《MARKIS》Chapter 3: Strength.

We can’t give up. There isn’t another option. There was no choice but to never give up.
“Bro, we need to get back there,” I said.
“Look hen, we... I don’t think we can make it...” I know he’s only trying to make sure that we survive. But then.. What would be the point if we let her die?
“We won’t give up on her,” I said.
“Ah... Alright, we’ll move then.”
This time we weren’t looting houses. We were hunting for ghouls. We were bound to get hurt or worse, even so we will do it.
“Let’s get going bro.”
“Aight. You lead.”
We then stood at a crossroad, this is where we would have to decide how we went.
Choosing one meant that we’d have to stay in that path, at least until we get enough Markis.
“We’ll go through the mine.”
“You sure Bluu?”
“Yeah.”
I took out my sword. For some reason it felt so nerve-wracking. But, seeing Bluu’s face, I calmed down. We’ll do it. We’ll make it. We’ll live. I slid my shield back onto my back.
“Hen, I’ve got the crystal lamp.”
The two of us walked closer to the desolate mine, it was a distance between here and the village, but we made it, and now we had to go inside.
I took a breath and walked inside.
“I’ll light the lamp, hold on,” said Bluu.
Suddenly came light.
Spiders roamed the stone roof that was barely held by the wooden supports that I saw. Pickaxes lie about, it had been years since anyone had been inside. There was no life here. All that remained was the broken remnants of the past that had now become the future.
There wasn’t room for mistakes anymore. If we screw up, we die. If we choke up, we die. If we don’t try, we die. It was like everything was out to kill us, I was scared.

“Hen!!”
“What?!”
“In front of you!”
I couldn’t see anything, but suddenly a ball of blackness jumped at me, it was a spider, a meter long, I immediately blocked it with my shield. It opened its mouth and hissed at us. It observed the both of us carefully.
Bluu charged at it with his knife, and stabbed into one of its legs, it screamed and bit his hand.
“Ahhhh!”
I raised my shield and crushed the spider with it. But it wasn’t enough. It started jumping up onto the walls, jumping from here to there, dodging every one of our attacks, it was fast. Annoyingly fast.
“Bluu! You good?!” On his left hand was a bite, swelling into a balloon. Not again, I won’t lose another person. I will never let that happen.
I put the shield on my back and took out my sword, I took a breath, and suddenly it was as though something took me over, I could charge at it with no fear, no hesitation. I took a stance, my left foot forward, and my right foot back, and then a slice to the left. One of the spider's legs was caught in it. The sword sliced through it like there was nothing there.
The leg fell to the floor and so did the spider, screeching in pain.
And suddenly Bluu came charging at it and stabbed it, in its abdomen, blood flowed out of it and it stopped screaming.
“Bluu, stop... Are you okay..?”
“Yeah, I’m fine. Anyway... We should go, we just got 15 Markis, and it was gone immediately, I’m guessing it’s being used for Ana.”
“Alright. I wasn’t just high right? I saw this damn thing move so fast..”
“Yeah nah, it’s quick.”
Soon the two of us continued on, the mine branched off into a fork, and to make sure we didn’t get lost Bluu left a trail of rocks to follow back to get out.

We went into the first path, only to see that there were more spiders. Baiting one and running back to the fork we started attacking it. It was just like the other one, but we started noticing something. These spiders and ghouls, though they looked similar they weren’t the same. Rather they had completely different attack patterns even though they used the same moves.
I remember watching Miyamoto talk about this, he called it a DAS-AI. Dynamic Attack System - Artificial Intelligence. I completely forgot about it.
“In front of you!”
“Shit! Thanks for the save Bluu!”
“Watch your front! I’ll attack it!”
While I kept it distracted, Bluu came in from the back and stabbed it. I don’t know how many hours it had been, but eventually we had killed two more spiders and then Bluu said, “Hen! We did it! We friggin’ did it!!” He started hugging me, “We did?”
“We did!”
The reason for why we were so excited was well, the Markis had stopped being transferred, which means that she was saved!

Child of the Ancients: An Apocalypse LitRPG
It all started in the middle of Dante's nap. He wanted to sleep his life away, but the system denied his request. Instead, it began to transform the Earth, integrating it into the multiverse by granting everyone stats and skills. He was talented, or so the system thought. And that meant he needed to be challenged. After being sent into a deadly cavern, Dante strives for the future he's always desired. But when he learns about the secrets hidden within him, he's shaken to his very core. He wishes for the nightmare to end until something goes wrong. [The world will end in one year.] Instead of everyone receiving a relatively gentle tutorial, the people of Earth are deemed redundant. Dante makes it his goal to save as many people as he can before the world ends, but with billions of lives at stake, he might have to turn into a monster before he can become a hero. Planned updates (2500+ words): M/W/F. 12pm AEST/ 9am EST. M-F during Writeathon. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Author's Note: All system apocalypse novels seem to jump straight over the apocalypse itself, which I find very sad. I don't want this to turn into a typical fantasy novel in about ten chapters. Instead, I hope to explore the destruction of society and how things would look if superpowers suddenly appeared in the real world. Before the real apocalypse happens, of course. There will be base building, and likely romance once things settle down. Also dragons, because they are awesome :)

The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. Jamil Mesbah- An Egyptian woman who once worked as a technical writer. Her path leads into a vast and hostile forest, where she must master both her magical abilities and her survival skills in order to succeed. Enjoy your travels, friends.

Moonlight Sword Sect
One of the three great sects, the Moonlight Sword Sect is a powerful sect that rules over a overwhelming amount of deity-like cultivators, like a dragon that rules over powerful treasures. The Moonlight Sword Sect, also called as the ?Moonlight Illusions Sect,?is the most feared sect among the three great sects for its profound and mysterious technique that can destroy realities and even the time itself. Indeed. This is the sect that no one must or even most, "can" fight as this sect is strong by any means, be it offensive or defensive as they can bend the reality to illusions, giving the attacker or defensive side a dim light of hope of surviving from the wrath of the Moonlight Sword Sect. However... "Are you really that serious, sect master?" "Yes, I am indeed serious." "You're giving away the sect master role to someone so that you can go away from your sect-master duties and court that female cultivator from other sect?! Are you serious sect master?!" "Yes." "Sigh... I can't believe this is happening..." ??? "Xiare! I challenge you!" "Hehehe.... Even though you're an OP character, you're still a weakling, my little Eumi. Fine then. I'll accept your challenge. Let's duel! Show me your best cards!" Indeed. Instead of a more serious tone of what the Moonlight Sword Sect cultivators imagined and portrayed by the other cultivators to be, they were instead opposite of that. Instead, they were casual, free from worries and most importanty— carefree with no sign of ending. It was as if they were like a joke, despite being one of the most feared sect across the cultivation and mortal world. Follow the cultivators of the Moonlight Sword Sect as they experience the changing world with their carefree lifestyle.
