in actual battles.
After about a month of this same training (with them changing houses every week) the mages of fairy tail finally believed that they were ready to be able to hold their own against Voldemort and Zeref. The mages also trained on their own much more intense stuff than what they made the students do. All that was left for them to do was to wait for him to attack.
"We're ready, now, we wait." Makarov shot his hand up in the air and pointed one finger up. For those who knew what it meant, they grinned — more than they did all month — and shot their hand up in the air with one finger up.
"Yeah!"

Rebirth of the Thief Who Roamed the World
The world’s largest VRMMO, Conviction, was almost like a second world for humanity. It had integrated itself into the real world’s economy, with both corporations and individuals seeking their fortunes through the game. In this game, Nie Yan prided himself in his Level 180 Thief. He could barely be considered among the top experts in the game. Though, that was the only thing he could take pride in. He was penniless and unable to advance in life; a situation he was forced into by the enemy of his father. If it weren’t for the little money he made by selling off items in Conviction, he would’ve barely been able to eat. In the end, he chose to settle his matters once and for all. He assassinated his father’s enemy. He lay dying shortly after being shot in the pursuit. However, that wasn’t the end of his story. Instead, he awoke moments later to find that he had reincarnated into his past-self. Armed with his experience and knowledge of future events, he sets out to live his life anew.

Born a bit too late to explore the world, yet far too early to explore space, Graham Lattem is your average 61 year old man - if a little wanderlust filled. That being said, he has a happy home, loving wife, children who check up on him, and a decent retirement fund to live out his golden years modestly. Then it happens. [System Initialization Commencing…] A trick of the light, surely. [Planetary Merger Protocol 331 Enabled] Rumbling can be heard in the distance. Shouts. Cries of anguish. A horrible, ear numbing crashing sound. An earthquake. A hole opens in the middle of his home, and our protagonist falls in as a swirling vortex consumes him. Mountains as far as the eye can see greet Graham as he opens his eyes. Well, and more glowing words: [Welcome To The Macrocosm] [Good Luck] Far away from his family in a world hell-bent on his demise, how will this old, arthritis ridden man survive? Did I mention he has cancer? ===================================================================== Aiming for at least 1 chapter every other day, though there is a very big chance it will more oftentimes than not be more than that! This is my first ever story. One that I’ve been wanting to write for awhile. The system is most definitely inspired by Randidly Ghosthound and The New World, but I promise the story is different! Please point out any mistakes, as I’d love to improve! Also the warnings are just to let me experiment.

A young boy with a special key finds himself caught up with an old wizard, an ancient prohpecy, and a possibly conspercy. This sounds like the sort of thing most childern would love to be a part of, but there are just three small problems. The first is that he is not the hero. Someone already got that role. The second is that he isn't a wizard. He is a Magician which complicates things. The third is that there might be a chance that the whole 'problem' might be comming from his end. Personally he never understood (or interacted with) the 'secret' magical world, but that becomes a problem when the magical world apparently has what his role is supposed to be according to their ancient book... and they are not to happy about him not matching their book. Still it shouldn't be to hard right? All he has to do is go to a school, learn some wizard magic, make sure nobody takes his key... also avoid dying. Thankfully he has had a lot of expereince with that last part and a bunch of Twig Twirling childern can't be too dangerious? Right?
8 102The Orb Weaver Chronicles
"The Orb Weaver Chronicles contains several major and unique events that may or may not unknowingly intertwines with one another. The author of these chronicles is unknown, although some have hinted at the symbolism behind its name..." - Year unknown, location unknown 9 February 2022 Update: Welcome to the companion short story compilation of my novel trilogy The Shadow Paradigm. This compilation features prequels, sidequels and sequels to the novel's major plotline, as well as featuring a wide range of characters, new and recurring. Prior knowledge of the novel is not necessary as the Orb Weaver Chronicles' short stories are standalone. Once called The Arkesyyan Chronicles, I've deleted quite a few of its old stories. Due to the new avenue and revision, oriented toward more mystery and film-noir ambience, that I took my stories into, I've removed all aliens and overly sci-fi aspects of the whole TSP lineup, so I've updated the Orb Weaver Chronicles accordingly. I hope you enjoy them, and in time, a revised version will also be updated.

In the time when legends were reality and myths were true, the humans and fairies were at peace. Those whose eyes are clear can see the magic in the air. Those pure of heart can use magic.
