《Integration》Chapter Three – Tutorial, day One

The world went dark and I felt like all the fibres of my body were being pulled and pushed apart, it didn’t hurt mind you, time seemed to pass slow and at the same time it felt like it only took a second for everything to happen, and then as quick as it started it finished and I was there.
Where is there you ask me? No fucking clue. But there I was, in all my glory, I had chosen the Extreme difficulty against all my good judgment. I wondered how many people would choose it and If I would come across any of them… Looking at the screen it made me somehow hopeful, the risk seemed high but the rewards seemed worth it.
For your bravery you acquired the following:
· (Title) - Tutorial – Extreme
· (Skill) - Analyse (U)
· (Quest) – Multiple Entrances
· 10 Status Points
· 1000 Essence
I dismissed the window quickly so I could look around, scared something would jump on me or worse, looking around I was in a glade, a clearing in the middle of a forest, all I could see around me were trees and they didn’t seem that alien to me, they were all tall varying from 45m to 65m with long branches, as trees tend to be, the leaves were of a blueish ton. Well I guess that was a bit different…
It seemed to be around 11 am as the sun was shinning bright in the sky, the weather agradable, not too hot nor too cold, with a nice breeze coming through the forest, glancing around made me realise I was wearing something different to what I had been wearing, instead of shorts and a loose t-shirt, I was wearing a loose white cotton shirt, and the same material of pants with a sandal. Very odd.

Apart from the trees and the weird peasant clothing, there was nothing in the clearing but a big triangular black stone, as I’ve touched it a screen appeared startling me.
Looking at that, made me think two things, one was that I didn’t have much time in the Safe Zone and I would have to eventually find somewhere else safe to stay, the second thing was, I would have to leave the clearing and fight whatever was out there. I felt troubled and confused, I sat down looking around and I couldn’t see any creatures, or anything for that matter which was reassuring, because I had absolutely no idea how to fight or anything to fight with. That’s when reality hit me, I started thinking things through, I was in an Alien Planet as far as I could tell, no one around, no idea what to do, I shouldn’t have chosen this difficulty, what the fuck have I done, I’m no hero, I’ve got into fights before but they weren’t life threatening.
I started feeling a sense of impending danger, my heart started pounding faster and I was sweating profusely, then my hands started shaking, I knew what was coming, I was having a panic attack…
After 20 minutes passed, I started feeling slightly better, while I lied down in fetal position on the ground I heard what seemed to be stream of water coming from behind me, at last I had water nearby.
I sat down and my brain started working again, sluggish, but my thoughts started coming back to me slowly after a couple minutes of deep breaths. I was aware I was in a safe-area but realization really came to me that I was protected for at least a week so I shouldn’t have to worry for now and I felt like I somehow had overlooked the triangular black stone and it had more to offer.

The Joker, The Trickster, and the Magician
Wolfram Sakimoto, an infamous criminal, was about to be executed in a secret military facility only to survive by a sudden earthquake that struck the whole world and turned it upside down. With the appearance of strange and absurdly powerful monsters, humans started their final struggle to survive this tragic calamity. Wolfram, however, found joy and not despair in this drastic change. A lunatic on the loose, without any morals to uphold, only his thirst to battle the strongest. PS: This story has a relation with RE;Hell Gate and Once Human, Now a Parasite. The Protagonist is eccentric, to say the least, so don't expect any heroic dude. He can be a madman and a hypocrite, if that is not to your taste, then this isn't a story for you.

Two And A Half Deadmen
Silver-Spruce is a very strange and very haunted town. Ghosts inhabit its buildings and walk its streets. Some of them friendly and sane. Some of them not so much. Alder helps ghosts. Helps them fulfill their last requests so they can move on to whatever comes next. Sometimes the ghosts aren't so friendly and have to be moved on by force. Alder does that as well. And he's gotten rather good at it too. After a particularly rough exorcism, he finds himself following a strange ghost to a local tourist attraction. And while Alder never means to find himself caught up in chaos, monsters, magic, and mayhem always seem to have a way of finding him. You want more specifics for what you're reading? Here you go: This is Urban-fantasy but a little bit of a different spin. Often the protagonists in such stories tend to be the bigger fish in their world, or at least far from small fry. Be they legendary boogie men or badass wizards (which is in no way a bad thing, I love a lot of those stories.) But I thought it would be fun to have a protagonist who's far closer to the bottom end of the scale. He has some magic, and it's potent in its own way. But he isn't the big dog or a fighting machine. Outside of his bubble of influence, our protagonist is essentially a normal human as far as powers are concerned. And while you should be warned that this story will get dark in some places it's (hopefully) balanced out by humor and the lighter stuff. I'm not sure how to end this synopsis section so I'll just say bye. Bye!

Rise of the Keeper
A regular boring day is turned upside down by powers beyond Joshua Hale's perception. He's found himself in the possession of a strange crystal and now monsters are being thrown at him. He will have to figure out this strange new world of stats and skills quickly if he wants to adapt to survive. On the way he will make some interesting friends and might just rise to become someone that can take on these challenges forced upon him. This fiction is a fun pet project I've always wanted to try.(I'll try to mark the explicit chapters.) A massive shout out and thanks to my pal Silberfrost for making the amazing cover art! Chapter updates should be on Sundays at 9pm AST
