《Time of Devil》Chapter 3

I jumped with joy looking at my stats
FINALLYYYYYYY
I will be able to eat
I was so hungry to the point where I didn’t even thought of anything else rather than food
Jumping with joy I entered the forest.
I was able to finally eat a wolf
I ate to my heart's content and finally had a nice sleep after 3 weeks.
Next morning
I tried to jump from a tree to see how my passive ability would work but ended up spraining my ankle and couldn't walk properly for 2 days. If it had happened in devil's domain I probably would have had bad memory (thank god it was not in devil’s domain)
Since the earth was changed the time of revolution was changed.
4 year before “Maxim” was equal to 1 year after “Maxim”
Human aging was also changed
No one really gave much attention to it and soon after they got adapted to it.
Well I think I was the only one that HAD problems with this new world.
There was fierce competition wherever you went.
Some people went the right way while some went the wrong but everyone was too focused on themselves.
Well I could say this because I had a chance to observe it.
I tried to earn money so I could eat and progress properly.
You could earn money by different methods.
1- bounty hunting
2- Completing task (being a bodyguard escorting someone)
3- Sell animals
4- Work
I thought of raising my stats more before doing some jobs.
“Devil’s Domain”
1 second into 10 years
I thought of making a hand sign for it because I thought it would look better.
After a split second of me activating it I again got slammed into the ground.
I tried to get up.
It took me 3 whole months just to stand on my feet.
I was just like a baby trying to walk.
I was finally able to walk after 3 weeks of constant learning.

Then I remembered that this is going to hurt like hell.
I tried to gain endurance so it wouldn't hurt much.
I tried to push up and I couldn't even do one.
3 days later I could do 2 pushups in a row.
I came out of the devil's domain and I fell on the ground before I could realize.
It felt like my legs were ran over by a truck.
My body was getting pierced by over 100 swords.
I couldn't even feel where I was for some time.
The next day later my body finally felt a little normal.
I had left over meat from wolves so I ate it and slept because I couldn't walk properly.
I woke up the next day and found out my body had changed.
My height was different.
I had a better body than before.
I touched myself to see and was shocked myself thinking I was already dead or I was reincarnated into someone else’s body.
I wanted to see my stats.
Name:Akuma*
*Age: 15*
*Stats*
Strength:3200 Speed: 3995
Magic:290 Stamina:3000
Luck : 1 Endurance:3404
Intelligence: ??? Creativity:???
*Skills*
Passive : “Time of death”
Active:”Devil’s domain”
I jumped with joy.
I was impressed by my stats even though it was nothing compared to others but I didn’t compare myself with others because of the happiness.
I kept jumping with joy for a few minutes.
I then analyzed my stats briefly.
Name:Akuma*
*Age: 15*
*Stats*
Strength:3200 Speed: 3995
Magic:290 Stamina:3000
Luck : 1 Endurance:3404
Intelligence: ??? Creativity:???
*Skills*
Passive : “Time of death”
Active:”Devil’s domain”
Well I know why my speed is high since I still know the feeling of the pain I got.
I think the endurance went up because of the pushups I was trying to do and the gravitational pressure I had to overcome in order to walk.
Stamina and Strength were the ones I was confused about.
I had done nothing related to increasing my strength nor was I exhausted.

Well I thought I would do those area related training next time.
Then magic caught my eye.
It was the same value from before.
I knew It did not increase because I didn't even think of magic while training.
But how did it increase when I used the Devil’s Domain for the first time?
Well next time I think I need to stay more than 4 months :( .
I quickly went into the forest, chopped some animals and ate them.
It tasted very different.
It felt as if I gained something from my own hard work.
Even though I killed them from traps.
But anyways it tasted different than usual.
I had stats but no skill.
I didn't even know how to deal a blow to someone.
I thought of learning swordsmanship.
I had read about “basics of swordsmanship” before but theory and practicality was completely different for someone who didn’t even know how to hit a punch.
I sold some animals and got around 228$.
Wolf meat x 8 = 12$ x 8
Wolf skin x 12 = 10$ x 12
Rabbit skin x 5 = 2$ x 5
Rabbit teeth x 2 = 1$x 2
I held the money so hard as if it would disappear from my pockets.
I went and got myself some steaks for a low price and enjoyed it.
I also went and rented myself a room for 100$ per 4 months and got a smartphone
I didn't know how to do any kind of magic so I watched some videos online about it and slept.
I woke up late because of the comfy bed.
I wandered around to see if I could witness any kind of fight or magic.
Magic was mostly described in books so I went to the library.
I wondered if I could take a book in the devil’s domain and read it.
There was no limit on how many types of magic you could learn.
If you had enough knowledge you could even create your own magic.
I rented “ Hand to hand combat ” book in the library and went to my room asap.
I activated Devil’s domain with 1 second = 1 years and kept holding the book.
I figured out I was able to take it with me.
I tried to read it but I couldn't understand a single letter.
Huh?
Why am I not able to read???
Am I dumb???
No no no I was an honor student before that can't happen.
Am I really dumb?
I was reduced to a pitiful state then I remembered that this domain is messed up after some time.
I tried reading and punching different objects inside the domain for 3 months. I also did some endurance and speed training while I was at it.
I was able to read a few lines per minute on 2nd day but It's a lot better now.
While I was at it. I also tried doing magic.
The way magic was used in manga was basically by telling the name so I said
“ Fire Ball”
But nothing happened.
Well it was to be expected because I didn't knew a single thing about magic.
Finally in the 4th month inside my domain I was able to read the book completely and I had learnt to do all the moves in the book.
I was ready.
Ready to endure the pain.
I told myself to rest in peace before coming outside of the domain.
I came out and the pain kicked in.
My hands and legs felt as if I had kicked and punched a metal wall.
My brain felt like it was going to explode because of the reading I did.
It felt as if the information was forcefully going inside my brain.
Whole day passed and I was still feeling bad.
I slept.

Now sold into slavery, the young man must find not only a reason to survive but a purpose to carry him home. The journey has just begun, and the hardest step is always the first one. ~ This is my attempt at both the Xianxia/Wuxia and Portal/Isekai genre of fiction that I love, and the means to provide a story set in such guidelines, while distancing myself from some of the more common tropes. I do hope you enjoy the story I shall endeavor to tell. ~ Average post between 1000 - 3000 words. This is a work in progress, and will be edited and adjusted over time. If you’re interested in something a bit more GameLIT, you might want to check out my second story on Royal Road, “The Dawnfire Archives”.
