《The Tale of a Fenrir》A plan to get out?

Pov Zack:
As soon as, I wake up from my nap, I notice that my surroundings have changed.
I am no longer the cage that was in the white room, but in a fancy carrige.
My situation has become better. I am still in a cage, but heh... you take what you get.
Before, I could do anything else I remembered something.
Ha!!! Take that System.
Wasn't I right when I said sleeping solves all problems.
...
Too embarrassed to answer System???
Anyway, after I announced my triumph over the system, a person came into the carrige.
And guess who it is.
It is that boy that I saw when I was still in the white room.
And behind him I clearly see the big man who is dressed in black.
The boy looks at me a strange look me and smiles.
I don't understand what us going on, but I don't think I am in any serious danger.
The boy goes into the carrige and sits in fromt of me.
The big man say something to the boy and he replies with an annoyed tone.
The man slightly bows to the boy and closes the carrige door.
He jusy silently sits there and observes me.
After about 3 min he averts his gaze, takes out a book and begins to read it.
This continues for about 70 minutes and he showed no signs of stopping.
In all this time. He didn't even spare me a single glance. Am I really that uninteresting?
But, the most important question is why I am out of the room?
Did it maybe have something do to with him?
Maybe he adopted me? Or he noticed something strange about me?
Maybe, that is why he was shocked the first time we made eye contact.
OH NO!!! That wouldn't be good.

If that is the case I would be tortured and experimented on.
Or he thinks I am some kind of devil possessing the dog. Based on the clothing style of the people I saw until now, we are still in the era where the church was very powerful.
Maybe, he wants to get God's favor by killing a devil and that's why he told nobody else about my uniqueness.
OK. Zack. Calm down. Don't let your imagination run wild and create such frightening scenarios.
I am just a normal dog that has the intelligence of a human and a system.
Yeah, definitely nothing is abnormal about me.
As I saw nothing, that I could do so I just quietly sat there.
I sat around for another 10 minutes, until I couldn't take it anymore.
I have to do something productive or I would eventually die of boredom.
But what can I do when I am in a cage that would take a long time to escape.
Even if I escaped this boy would instantly stop me. Not to mention, I have no way of openeing the door.
Compared to other humans he may not have much strength, but it would be sufficient to hold back a tiny dog like me.
And in the unlikely scenario that I jump at him, before he can react and scratch him with my tiny claws so that he panics and opens the door.
Based on his fancy carrige and his expensive clothing his parents should be quite influencing.
I would be hunted down and killed for being a dog that hurts it's owner.
I carefully inspect my surroundings. And I see nothing that could be of use.
Suddenly the answer flashed trough my mind.
Now I know what I can do!!!
It might not be the best, the smartest one, but I think it has a high chance of working.
I just need to....

A (Not So) Simple Fetch Quest
Oh great hero! The evil Demon Lord has once again arisen to terrorise our lands, and we have summoned you to save our people! No, we don't want you to fight the demon lord! Of course not; we're the good guys! What sort of good guys kidnap people from other worlds and force them to take part in wars that have nothing to do with them? That would just be plain evil! We'd be no better than the demons! Katie, after her summoning by an excessively loud mage suddenly takes an unexpected twist, is sent off on a simple fetch quest, with a promise that she'll be back home in five minutes at most. She doesn't even need to leave the building. Alas, when a goddess' blessing causes her wish for an actual adventure to be taken rather more literally than she expected, she finds herself lost in a dark cave, far away from the sword she was supposed to acquire and far too close to a population of giant bugs. Still, at least she wished her life wasn't in any danger. Among other things. Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it. This is a dark litRPG adventure, both in terms of Katie accidentally wishing all the lights out, and also in that she loses as often as she wins, often with horrific and disturbing consequences. Luckily, Katie isn’t the sort of person to let a mere grizzly death or two get her down, and is prepared to try, try and try again to get her hands on the holy sword and finally complete her ‘simple’ fetch quest. Or perhaps—with a few resistance skills under her nightie—she might even come to enjoy losing. Not that she’d ever consider forgoing revenge, even if she did. I’ve ticked all the content warning checkboxes for this one. There’s no explicit sexual content, but there are enough references to justify the warning. Profanity happens rarely, but Katie isn’t averse to swearing when she gets particularly angry. As for gore/trauma, it doesn’t get much worse than the first few chapters, but there will be occasional chapters that have extra content warnings.

The cover is commisioned and done by: Artist: FatCatInTheBox ***** Before you lot bashes me up with my English etc., consider this: 1. This is my first novel. First conceptualized and written some 23 years ago. Only until last year that I did some improvisations and improvements to what I had kept in the dusty corner of my room all these while. This story sees the light of the day because I challenged myself, that's all. 2. English is the 6th language that I speak. And in RRL, I'm using British English mostly to write my story. 3. Easier said than done. Rather than subjecting me to subjective comments/reviews about the language, point it out and suggest an alternative. One or two would do just fine. It goes a long way. The Pledge - This story shall continue till it ends properly.

Illusory
There was a girl whose feelings changed the world around her, and with every step little smoke clouds emanated from her feet. Her soul pulled right out of her chest like a long, blue comet with a tail, and swirled around her body like a protective blue flame. When she walked in a tight space the very metal itself around her melted and shifted so that she was walking in a cage of blue light, a cage of her own devising.
