I feel like the world is in slow motion. Although I prepared myself mentally, I am still pretty nervous about fighting. While I was still on earth, I watched a few boxings matches, but I never had a real fight myself. While all these thoughts flash through my head, I reach the rat.

My paws touch the dirty and fuzzy fur. The creature turns its head to me and looks at me with its bloodshot eyes. I am in a shock for a second, but that is enough for the rat to turn around and bite me in my pawn.

IT HURTS!!!

I quickly pull my foot away and jump a few decimetres away. Blood gushes out of the wound and made a little blood pool under me. At the corner of my eye, I see the rat rushing at me.

I grin my teeth together and try to ignore this excruciating pain.

Just as the rat reaches me, I pretend to run away, but shortly before the rat could catch up to me, I turn around and bite the shocked rat in its head.

My teeth sink into its flesh. The blood prays out of the wound and in my tiny eye. But then, I am blocked by something hard.

I should be happy to land a hit, but I couldn’t think of anything, but wanting to let go of this rat. Although my taste buds seem to have changed since I have become a dog this rat is still more than disgusting. The foul smell penetrates my noise, making me want to vomit.

But I pull myself together and try to reach into its brain.

My teeth hurt so much from trying to penetrate bones and the struggling rat isn’t a help either.

Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore and let the rat go. The rat falls to the ground and twitches.

Is it still alive?

I slowly approach the rat and nudge it a little bit. Seems to be dead.

Well, now…….

I have to eat it.

Just as I wanted to take the first bite, THE RAT SUDDENLY JUMPS AT ME!!!!

It‘s teeth sink into my neck and the rat pushes me to the ground and applies more force to its bite.

I AM FUCKED!!!

Am I really gonna die in my first fight?

Was my reincarnation for nothing?

NO! I am going to kill this disgusting rat.

I extend my claws and pierce it into the abdomen.

The rat doesn’t stop so I pierce it again, again and again!!

Slowly but surely its movements died down and finally the rat falls to the ground next to me. I did it!! Now I am going to enjoy the spoils of my victories.

I open my mouth and bite into the rat.

The blood and the flesh flows into my mouth and I instantly gulp it down.

It is really disgusting.

After I recovered for half a minute, I eat again. This continues, till there is nothing left but bones.

But I don’t hear the system. Do I have to eat the bones as well?

But my worries were baseless.

After 10 seconds, I hear the calming sound of the system.
