“ Amithebroker, but my friends call me Amy. And what is in the book?”

Terrance did not say anything and merely opened it and showed her. On the front page is a dickens and it began as a general description. She did not look impressed, but as pages started being turned her eyes grew wider and wider as to fill the size of her glasses. Eventually she got to the end and could only look at Terrace in astonishment.

“ How much effort did you put into learning about the weakest mob on the weakest floor? I didn’t even know everything in this book. I mean how did you find out which feathers are best for fletching arrows? How did you figure out how to almost guarantee rare crafting drops from harvesting?”

Terrance merely shrugged and pulled the book back. Amy reluctantly let it go.

“ It's only one mob.”

“ Well I got books like it on every mob on the first two floors and am working on the third right now.”

This time the fairy jaw hit the floor, that is because she fell to her knees and lost her balance and landed face first on the table.

“ You okay?”

“ Uhh... do you know how much those would be worth? With that kinda money I dont have to worry about rent this month.”

“ Rent?”

Amy quickly covers her mouth realizing what she said. After a moment she lowers her hands and sigh.

“ Yea, I play the game to earn money. I have not even set foot in the dungeon yet.”

Terrance just shrugs his shoulders.

“ Yea, I can top that. Been all the way down to the third floor, didn’t kill a single mob... technically.”

Amy looks at Terrance again and if she was not already on her chest from the last bombshell, she would be there this time. Just shaking her head at the thought, she gets back onto her knees before standing upright on the table again.

“ Alright so, you got all this info. Based on what you told me about getting to the third floor without killing mobs. You got some type of neutrality perk. Probably leading you to a whole mess of hidden quests too.

Now lets take a step back and I’ll ask again. What do you want from the group?”

Terrance shrugs and finishes off his own milkshake.

“ I figured it would be a good way to meet some like minded people. Never figured it would turn into a money thing, though it makes sense. Knowledge is power and people will pay well for both. However, I think all this info will be patched out, or at least most of it, if it ever gets out there. I mean it is kinda balance breaking.”

Amy makes a check mark with her hand before putting it to her chin.

“ True, nothing peeves the rng overlords off more than breaking their odds wide open. I’d have to make some IRL auctions for the info to get the biggest bang for the buck. Seventy thirty split my way?”

Terrance took a moment before shaking his head.

“ Nope, I might go halfies.”

“ Halfies? Who says halfies? Sixty forty, last offer.”

“ Halfies!”

Amy squints and Terrance matches it. After what amounted to ten seconds of mental showdown tension Amy raises her hands in the air.

“ Fine, half. But I want to look at all your books.”

Terrance nods and brings them out.

Hours passed in the Dicken Shack. More than once Terrance had to pay a meal for the house in order for them to stay. In fact the second time he did so he found out that it was twice as expensive as the first. Turns out a lot of players started listening in on him and Amy talking about the different mobs of the dungeon. It became quite obvious to him that she was using this to indirectly advertise the information. After all, they were talking about some of the rarer drops and not the actual methods of getting them. In addition to that was tips and tricks to grooming the player mount versions of mobs to boost their affection and performances. Something any avid saddle jockey of the track would want to know. Before long they all were kicked out as the restaurant was closing in order to prepare for the next day's sales. So they went back to Amy’s place. More because it was closer and not because his room was in a police station. Definitely not that.
