《Dream Theater》Chapter 34

The woods were strange, he had never been there before. He had obliviously read about trees and woods in the past but he never walked through one. It seemed such an alien experience, all of those sounds, all of those animals walking, all of this spontaneity, confused him.
There were waterfalls and small hideout in the wilds, all of them inhabited. No one came here. School had taught people to fear and hate the wild.
> he remember his school mates saying.
“What a bunch of idiots,” Pxan thought.
After several hours of walking, he was exhausted, the house was still a few kilometres of from there, and he was finishing supplies. After a few minutes, he saw a big tower overlooking all the wilderness surrounding it. It was made in a strange black metal, maybe that was stone, he didn’t know.
Coming closer he discovered that was a mansion, protected by a small moat and some water. There weren’t even wires or walls there. On one of the entrances, he saw a sign
> then he read in another paint>
“Oh. I guest that I have no choice”
He knocked at the door and waited a few seconds, the door opened and something was coming closer > said a voice from behind him, he turned and jumped in fear, when that thing arrived behind him. He turned back to see that was an Unhelm with a few extra arms and layers of metal. He was paralyzed in fear for a few seconds.
>
Pxan stood there, unsure of what to do. In the end, he decided to advance. When he entered the house it was already too late to turn back, the door closed behind him, several Unhelm had their eyes on him. One of them, a completely black and clean one was advancing towards him > he said in a too friendly tone < Pxan advanced timidly through the wooden house with decorations of another era. The paintings were strange, the few books that he saw were even stranger, everything there screamed alien and strange. If this was the house of a common man he would have been arrested and tortured by the inquisition immediately, everything there screamed blasphemy and weirdness. The Unhelm sat > Advertisement

This is the tale of a man named Michael, or Mika for those who knew him in his last days. Michael was not a very interesting man, nor had a very interesting life, some would argue he didn't had a life at all, at least not up to the beginning of his journey on a strange new land. This is the story of how such a man helped shape a whole universe.

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.
