>be Evan.
>be sixteen, chilling in his room, reading A Storm of Swords.
>an explosive argument is ensuing in the living room.
>Jason is eighteen, and has just informed their parents he has signed up for the military.
>Their parents are not happy about it.
>Jason has already filled out his paperwork and is heading out for basic at a date Evan didn't hear correctly but sounds like it won't be too far off.
>He's been volunteering at the base in Howell recently, all while telling their parents he won't actually sign up.
>Their father is livid.
>You're not the guy who joins the military, you're the guy who runs his own business, you're the guy who gets his degree and goes to work for some place making six figures a year. You're not a soldier. You're not some politician's pawn.
>It's not your decision, Dad.
>There's a war right now, Jason!
>You're better than this, Jason, says their mother, trying to keep the peace.
>I need to get out of here, and I'm not gonna be able to save enough working at AutoZone. I need to just go, and this is the best way. I'll be taken care of. I can go to school after I get back.
>You're not going.
>You need to go to college NOW, for the last time.
>WHY?
>Because you need to get a job.
>You guys need to wake up. Unless you're the best at what you do you're not gonna just find a fucking job.
>Watch your mouth.
>It's true!
>If you get a degree you will find a job.
>I'm not going into any more debt. I've already got my car debt and that alone is hard enough to manage.
>You deal with that just fine.
>Can you pay for it? Will you pay for me to go to freaking Eastern? Cause I won't get in anywhere else, not with my GPA.

>As I've said before, everyone your age is taking out loans. You can pay them off when you get a job.
>I'm not going to just get a job. But if I serve, the military will pay for me to go to Eastern, or wherever the fuck I want!
>Watch your mouth.
>I'm losing my mind around here! It's always been about what you two wanted even when you said it was what I wanted! It wasn't! It was what you wanted!
>Jason gets quiet. Evan can practically hear him shrugging, throwing his hands up.
>I'm eighteen and there's nothing you can do to stop me, he says.
>You don't understand the decision you're making here. You don't get it, snarls their father.
>Evan thinks of two wolves, baring their teeth at each other.
>Right, right, I get it. Don't feel it. Or, you can feel it! Or don't talk about it! Don't inconvenience anyone!
>Jason's ranting again, his voice is getting fainter now, he's left the living room and is headed out the front door.
>You're not leaving on the fifteenth, yells his father, his own voice getting fainter as he follows Jason out. You hear me? Not happening! I don't care if I have to say that to Bush himself!
>Evan hears Jason's car start up and pull away.
>Maddie comes into the room, scared at the fighting but trying to play it off like she's looking for one of her hair clips that she thinks she left in here.
>Evan returns to Storm of Swords, tells Maddie not to worry about it.
>Jason'll be fine. Go away, I'm reading.
>I can't have him go over there, Evan hears his mother say. That would eat me alive.
>He's not, says his father repeatedly. He is not.

Hunter Or Huntress
A human engineer named Tom accepts a deal to travel to a Fantasy world with the mission of changing it forever. He is given a week to prepare before setting off. Once on the other side, he is greeted by a fantastical world and its inhabitants. his original mission to change this world and have some fun while doing it quickly turns into him making a home for himself and defending it and his new family against whatever ends up coming their way. The story will also follow the POV of Sapphire a local woman who Tom encounters early on in his travels to yield a closer insight into our local population. The story focuses mainly on the interactions between the characters with intermittent action, romance, and the technical side of trying to bring a medieval-high-fantasy people up to speed with more or less modern technology. There will be discussions of mental illness, immense loss, and joy, ranging from the truly heartbreaking to the properly heartwarming. The first chapters are on the short side but eventually escalate to the 3000-5000 word range. especially the early chapters suffer from poor grammar and I am sorry. they are slowly going to be brought up to spec. The story is originally posted on Reddit r/HFY https://www.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/jfgpie/hunter_or_huntress_chapter_1_the_offer_oc/ If you can't remember a character or just wanna see what's what. there is also the wiki here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1sqP9B7Mqh2D1tpboFHqpk6f0284wX-HE?usp=sharing Cover art by the amazing Uwnycorn: https://www.deviantart.com/uwnycorne If you want to support this odd little project I do have a patreon. Is it Really Ok for a Dungeon Master to Manage a Dungeon?
Leo Flores just wanted to play D&D with his friends. He didn't expect anything life changing to happen during their odd little campaign, but next thing he knows he's been summoned by those same friends as the Demon King who will lead their dungeon to greatness. This takes being a Dungeon Master to a whole new level doesn't it? A fun romp of a story that takes a few jabs at the common tropes found in isekai LN while also mainting a genuine plot. Some moments and characters are based off my own campaigns I've run before. Trying to upload once a week, but may take up to two weeks to upload.

Odditorium
Creativity is power. Creation is power. Arax is empty, he has no personal attribute and his parents have left him out in the dark. By day he suffers through a mid-level university trying to convert people into Masters but it's given him no luck, nothing will stick. His only momentary joy is the games of Harshings that he plays every night with the members of the Armament Club, ten of the highest level Harshings players of all-time, Arax is the only one under three-hundred years old. Anyways, after a harsh game of Harshings (pun intended) one of the members of the club contacts him with a solution to his emptiness problem, Mimir's Well. Anyways, this story is about God's and creativity and bonkers off the wall (expletive) and rituals and God's and sex jokes. I probably got inspired by like all of the mythos stories that have been popping up on here. It's in a VERY rough form because I've just been getting back into writing. I've written like fifty thousand words already so I guess have fun.

Single Creation
“You created me, a being of far greater capacity than you could have imagined at a price beyond your nightmares. Now you are lost, wandering through a desolate land, searching blindly. Seeking something you yourself are not aware of, a place where a lifetime of memories should be, but instead an empty abyss resides.-” After I disconnected my finger from the drive it shifted back into its original form and a single thought roared through my mind. ‘What did I do?'
