"Glorious Lammas! Have a Glorious Lammas! Get your bread here! I say dear boy... Madam? Monsieur... two? Ahhh... ten pounds! Ten pounds for two kilos of bread and milk! Buy four and get a discount I tell you!!"

"I'm fine, thank you. Just the two. I'm thirsty. Uhh. How much for bigger milk bottles with the food bundle?"

"It's seventy pence extra for a half litre."

"Take eighty pennies, then."

¤

"Thank you."

"Are you good at carrying things? Not too heavy?"

"No siree. I'm working out with 100 kilograms of weights on each side. It is not too heavy. Appreciate the gesture. Good day to you and your delicious food stall!"

"Would you also like 400 teabags for your first purchase? Free -- on the house!"

"Yes please. I tell you brother, this weather..." Fingerless gloves were instantly thrust into the pockets of a black trenchcoat.

"Too much snow for you? Mister..."

"Rivers. Sam Rivers."

"Edward Indigo. It is my highest pleasure to meet your acquaintance!"

A clammy, soot-stained pale hand made contact with brown fingers and both arms shook with steadiness and accuracy.

5 Minutes Later

"So, what brings you to this wonderful city? South London is a great place but Southwark's Tate Modern isnt much to look at. Me, I'm an art enthusiast myself, but... still."

"Funny you should mention that. I'm in town for guitar practice. I am a singer-songwriter. Music is a fine art, one of the best in fact, and..."

"And what? Wh--"

"No! SILENCE boy. I hear something." A clawed finger was raised in the air now. Edward sighed and pressed his tongue against the roof of his mouth, then tilted his head back and to the left. "The right side of myself. There." Edward began to point with his thumb now, bringing the clawed finger on his left hand to his chin and resting his jaw securely on his palm. Edward glanced upwards with a sincere sense of arduous adventure. He was proudly aware of the tedious nature these three tasks would present, yet he was prepared for it. He turned to his newfound ally, Samuel S. R. Rivers, and he grinned. The 63 year old man was in peak condition, for both his age and his species. An Aetherisum Combination ... basically, their own name for someone being a mixture of more than one supernatural creature. Being... a Duo-brid, for example. Or a Tres-brid. He was an Aethered werewolf (50%) and Orken creature. Orkens were a race of green-ish tribes, and their personalities were also green. These seven foot tall beings were obsessed with recycling, protecting the environment, and so on. Orkens had ears that were more pointy than the Elven tribes, bellies that only Ogrens could hope to fill, teeth that Tailens (Dragons) would be jealous of, and tracking and hunting capabilities that Darkens (Were-Beasts) should be aiming for. Their roars and tempers were not so friendly, though. The Orken-Wolf began to shift, and Edward blinked. Time slowed down to one attosecond. Samuel was now stood there, his grey-spotted white fur being puffed up to the extremes.
