《Son of Sparta》Son of Sparta: Abnormal

Major General Luceria understood why she was called to the golden room.
The reserved area the chefs and custodians all prepped to the best of their ability is now in ruins. "Punishment will be dealt to those who participated. For now, let's move on to a different subject." The woman said as she examined the state of the golden ticket holders.
She looked at Kyren and Jasper and then instructed, "Bring those two to the infirmary. Then, I'll direct you where to report in an hour for a briefing detailed on the final steps in your enlistment process."
Kyren stood to his feet and called out, "Excuse me ma'am, but have my superiors at the monastery notified any of you about my exilement?"
"Ah..Kyren, it now is, right? Yes, we've received word regarding your exilement. However, the contents of the letter are not favorable for you."
"Ma'am if I have permission, may I ask for your signature on a petition I created to pardon my banishment?"
"As you are now, you have no right to ask anything from me. Nevertheless, I am a generous leader to my soldiers."
Kyren caught on to what she was implying and decided he will not hold back on tests anymore. He will no longer aim to keep a low profile.
"Now you three, follow me. I'll show you around for a while."
Kyren and Jasper shared a glance..."It's only us two."
"She means me." Mors said, standing firmly aside Kyren.
Luceria mostly kept a stoic expression and a strict demeanor, but in front of this boy she couldn't help but to feel shocked. Taking a punch of hers head-on while unsuspecting is no easy task. He should have been unconscious for atleast a few hours. She gave his file a look before she appeared because she was curious about the kid who broke and set new records, and needless to say, she was impressed...

...Impressed at how far a brute with no discipline traveled without being deeply corrected.
She would take it upon herself to Personally change that.
The trio found themselves making their way to another room. They were told that they were no longer at the location of their respective cities. The moment they opened the golden door, they were sent through a Teleportation Array that sent them North.
Luceria, Mors, Kyren and Jasper all make it inside a room where there are numerous people of all races. Luceria instructed the trio to stand-at-attention at the front of the crowd, while she made her way onto a platform that stood higher than anything in the room. She began to catch the eye of everyone present.
"My name is Major General Voidcore. My soldiers call me Major Void, but you lot will address me as Major General. There are three parts to this final test in your enlistment. That is all. Welcome to Camp Chion."
Faces of confusion quickly littered the room, they were not informed that they were going to be making any detours.
The staff did not give time to adjust to the confusion; screaming at them to assemble two single-file lines and enter a door labeled [Exit].
It was a mass panic but eventually the task was performed.
There was nothing for miles but open soil and rocks; a desert.
Major Void once again spoke, "Listen carefully to my instructions. On my mark, you will begin to sprint as fast as you can as my staff will chase you with batons...amped with 80,000 volts. It will sting, trust. Your goal is to make it twelve miles straight ahead before dawn of the next day without being tased. if you are, don't worry, you will not be thrown out or sent back home..." She watched as some of the trainees let out a breath of relief, "...You will have to start your sprint over again. From here." She smirked when she seen their faces pale in despair.

Half a second later a shot rang out.
Kyren wasted no time and was about to take off but was stopped by an arm blocking his path. It belonged to Mors.
"What the fuck is your deal, man?" Kyren pushed Mors's hand away and glared daggers into him.
Mors did not respond.
Half of the trainees had started to run, going as fast as their legs could take them under the burning sun.
Kyren was livid at how stupid Mors was for allowing people to pass when--
Luceria's voiced boomed through the vicinity, "Those who moved are disqualified. I told you to listen to my instructions carefully." Her voice as cold as her eyes.
She then took a whistle from her pocket and blew, announcing the actual start of the test. There was about sixty participants, now there are a little less than 35.
Before Kyren could say anything to Mors, Mors had already traveled 40+ yards, achieving first place and surpassing the ones who were crestfallen.
Livia and Jasper behind him.
Livia was another golden ticket holder but he did not know which number, he assumed it was five.
His attention was attracted to his left when he suddenly heard screams and laughter.
He spectated the wicked faces of the staff as they beat a boy with their batons, not even utilizing their electrical current, just taking complete and utter joy in beating him.
Kyren felt anger build within him, he wanted to help. He took a step closer and they noticed, switching from their previous target to him. Suddenly the guards had looks of terror and ran off. Kyren turned around and seen Major Void, what caught his attention the most was the bat; not baton, in her hand.
"You should start running now, that Mors kid has already disappeared from sight. Don't worry about the other staff, golden ticket holders will be in my care." She said with a sickly sweet smile. It was the first time Kyren seen her show emotion. Her pearly whites were all symmetrically aligned, giving her wide smile a very heavy spine-chilling feeling. He almost wanted to offer a prayer because of how demonic her smile was.
He started sprinting off, never once looking back to see if she was chasing him or not.

Dimensional Originator
Adam is having a terrible time. To start the day off he died in a car accident. And that isn't even the most painful thing that happened to him. That would be merging with a strange crystal. After that he ended up stuck in an endless black void. He does eventually get rescued. But quickly realizes his soul has been put in the body of a fallen noble and his fate is to be little more than a breeding slave for the cultivation clan that purchased him. To top it all off his new body had been bedridden for weeks and he can barely get out of bed. Not everything is terrible though. The crystal he merged with is called a dimensional originator. Using life and death energy he can create miniature universes. Given enough energy and time he could even create an entire universe. For a moment Adam thought things were looking up. Too bad the author finds things going horribly wrong far more entertaining. Warning: If this fiction was a movie I'd rate it as somewhere between PG-13 and R for violence, gore, and nudity.

Epoch: An NPC's Tale
Epoch is a slow-burn LitRPG/Gamelit novel that tells the story of Luke, later named Lucius—a natural inhabitant of the game-like realm of Elyssia where thousands upon thousands of detached, virtually unkillable entities known as the Players were suddenly introduced right after the dusk of the magnificent Age of Heroes. Shortly after the Players arrived, the balance of power in Elyssia instantly shifted. Kingdoms fell, wars were waged, alliances between races were made, and Lucius, after ten years of training in captivity, found himself being used as a pawn in a prophecy that he had no intention to fulfill. With aspirations and desires of his own, Lucius must find a way to cautiously adapt to the drastic changes in the very foundations of the realm after being sent 300 years into a future that was forever altered by the outcome of the war that his captors had lost and the Players won in a victory that resounded throughout the ages, all for a terrible price. Author's Note As an avid fan of the LitRPG genre myself, I wrote this novel with character progression, heavy Gamelit elements, and some degree of world-building in mind. If you like these, please feel free to give this novel a try. Oh, and the MC is also an NPC, in a sense. And wait, isn't this also an isekai story? Well, it's all a bit complicated to explain here. Maybe you should start reading now?
