《Son of Sparta》Son of Sparta: Identification

I hitched a ride on a wagon that was traveling to the nearest town for a couple of copper. I stole the copper from the orphanage before I left. The work I did was more like community service because I have never seen a single cent for the amount of work I did there.

I learned that every hundred copper is one silver, every hundred silver is one gold, every hundred gold is one platinum coin, and every hundred platinum coins is a spirit diamond. The last two are something people of common-wealth would never see in a million lifetimes; they were that rare.

The city-village I am travelling to is Karse. It is widely known as a merchant's paradise because every day it is booming with people. One could make quite the come up if their inventory is right. If all fails for me, I could always set up a shop here and make a few bucks to make a living.

Currently I have no leads on my mother's killer. I am far from stupid, I know the events of that day were planned. She was the target in a hit. My mother rarely left the house, except for when getting food and the like. Even if she was spotted outside, it was not enough reason for them to do...that to her.

I feel tears welling up and my throat began to burn as I tried to fight back. It is difficult to breathe.

Why do I even care this much I wonder. It is not like she is my real mother anyway...My thoughts drift off to times when I first...er, the second time I figured out how to walk. I remembered her face, the joyful expression she had. I remembered the scent of her cooking when I would get done reading. I remembered her voice, her laugh, her smell.

I remembered her...and how her mangled corpse was sprawled out on the floor.

A pain resides in my chest, I gnash my teeth in rage.

I Will Avenge Her Even If The Cost Is My Life.

I will become number one under the heavens so I can be close to her again.

She did not deserve to die.

The wagon begins to slow down and I turn to see a long line that is ahead of us.

After waiting in line for about an hour, I notice it is our turn to check in with the guards. Usually, all passenger would need an ID to get in but I pretended I was the old man's son so I was ignored.

After bypassing the guards, the man and I went our seperate ways. Before I can really do anything, I would need an ID. I was told by the man that I could get an ID free of cost if I registered as an adventurer.
