《Going Out With a Bang》The Plan

Well, the starting point seems easy enough to choose. Most of the world’s countries are unified under the trade deals of the Hirenfa, none of them would risk going to war with each other because that would most probably mean having most of their resources cut off. As hard as it would be if I want the war to be successful I’ll have to take over countries that have a lot of industry and production because of the megacorp’s development. Having one of the countries they are already established in a fight will be nearly impossible. That narrows down my choices to Korea, China, Argentina, Chile, South Africa, and Congo. Just because they’re no wars, that doesn’t mean the world is completely peaceful. Far from it. Nowadays, the environment is closer to a game of impostors, every country acts friendly but they constantly watch each other and silently send agents in to try and make them crumble.
I can cross Argentina and Chile from my list to start off. The two never recovered from when the underground dealers revolted. The rise of mafia and black market figures in Chile and Argentina, and the countries around them trying to take their land and resources left them in complete ruins. The leaders didn’t even bother rebuilding it or investing in it. I believe it regressed to a primitive wasteland where every man tries to live. The constant battles completely destroyed the environment of the two countries, the Nuclear power plants malfunctioning one after the other was just the finishing touch. The entire country became radioactive and most of the people there died, the few remaining had their life expectancy cut by a lot. The people still alive contracted a new disease, it was very infectious and highly mortal, as a result, the entirety of the land was blockaded off. Sometimes we can see a few mutants crashing against the walls, I saw it in a documentary. The radiation, and diseases already basically made them monsters, however, it was the experiments that pushed them truly over the edge. The humans previously living there were experimented on over and over again while trying to find a cure, needless to say, any ethics or morals were thrown out the window at that point. A cure was never found in the end, the mutants simply changed, evolved, or mutated too fast, whatever you want to call it, they constantly changed, making an analysis nearly impossible. Eventually, efforts were given up and it was entirely abandoned, only a few people still remain close to there to perform maintenance on the wall.

The next ones are South Africa and Congo. I don’t think they’re a good idea either. I might reserve South Africa as backup plans but I won’t count on it, Congo on the other hand... that’s a dead end. When Hirenfa first started testing the technology that would later allow them to become the first and only company in the world, things didn’t exactly go well. The entirety of South Africa was desertified. The landscape there would become a sight that everyone in South America would dread years later. The country’s resources disappeared overnight. No more rain, no more trees, no more water. It became a true deadland. After that disaster, the damned company turned their sights to Congo for testing, and that’s when this normal country became hell on Earth. I experienced it myself while I was in high school and uni, for an “internship”. I was sent there because I took their offer, who wouldn’t want to work under the first company worldwide. It became the worst memory in my life, and the place hasn’t changed at all since then. Long story short, the leaders of the country and the high class agreed, but the lower class and black market leaders didn’t accept the decision, after seeing what happened in South Africa, they didn’t want to be forced to flee their own country. A civil war broke out, just thinking about it makes me remember the horror. No way in hell am I going back there.
Only two choices left then. Well, the two definitely have pros each. Unified Korea is the only country that was able to keep up with Hirenfa in terms of new technology and advancements in science. It’s disappointing but even they are starting to fall behind because of their small population and lack of workforce. China on the other hand is too far behind in terms of technology, but they still manage to stay a superpower and have one of the largest production of goods worldwide due to its population. Alone it represents 20% of the world’s population. They have two billion working individuals. Choosing them would definitely give me a large workforce and number of warriors to work with, but the technological inferiority might cause them to be wiped out before. On the other hand, United Korea would have technology close o or equal to that of the other countries, however; that would mean a very low amount of human force to use for anything, both have problems that are opposite of each other. The two countries are both solid choices, but if I’m planning to wage war against the entire world, this isn’t going to be enough. China was able to grow its production and living conditions exponentially after major reforms with its leading group, and while many people died during the reunification of Korea, which allowed the brightest talents of both countries to be united, the dictator in charge even made the rules in the nation less strict, he didn’t really have a choice since South Koreans couldn’t be brainwashed from birth, and he couldn’t just kill them all of, he needed the workforce.

If I want to cause chaos picking one of these countries is fine, but to have a perfect ending I’d have to get the best of both. Huh, this is an easy choice. The first step of the plan is decided.
It seems I’m going to unify Korea and China into a world power capable of rivaling the world.

The Fall of The Gods
Synopsis: In the year 1966, an army of Orishas led by Sango stormed Amadioha’s palace and razed it the ground, starting a decades-long war between two of Nigeria’s most powerful divine orders. Blinded by the rage of battle, the gods did not detect the rise of a third power, far greater and deadlier than anything they could have imagined. When gods, on both the Yoruba and Igbo sides, begin falling mysteriously to their death, Sango seeks the help of Odion, a Lagos teenager destined to rise from his dark past to become a hero. But can a human hero save the gods from a doomed fate? The Fall of the Gods is an action-packed YA fantasy based on the mythical bond that ties human life with the realm of the divine. It demonstrates the power of stories to change our lives. It also reminds us that Sango and Amadioha are not relics of the past and that, sometimes, what it means to be a hero in today’s world is knowing how to find inspiration in the stories of the gods. PLEASE NOTE: Weekly chapters will be released every friday along with interludes once in a while about Nigerian mythology.
