《Protect Humanity Project》4. This is a giant prison

Murphy was pacing back and forth. He saw someone coming back. “Did you find them? ” He asked eagerly
Guerin shook his head, paused, and gasped. “No... nowhere. We Were Afraid to ask, but the only good news is that the other teams probably didn’t find her either, or it would have been a disaster. ”
Murphy grimaced. “The terminal couldn’t be located once it was in the city, and now the entire continent is locked up here, and most of them are insane. Even if we agree not to hurt women, we’re afraid one or two of them will turn up... ”
Before he could finish, everyone turned pale, and Guerin winked. They looked at Peiji, who was standing there smoking a cigarette, and everyone could tell that the boss was very upset and the low pressure was starting to materialise.
But someone had to run into a gun.
“Captain Pei, you are so busy, you think you are an officer? ” A bear-shouldered man came, stomping his boots and heels on the floor, making the sound of Tatta, his eyes misshapen and his face murderous.
Tours stepped forward, outstretched his arms, and stopped the man. “Captain Montgomery, our boss is now... ”
“Am I talking to you? ” The man brushed away Tours, who stumbled and was held by Guerin.
Montgomery kicked on the iron railings with a loud thud, and he bared his teeth. “Captain Pei, you’ve been sticking out your hands so long lately that you dare to enter Lao Tzu’s territory. It seems like you didn’t take our third squad seriously. ”
The Peiji turned to him without expression. “I’m not in the mood to talk to you right now. ”
Montgomery stared for half a second, then laughed. He reached out and grabbed Peiji by the collar and pulled him in front of him, “You really think I gave you face, ” he said in a low voice. “You killed my brother, and you will pay for it. ”
The Peiji looked at him coldly. “I’ve told you many times, I had nothing to do with his death. ”
“You think we don’t know your shit? You Can Kill Your Own Department, My Brother’s a private, you’re involved! ... ”
Montgomery’s eyes are red, he’s got a Class A alienation gene, plus he’s from a Russian brown bear, and he’s a big, strong guy who stands a head above everyone else.
He threw a punch, but the expected blow to the head of the Peiji was not forthcoming, and his fist was intercepted. The hand was like a pair of pliers, and he could not move. Then he felt the Peiji kick against his stomach, and Montgomery crouched down and retched. He felt his lungs burst.
A cold voice sounded from the top of his head: “I only kill degenerates, not people. ”
When the sun went down, all the gates of District 12 were closed, and there was no entertainment for the people, except drinking and playing cards.
Peiji stubbed out his cigarette butt and stepped into the first lounge of Area B, the area closest to the north perimeter wall. Though he had a subconscious feeling that the young woman would never come, he could not rest assured.

The fifth squad made their way through the throng. Murphy and the others followed Peiji in silence. They sat down at a random table and asked for food and drink.
The little room behind the counter was the kitchen, and the slob wiped his hands on the greasy apron and laid several identical meals on the table with drooping eyelids.
Everyone here ate the same thing: brown bread, mashed potatoes, a small portion of chickpeas and bacon, and a cup of hot water. If you have extra points, you can buy alcohol.
The men in the neighborhood are quiet when they show up, which can be downright judgmental and argumentative.
Pei Jiquan when can not see, he stretched out his hand to open a piece of black bread with hot water to eat down, even if the food is rough also do not change color. Other people also eat and drink as usual, anyway those people are afraid to come over, only dare to pass the mouth.
District 12 is a special place where there is no administrative planning, no financial allocation, no normal military and administrative system. It’s more like a supermax than a district.
Criminals, captives, traitors, and bullies from all over Ovea, when sentenced to prison, are banished here to be prisoners for the rest of their lives.
Under these circumstances, the Peiji and his entourage are a special case, not petty criminals, but disgraced military officers who have come here for political reasons. Military personnel belong to a higher class, the average genetic talent is more than a + , which in the eyes of other low-level prisoners look very harsh.
“Captain PEI. ” A tall and straight man came up to the Peiji, “There are more and more degenerates coming from the center these days, ” he said. “Our teams are going out hunting together, and we’re getting equal points. Would you be interested? ”
This is the third team’s deputy captain, the Peiji looked at the distance to his remote point in the middle of Montgomery, indifferent: “I do not think the fifth team and the third team can cooperate peacefully, please find your team another partner. ”
The man froze for a moment, sneer: “That wish you good luck. ”
Pei Ji does not change his color, does not care what other people think of him. There are no good people in District 12, and if you’re not careful with the rest of them, you’re gonna regret it.
As night fell, the stars in the sky did not make the night any quieter.
As well as the power of genetic variation, the way wild animals think increasingly affects the human brain. They become irritable and irritable, which in turn increases the rate of social crime.
Just a moment ago, Moyan witnessed two men squabble and become monsters: one with a tail, the other with a wolf’s mouth and a bloody fight.
And, so far, she hasn’t seen a woman.
Years of experience in the end times have taught her that this is a dangerous world full of monsters and that it is important to find an opportunity to escape with supplies.
Under the cover of darkness, Moyan reached the corner of what appeared to be a lounge room. She waited, but the people there were so noisy that she guessed it was nearly ten o’clock in the evening, the men were still chattering away, not knowing what to argue about.

“You’re full of shit. Winsor is the number one goddess in ovea! ”
“Winsor’s been dead a long time, and now Le Le is number one! ”
“AH... The Day Le Le chose her betrothed, it broke my heart not to be there. ”
The men gathered in twos and threes. On the table in front of them were empty bottles and cans, reeking of alcohol. The owner of the food stand had his eyes closed on the counter, but Moyan knew he wasn’t asleep, and every now and then he would open one of his eyes and look around.
Her stomach was already throbbing, and she licked her dry, leathery lips and looked at the only food on the men’s Plate. They’re probably drunk, and they’re starting to talk crazy, and they’re losing consciousness bit by bit.
Moyan, who had buried herself in the darkness and waited for the moment when everyone would fall asleep, was patient.
After about ten more minutes, the last one fell on the table, they began to snore loudly, there was no one else in the lounge, and even the food vendor went back to bed.
Moyan stood up straight, lowered her hat, and moved quickly in that direction, her footsteps making no sound, like a cat in the night.
As she approached the table, the stench of wine and the stench of her body did not sway her, and the Moyan quickly picked up what was left of the table. She did not move the mud or the meat, but ate the brown bread, he didn’t even frown when he shoved hard, stony food into his mouth.
Food is not much, all over more than ten seconds, when she was holding water to retreat, do not know where a hand came out of nowhere, like a pincer grabbed her wrist.
The Moyan was startled, and she strained hard, but the difference in strength was like an insect trying to shake the tree, and the enemy would not budge. She looked back in horror, just in time to catch Peiji’s surprised eyes.
“You... ” before he could open his mouth, a fat man on the table showed signs of waking up, and without a second thought, the Peiji cut off his hand, and the Fat Man fell again with a thud on the table, this time in a coma.
Moyan was so terrified by his maneuver that she tried to run away, but her hungry and tired body made her limbs so heavy that she could not move.
Peiji looked at her face, stretched his left arm around her knee, and lifted her up effortlessly.
But his hold was so strange that Moyan was forced to sit sideways on his arm, and the man’s hard muscles tickled her like stones, as if holding a baby.
Seeing her hesitation, the Peiji said softly, “Don’t be afraid, I won’t Hurt You. ” But he strode out at his feet.
Moyan was being held by a strange man, his arms wrapped around her legs and barely able to move. His team had just saved her life, but now he was breathing down her nose and threatening her body, it made her heart beat faster. The Moyan knew that these people were probably not normal, or even human, and that they had every reason to fear them.
Pei Ji, without blushing or panting, held an adult in one hand all the way, and returned to the fifth squad’s resting place at an extremely fast speed. It’s also stacked on top of each other in small cells, a small space that is divided into dozens of smaller, but relatively uncluttered, rooms that are larger in the Peiji.
He laid the maiden down on the bed, and crouched down before her.
Moyan, still wearing her stolen cap, kept her head down, like an angry cat, her fist clenched, as if she were about to jump up and scratch him.
But that didn’t stop her from drawing attention to herself. Her breath, the little patches of skin she had uncovered, the hair that had fallen from her cheeks, all captured the attention of others.
Peiji took a deep breath and rolled his Adam’s apple, but he couldn’t resist.
He stood up and approached the girl, who seemed startled by his gesture. His eyes were wide and he pulled a delicate ring knife out of his sleeve.
The Peiji easily controlled her... her wrists were surprisingly slender.
“I’m sorry, I just want to be sure of your scent, ” whispered the Peiji, who knew that his behavior at the moment would be offensive to any girl who didn’t like flirtatious men.
A genetically mismatched human can sniff out the genetic and ethnic origins of others, and Peiji has convinced himself that it’s hard not to lose focus when he approaches.
His eyes fell upon the slender white neck, and the scent of the maiden fragrant; pleasant smelling welled up on the tip of his nose, and, curiously, he did not distinguish any of the features of the animal gene, it’s not a water walker, a land animal, a reptile, or a bird or an insect.
“Where are you from? You Don’t have a barcode behind your ear, ” the Peiji said softly, watching her tremble like a small animal, then her ears turned red.
Moyan didn’t want to talk to him at all, but she turned her head and left him with the back of his head.
The pressure was especially intense when she was pinned down by such a tall man, especially since he was holding her hands, and the Moyan would have punched him if he hadn’t saved their lives.
Just as they were “Flirting, ” the door was opened with a clattering sound, and Murphy and the others crowded into the doorway.
“Boss, you found... ”
The words suddenly stop, they see two people’s posture, gape, chin fell to the ground.

Tales From the Terran Republic
We tried, you know… We really did. We tried so hard to be… better… We actually were better once. No, seriously. We were enlightened, generous, peaceful… Stop laughing! We were! We were peaceful, dammit! No, I’m not “tugging your winglets.” It’s true! Look, if you’re going to be like that, I’ll just push the launch button right now. See ya, don’t wanna be… Oh, you ARE interested after all? Ok. Hey, I just got word that your captain will be ok. We were able to get him into a med pod quick enough… Of course, we tried to save him. Just what sort of people do you think we are?... Now that was harsh… completely accurate, mind you… but harsh. Anyway, like I was saying, we were a prosperous, peaceful people, and war had been nothing but a distant memory for over five hundred years before it happened... Before Yellowstone happened! You don’t mean to tell me that you didn’t know about that… massive supervolcano? Blew the Hell out of our planet? Two years where nothing grew?… Anyway, that’s what started it, the Sol Wars… Oh, you have heard about those, huh? Well, needless to say, all that enlightened, generous, and peaceful didn’t exactly make it through the two years of complete famine and the wars that followed… Maybe it’s more accurate to say the enlightened, generous, and peaceful among us didn’t survive… (laughs)… You’re right. It does explain a lot, doesn’t it? Probably for the best, though. “Enlightened” and “peaceful” aren’t really all that useful out here in the galaxy at large, are they? That reminds me; thanks for the ship. You guys did a great job with this one. Oh, don’t be like that. At least it was us what got you and not one of the really messed groups like the Harlequin or the Black Angels. We’re just going to take your shit. It could be worse… trust me... Well, anyway, we loaded the life pods down with some good food, and you guys can drink alcohol, right? We put in a couple of fifths in there, too. It’s about forty percent ethanol, so be warned. Most species will want to dilute that. We’ll drop your wounded off somewhere safe once they are stable. Your fleet patrols this area fairly regularly, and we’ll drop the distress beacon right before we jump… Well, It’s been fun and no hard feelings, right?… Oh, you want to know some more? Sure. I got time to kill… Let me tell you about this one pirate and her crew. They’re Terran scum, but they are still… Why do we hate the Terrans? Hoo Boy… How much time you got? *** It’s the thirty-second century, and humanity is now part of a galactic civilization comprised of hundreds of worlds. Humanity has been savaged by natural disaster and war and has been fractured into several separate populations, all of which loathe each other (some things never change). This is a gritty drama-driven rambling tale that swings between action, drama, horror, and plenty of very, very dark comedy. Warning: contains adult situations, absolutely horrible language, bathroom humor, implied ultra-violence, actual ultra-violence, drugs, alcohol, pirates, mercs, xeno prostitutes, moral ambiguity, deranged AI's with identity issues, giant commie space slugs, and a poor little frog girl who just wants to sell coffee. Updates twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday. *** Note: This story can get rough. Those warning tags? They aren't for show. I recently received a review and as a result I want to make one thing clear. Portraying something is NOT endorsing it! Many "heavy" topics are touched upon and just because a character says or does something does not imply that the author feels the same way. I selected the "Anti-Hero Lead" and "Villainous Lead" tags for a reason. Rule number one of this story is "no good guys". A good description of the story is, "bad people doing bad things to worse people". There are a few good characters, here and there, but they are the exception to the rule. If you want a hard-hitting, exciting, gritty sci-fi story that doesn't pull any punches, or shies away from "difficult" concepts, welcome! If you are set on a pure and noble knight that runs around and slays conveniently evil monsters and rescues totally innocent princesses... or your sensibilities are easily offended... You're not going to be happy with this one.
8 682Returning to a New Era
“You first caught my attention when you stole the Giant’s Sovereignty. “I took note of your ability when you slew the King of Monsters. “And I found myself in awe after seeing you—” “Can you spare me the monologue? Just get me home, you tentacle porn bastard.” “…Okay.” When one leaves, one must also return; but what if the world you left was different from when you left? This is the story of a Returner’s Return to a New Era. It was Earth, but it seemed more foreign than the otherworld he returned from. I do not own the art on the cover. Schedule for upload: Wednesday and Sunday [Days still not specified]

8 322The Errant Otherworlder Watanabe
“In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes and trucks whom transport men to other worlds.” Meet our titular protagonist Haruto Watanabe, a man who has all the markings of a good protagonist for a generic portal fantasy story. As an overworked office worker, to escape from the grips of crippling capitalist alienation, he had taken up to reading many stories where young men like him were transported to other worlds and enjoyed their lives at a most leisurely pace. Armed with genre-awareness and (what he believes to be) a marketable personality which would make him an easy audience self-insert, he longed for the day the isekai express would take him to his long-awaited adventure to another world. When the fateful day came, where the fair yet harsh mistress that is the fabled truck took Watanabe on one last date to the other side, he was most ready to escape his previous life, ready to embark on an errant so great he’d be most overpowered, his heroics so exceptional and his harem so vast that they would barely fit ten or twenty volumes of an overly long novel made by a desperate author looking for quick cash. Lo and behold however, Watanabe instead found himself in a low fantasy world which lacked severely in the department of any game-like systems, cheat skills or easily charmed damsels in distress. In a setting so antithetical to his established genre savviness or any attempts at power fantasy, how will a man like Watanabe, lacking in strength, wits and courage, manage to survive in a land most foreign to him? This is my first time trying to share to the wider world what I’ve written, and I hope you’ll enjoy reading the errantry of Watanabe as much as I enjoy writing about them. I'll be posting one chapter per week on Sundays, along with extra chapters whenever I get the chance to write more than usual.
