《Bastion Of Heroes》Chapter 7

After facing several hours of battling the giant, his Master had finally decided to let Seth return home. This was one of the methods of training Seth’s Master had come up with. His Master would put Seth through a mental trance, where Seth would have him face a scenario that his Master had once experienced. The scenario took place in what was known as the mindscape. Anything that Seth’s Master could visualize, he could bring it out in his mind. It was useful for training and planning purposes, but only experience people could bring outsiders into their mindscape. Seth was nowhere near his Master’s level as he could barely form his own.
The training had taken up several hours before he was finally released. Fortunately, this type of training had only expend Seth’s mental strength which could be recovered after a few hours. Just in time for the event he planned to attend later at night.
When Seth had left the Twilight Zone, it was already 6 o’clock. The sun had already begun to set and the most visitors had begun to leave the park. Seth decided to do the same as he followed a small path that led to the main road which would leave him exiting the park on the right side. Walking took him about 20 minutes from the park to his house. HIs parents had already notified him about being home late, so Seth had bought a salami sandwich from a deli on his way home.
Once Seth arrived home, he dropped off his school bag in his room and went to shower. Seth lived in a typical two-story house. The kitchen and living room on the first floor, while two bedrooms occupied the second floor with a restroom on both floors.
After finishing his shower, Seth went into his room and set up an alarm on his phone. He set it for 3 hours later which would be 10 o’clock. HIs room was on the average side. It had all the necessary bedroom furniture such as a bed and desk. On his desk was a few textbooks, stationary, and a computer. There wasn’t much in his room since Seth didn’t see the need to go out of the way to decorate his room. What stood out the most was poster of the world map on the wall. This world map was filled with different marks and post-its. There was exes, circles, and questions marks everywhere on the map.

Seth sat down on his bed and began to circulate his chi within his body. This process acted as cleansing his body and also maintenance. His Master had told him that only through meditation would his body grow accustom to his chi. The more accustomed his body was to his chi, the better he would being a fight. At the same time. Seth was trying to see if there was any chance of his core forming. It was a small hope, but one could only try.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
The phone alarm clock woke Seth out of his mediative trance. He got off his bed and changed his cloth. He put on a hoodie and also a small blue facemask, enough to cover half his face. He did a final check on his personal belongings.
Mask on? Check. Where he was going, if you didn’t wear one you were the odd one.
His emergency weapon? Check.
HIs phone? Check. He took a second to think if he really needed to bring his phone which contained his IDs and credits. Seth had planned to be as inconspicuous as possible tonight, but decided to bring his phone just in case.
He opened his window and felt the cool night breeze in his face. Seth jumped onto his roof, taking in the night setting. Despite the darkness bought by the night, the neighborhood was filled with small lights emitted from different sources. Homes, streetlamps, and cars all released a small amount, chasing away the darkness.
Seth took a breath of air and began to run. When he got to the edge of his roof, he jumped and soared onto the next house. He kept on running and repeated the process. Seth could feel a bit of butterflies flying in his stomach. It wasn’t the first time he had traveled like this. No, it was the event that he was heading towards for the first time. A certain event that involved rooftops and fighting.
