“The next step”

It wasn’t long until they started talking and meeting, time always spent together

The maid promoted to the princess’ handmaiden as the ball ended and their companionship began fast-paced

With each stare and glance the passed them by, it was clear their hearts have and their souls become each other’s lover

The princess was astounded; for how could she love a maid, a servant so beneath her, and yet with the thought of her lovely brunette, her heart raced

The maid knew she should stop, end this nonsense, but the smile of her precious princess, she couldn’t say “it’s over”

In the night, hidden under the shadows of the trees and clouds, they walked the gardens, eyes staring at each other with glistening desire, and so that night their mind, body and heart became together laced.
