Magicians.
Magic is called to be a fairy tale or legend back in the 19th century. But with an incident, a normal man possessing special abilities protects his child from a gunshot that was aimed at him by a group of thugs.
At the time, the strange power was referred to as a supernatural ability. They believed that it was a purely inherent ability born out of a mutation of some kind of curse and that the techniques couldn't be shared, spread, or systematized to anyone.
But they were completely mistaken.
As research on supernatural abilities advanced, both in the East and West, all around the world, more and more people appeared on the public stage to talk about "magic." Eventually, magic was able to reproduce those once supernatural powers.
Of course, one needed the talent. But it was the same as possessing skill in the arts or sciences only those with a high predisposition could achieve professional levels of proficiency in magic.
Supernatural abilities were systematized using magic, and magic also became technology.
Those with supernatural ability users came to be called magicians.
These magicians were powerful enough to force even nuclear weapons and powerful countries to yield to them. To nations, they were both weapons and power themselves.
As the magicians begins to appear more and more, the government decided to open magical high schools in many cities. Where young people could learn magic and could help the country to become powerful.
And in Lunar city, the Magic High school is also one of the best magical schools with high-grade magician students. Is also called 1st Magical High school in the whole Lunar City.
The 1st Magical Highschool of Lunar City [Merthyr Academy] is known for being the most advanced institute of magical studies, which graduates and gives the greatest number of students to help the country to prosper every year.

At the same time, it is an elite school that produces the greatest number of skilled magic casters and warriors, who are known as "magicians."
Also, there is no official stance on equal opportunity in magical education.
This country does not have the luxury of such indulgence.
And because of the glaring gap between those who can use magic and those who cannot, any kind of mediation is but an optimistic ideal.
Those who are out-and-out believers in talent.
Those who are almost cruel in their demand for actual skill.
That is the world of magic.
Simply being able to use magic is a kind of blessing and they couldn't able to use any kind of magic is like any curse. Many couldn't able to feel this huge gap that was between them. And sometimes get mockery and become laughing stocks for any magicians and this also caused the hatred between magicians and ordinary people to grow.

[WAKE UP! WAKE UP! Wake UP You Lazy Pup...]
It was already 6:00 "O" Clock early in the morning and the alarm clock was ringing so loudly. Even though the sound was so loud to hear Gray was sleeping so heavily.
"...aghhh."
The feeling of waking up was the worst.
Grey blew the blanket away, excitedly moving his two hands and grumbling.
After all, when you wake up to find you are completely drowned by your sweat, and itching all over your body, with half-completed sleep other than a special group of people, anyone would be unhappy.
"...Sigh" Exhaling, he wanted to cover himself with the blanket again. Looking at the time, it was already six.
"Good morning." Although there was no one to hear his sleepy voice Grey casually said these words to chair up himself.

It was already 1st April 3020 the day of the school entrance ceremony. After Grey come out of his hometown it was already his fifth day in Lunar City.
After waking up from his sleep, and looking around him, he was almost lost for words.
"...All right, I should get ready and check out of this godamn hotel." Scratching his head quizzically, he looked around his room.
Grumbling, he suddenly recalled something.
As his half-asleep brain slowly woke up, last night's memories resurfaced.
Looking at his appearance again, covered with sweat, he let out a sigh. His hotel room in a Lunar City was sweltering because the room's air conditioner was broken, and the fan that was at the seeling was moving at a very slow pace like any turtle was already out of gas.
Although he comes to Lunar City he was broke. The money he was carrying with him was very little, and with that, he couldn't even able to pay the bill of an average-level hotel in Lunar City. And after searching the complete Lunar City did he find this hotel on the very barren side of this city.
Although the hotel looks very broken and old, the stay was in this hotel was very cheap and it was within the pay range that Grey could afford. Leaving with no other choice Gray finally decided to stay in this hotel.
The apartment he was given by the hotel manager was not so big, almost all things were broken, and even the room was not so clean.
Last night when Grey was in his deep sleep in the middle of the night the electric power was cut off causing the A.C to malfunction. Even though it was already the morning there was no sign of electricity entirely coming back.
The backup generator was although good was very old and could only able supply an ample amount of electricity to seeling fan.
Causing the food that he had carried with him and stored in his refrigerator to all spoil up.
"Ah..."
Troubled that he might be late for the first-day entrance ceremony he quickly got out of bed. Holding down his bedhair and suppressing a yawn, he plodded out of the room to wash.
At that moment, the small dusty mirror hanging on the wall caught his eyes.
A boy whose face forelocks were about to invade his vision, probably because he hadn't had a haircut for a while, with his faded brown eyes still plunging in a half-sleep casting a lame look at Grey.
"..."
Together with his declining eyesight, his looks had also been slightly degrading.
Sighing, he barged into the bathroom to get himself washed.
After washing himself Grey put on his Uniform that was provided by the school.
After getting ready and taking his things from this room he checks out of this hotel walking in the direction of the nearby bus depot.
