《My Barista is a Demigod》Prologue

I'm gonna be fucking late!
Said Michael, as he opens the door to his favorite local cafe. Michael has a coffee addiction. He would always order a cold brew venti with less ice. Even if he would be late for work, he would not miss his cup of dark coffee. Fortunately for him, there are not many people at this time of day.
Employee: "Good day, sir!"
Michael: "One cold brew venti, less ice."
Michael quickly made his order. Even though there aren't many people, he is still going to be late. He would need to take his coffee fast, or he wouldn't make it on the grace period.
Employee: "Anything else, sir? Would you like-"
Michael: "No, that would be all. Thank you."
He handed his terminal for payment. The employee then scanned it.
Employee: "Thank you, please take this order number."
Michael: *Nods*
The cashier passes the order to the barista behind the counter. Michael then sits and waits at a nearby table. He checks his terminal, he only has a couple of minutes left before the grace period starts. Even then, if he takes more than a minute, he would be late.
A few minutes pass, almost no time is left.
I need my coffee now or I'll be late. What's taking so long?
He stood up to follow up on his order.
Michael: "Excuse me, what's taking so long?"
Employee: "I'm sorry sir! We have a new hire working as a barista today."
The employee then looks at the barista. So did Michael.
The new barista looks in her early twenties. She has long blonde hair, pale skin, and has emerald-like eyes.
Michael notices something different from her.
Michael: "Excuse m-"
????: "Oi!! I've been waiting for so long, where's my goddamn coffee?"

Employee: "S-Sorry! We have a new hire, so please wait just a little bit longer!"
????: "I ain't waiting another goddamn minute!"
The tall, angry man pushes Michael aside and shouts at the new barista.
Michael: "Hey. Can you stop? You're causing a ruckus."
Man: "Aaah? And what are you gonna do? Haaa?"
Michael: "All this whining for a coffee? Grow up."
Man: "Y-You -?!"
*RIIIIIIIIINGG RIIIIIIIIINGG*
When Michael checks his terminal, he sees that his boss has sent him a message.
Michael: "Tsk."
Michael prepares to leave. He is now late and has not taken his coffee.
Michael: "Cashier, I'll take my coffee later. I'll be back in the evening. And you good sir, a little patience leads a long way."
Employee: "Ah, sir!"
Man: "Wha?!"
Michael rushes out in an extremely foul mood. He can already see his boss shouting at him.
What a bad day.
Michael pulls out his terminal to call his boss, telling him that he will be late today.
He then proceeds to work for the rest of the day, looking forward to that cup of coffee that he missed on.
Later that evening...
As he returns to the café to get his coffee, he notices a commotion at the nearby alley, which is the backdoor of said café.
He peeks. it was the angry man earlier this morning cornering the newly hired barista.
Man: "Hey lady, you sure took your time with my coffee earlier. Thanks to you, I arrived late at work! What are you gonna do about it, huh?!"
Barista: "Not my problem."
Man: "It fucking is!"
Michael sighs.
What a very short fuse this man has.
He readies himself to get involved, but then...
Man: "GYEAAAAAAHH???!!!"
Suddenly, the man screamed.
The barista's face was covered with red viscous liquid.
Michael was confronted with a disturbing sight. He has readied himself for a fight, but he was not ready to see a man become a lump of flesh in mere seconds. It was as if he exploded from the inside.
Flesh splattered to the walls, blood dripping alongside it. A fountain of blood erupted from where the man was standing.
The barista stood there with a face that shows no emotion.
Michael locked eyes with the barista. Her emerald-like eyes shining through the darkness.
Suddenly, his vision shooked and the world spun around him.
What did I get into exactly??!!!
