《Another world? what's the difference?》Chapter 1 "Half-beast tribe's lament"

A blue circle with many symbols brightened the outer and inner of the circle was shining in the ritual place at Ohre, half-beast tribe's village. Several bodies were laid on the ground. No external wound, meant that those bodies were died by something else.
A young half-beast woman wearing some kind of shaman's clothes were praying with a trembling body.
"o mighty old God, your humble servant offered twenty finest souls for your mighty existence! please hear our lament! please give us your savior!"
The young woman voice was shaking, and she shouted her pray out loud. Her tribe was in danger, to the point this forbidden ritual was held by chief village and all villagers decision. Twenty people that she knew, as the finest warriors in their village, sacrificed themselves for this ritual, so this "mighty God" better gave them what they needed.
"how's it Shanti? did God hear your pray? our pray?" an elder half-beast talked to the young woman
"just.....just a little bit...we need to wait for a little bit..." Shanti, the young woman, couldn't see the elder face
The blue circle was still shining but that was it. No other sign showed. It would be a terrible thing if those twenty souls became mundane. That would become their tribe's end.
"o mighty old God, your humble servant offered twenty finest souls for your mighty existence! please hear our lament! please give us your savior!" Shani repeated her pray
Nothing happened. Shanti held her hands tightly, and fresh blood flowed through her back hand caused by her nails. She was really desperate, and tears came down on her face. The elder showed a hopeless expression. The other villagers started mumbling and panic.
"God...please...we had done nothing wrong....why do we always get hunted by those humans?"

Shanti grabbed the ground and buried her nails into it. She didn't hold her hands anymore, and she looked up to the sky. Her pupils got smaller, her fox ears faced up, and she opened her mouth.
"O MIGHTY GOD!! GIVE US YOUR SAVIOR!!"
Shanti's voice was ringing around the ritual place. Shanti closed her eyes while crying. The elder and villagers looked at her direction. Shanti turned back and stood up facing the elder and villagers. She opened her eyes and saw a shocked expression on their face. It couldn't be helped because their shaman failed to do the ritual, their last hope.
"i...i'm sorry...i..."
The elder and villagers sight were still fixed to the direction behind her. They didn't say anything, and only looked into one direction. Then she knew, something was happened behind her.
"-fuuuh- so this is another world?" someone voice came from behind her
Shanti turned her sight and saw a man standing in the center of blue circle. The circle and the symbols stopped glowing and a smoke came from the ground.
A man who looked like a human race stood there with 178 cm height. He had a very short hair with side line cut seen on his head. He weared something like an uniform, but she never saw a design like that before.
!!!
She realized the man who stood in front of her. She kneeled and shouted out loud.
"we were really grateful by your existence!! our savior!!!"
After confirmed by Shanti, the elder and villagers also kneeled in front of their savior. They bowed their head and waited for the next response from the savior.
"o....our savior... please help us"
"...sure....."
Shanti showed a grateful expression on her face. She faced her savior and wanted to say thank you, But before she could say it, it was cut by his words.

"but i want to ask you something"
Shanti felt confused, but she tried to respond to her savior's question.
"su..sure, anything. I will answer it as best as i can.."
The man looked around him. He saw twenty half-beast bodies lay on the ground. All of them had a sturdy posture and great muscle. They were definitely a fighter. He looked at them for a minute, and walked closer to the young woman in front of him.
"these bodies... were they sacrificed? for summoning me?"
"yes... they were...." Shanti couldn't hide her frustrated feeling
"i see..."
The man squatted, so he became in the same eye's level with the young woman. He stared directly into her eyes. Shanti felt really confused right now. was her answer wrong? did she offend him?
"so you chose me over those twenty fighters? why?"
"..."
"it....was necessary....to summon you, our savior..."
"so you believed unknown savior like me will save you? rather than those twenty fighters of yours?"
Shanti couldn't answer. She knew that it was wrong, she knew that they shouldn't rely on something like the ritual, yet they didn't have any choice left.
"i...we believed this is the best way...." Shanti tried her best to hold her tears
The man stood up and looked to the elder and villagers direction. Their face showed no hope, let alone their fighting spirit. Their numbers even didn't reach fifty, really small numbers for a village. He sighed and looked into the sky.
"another world huh? what's the difference?"

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.

Hope
There were 2 options: Fight the same war for countless more aeons. Shatter the Betrayer's undead legions time and time again until all was ground to dust. Because the endless legions truly never end. A hair's breath of ground in a century is enough if the war takes all of eternity. Or to choose Hope. To cast away his memories, his power, his very life. To wager everything on a chance to prevent their eventual end or to perish trying. Because if he were to return it would be with the power necessary to finally slay what remains of the Betrayer. Of the last Aspect. Only then would all things be right. And so, he chose the latter. Expect:Weak to strong quick-ish.Powerful MC reincarnates, gradually starts regaining memories.MC that is an actual character not a plot device. My original unique magic system discovered along with the MC.My original setting with mythos that have both been living rent free in my head for actual years.Opening arc will be less fast than the following story. Good writing (I think) and grammar. Upload schedulle: 2 chapters a week of 3-4k words each. I want to upscale to 3 in the future. Meant to be read in RR dark mode. For those coming here from my other stories, this is indeed a reimagining of my older story, CotM. I say reimagining because I have changed so much it cannot be called just a rewrite. Among the major changes, MC is fundamentally different in personality and background, I have actually planned the story out and changed it almost completely and I have adjusted my mythos so it no longer has as many holes as swiss cheese.

Dreams or Another World - Not a Zero
No, my name’s not Doug. I lied. Waking up in this hospital bed and right away I’m being questioned. They say I’m a hero, saved some girl. I don’t remember any of that. Combat, progression, leveling, classes, but no numbers or stats. I’ll try to keep the language clean, PG-13, no smut. I’m in the US, writing in English. I intend to complete this story or at least bring it to a proper ending. I have a destination in mind. I find as I write, doors and ideas open, while others close and are discarded. I'm new to creating. My apologies now while I learn. I have not settled on a book cover or artwork, still looking for something that fits. Registered & Protected #20VjeKDv2U6nynW6
