30th Day of the 31st Cycle of Luna

Somewhere in the frontier 1 cycle away from Kadia..

"This is good place to start a new frontier town. Near river for fresh clean water supply and between two mountains. This would make a good mountain pass town. We shall expand the borders of our kingdom." as Prince Kymar pointed at the map while the make a rest at the pass. "Ser Price, tell the people that we got to settle here. Have them make clear the trees here." he ordered the knight.

"By your will, Your Grace." the knight then went to a man, stock in build. The man was carrying with him a tool box on his left hand and a parchment on the other. Then the man set the tool box on the ground and open the rolled up parchment consulting the knight. Prince Kymar could eye what's in the parchment. It was some kind of an urban planning. Besides being an expedition to secure the Relic the Oracle had envisioned, this also had become and expedition to secure more lands in the frontier.

After talking to the man who seems to be an engineer, Sir Price returned to the Prince. "Your Grace, I have relayed your wishes to Henselt, the Engineer. They will start the soonest their equipment is discarded from the carts. Then I will also leave to them a small contingent of Firstborns and the 4th Infantry Company and 3rd Bow Company with the levied forces as per your order, Your Grace. They should provide ample defense."

"Good job, Ser Price. Have any of the scouts made it here yet?" asked the prince.

"Two parties have made it here, Arslan, Liv, come here!" replied Sir Price and then he gestured for two individuals to come where their prince.

""YOUR GRACE!!"" the two hooded individuals saluted. One was a black haired gentleman, Arslan, while the other was a brown haired lass, Liv.

Pointing at the map they made their report, "Here sire," Liv was pointing at the marker that is closest one to the south. "this here are temple ruins, from what I had surveyed. Lots of Lizardmen litter the area we didn't get close enough to inspect a further."

"Could it be the site, Your Grace?" Sir Price chimed in after hearing the report.

"We cannot make any assumptions yet. Let us hear Arslan's report." replied the prince then turns to look at Arslan.

"Here sire, is also a temple ruins. Crawling with lizardmen too, it seemed like they made it into a settlement. We were able scout what looks liked a bustling market there. We then circled a few bit more but we came too close to making contact with a patrolling unit but were lucky enough to clear out stealthily."

"Good job everyone. Have your men take a rest here. We'll be making a settlement here and I and the Firstborns will continue. After you're recuperated, come after us. Leave one to inform the rest of the scouting parties. And do the same, make them come after us. We will still need reconnaissance."

""YES YOU GRACE! BY YOUR LEAVE, SIRE!"" Arslan and Liv saluted.

"Dismiss." Prince Kymar responded so then turned to Sir Price. "What do you make of it, Ser Price?" he inquired for suggestion from his aide.

"The first scouting party that reported did not mention any Lizardmen in the dungeon that the Imperials had discovered, but by the close proximity of the sites we might as well assume that the Lizardmen had something to do with the dungeon too. And if that's the case.. we may be able to approach these matters diplomatically." explained the knight. "What do you think Sire?"

"It is plausible. And if the dungeon really is also in the care of the Lizardmen before the Imperials got there we could use that to our advantage. Maybe we can temporarily ally with the Lizardmen and drive off the Imperials. And we might also need to ask permission to settle here if they are the ones lording these lands." suggest the prince pondering many possible scenarios in his head.

"That is certainly a great idea Sire. I shall then take with us someone verse in diplomacy. By your leave, Sire." said Sir Price then the prince just simply nodded and the knight went on his way to get a well verse diplomat.

The prince then looked into the horizon. In the far off distance, the cloud of fog that had been engulfing this frontier region only know as the Andorra to only the elves and dark elves, had been clearing up little by little everyday. But still the strong illusion makes the whole region dangerous. Thankfully, they had brought with them a magical lamp artifact that wards off illusion magic. The said artifact was just recently developed by the elves of the northern lands and were made available to the public. Their motive in doing so were unknown to humans and other civilized race. This are such major artifacts that could possible help thwart assassination. But with the limited supply of these lamps made it almost impossible to implement on an entire castle. But they were able to procure 3 of them. The kingdom's mages were on the haste to uncover the makings of these artifacts.

Prince Kymar only hoped that interaction with the Lizardmen would not be but another impediment. There is no need to shed any more of Uttramar's blood. They must make ally with anyone that could help them oppose the Cyrenic Empire.

Zombile(Lv 30) attack missed Dire Wolf(Lv 64)!

A zombie with a bulging abdomen(which seemed to be an Uncommon monster) vomited, in a projectile manner, at the alpha but it just jumped sideways to avoid the projectile. And then went in again to attack the Zombile. The zombie continued to bombarding the alpha with its projectile vomit, it may be poisonous, or more like TOXIC.

Zombile(Lv 30) has been destroyed!

The Zombile, which seems to lead this horde of zombies were finally destroyed. But the battle at the hallway still continues. The wolves proved to be to agile for these slowpokes to even cause serious damage. With the hordes number dwindling down to near half their size, it became much much more easier for the pack. Although some zombies manage to break through, but Isshin who was standing by in the back lines destroyed them with a single hit using his wooden sword.

Warning! Dungeon Invasion Ongoing!

Even though the Zombile got destroyed already, the remaining zombies still continued to claw their way in to the center inside the mountain. The pack slowly backing away with every sidesteps continued to dwindle the horde of the unliving. With how slow or maybe rather how agile for the zombies the wolves are, the wolves are sustaining, to a virtually, no damage at all. The rats too tried to contribute in any ways they can, but try as they might, they cause no real damage to these unliving beings

Calculating total rewards...

Rewards

+ 550 Dungeon Points

+ 1043 Exp Points

With the points that I gained this time around, I now have 14,230 points. Before the fairy have unlock the SYSTEM, I already got 13,680 points. I did not get any notification of that, or how I got them. However, I surmised that it would have to do with the summoning of Isshin and the subjugation of all my minions. I have deduced that only through "Influence" subjugation would I be able to gain Dungeon Points. So it got me thinking how much points would I get if I completely subjugates the rat colony. I still have not done that. But I will get to it. 'For now, let me celebrate this victory.'

The Exp Points were solely all mine, though it still did not give me enough to get me to level 21. Although the exp points were only mine does not mean that the wolves and Isshin did not get any. They did, for all the zombies they destroyed they also got exp points for that. So it's all great.

Isshin also gained the Sword Mastery(Passive) Skill. But he actually got it from swinging the wooden sword a few thousand times in a single day.

The zombies also dropped some loots. I had Isshin get a trouser from the loot. They were all trash except for some mana stones, I then absorbed all the loot. And it gave me bunch of trash blue prints. That's a plus for now. I tried to make some of them but I failed. The SYSTEM prompted me that I need some certain skills to actually produce actual items lik; TAILORING and ARMOR SMITHING. 'Haaaa.. so frustrating with all these requirements..' It explains why I can't also reproduce the wooden sword that Isshin made even though I already have its blue print. I still need the WEAPON SMITHING skill. 'But what would the SMITHY be used for? Is it actually also needed for me to be able to produce armors and weapons? Damn, the SYSTEM really limits one's self huh.. 'It would've been better if the SYSTEM was down(SYSTEM OF A DOWN), just like before.. Oh well..'

"Yaaaay!!!" while all of that was going on in my mind, the fairy celebrated with the victory. "Aren't they great?!" hovering over the pack, especially over the alpha. Some of the wolf went to the entrance to check if there's anymore of these unlivings. Thankfully there are no more.

"That was some great team work from this pack. They all coordinated nicely! I can only see great achievements from this!" it exclaimed.

'Anyway... I forgot to ask... are you... a HE or a SHE?' this has been bothering me since it arrived.

"WHAT?! Of course I'm a SHE! What else could I be?" I retorted looking annoyed by my out of the blue, out of situation, question.

'Okay, at least now I know and won't be confused.'

"You are forgiven" she said even though I did not apologize whatsoever, but I let it go nonetheless. There are other matters at hand that's more important than to quarrel with the tiny little thing. "So? Have you decided which of the starting creatures you would take?"

We're back to the matter at hand..

'Yes, I think goblins would be better for now. Maybe they would pair up good with the wolves.' I have already thought about this when I first saw the goblin blue print. I had seen goblin wolf riders before. Although the dungeon might not be a good place for a mobile cavalry, they pretty much would give a surprise for any intruders.

Blue Print Acquired: Goblin

With that, I now have a "Starting" monster.

'Now, what other choices I have unlocked for my Level 5 unlocks?' I inquired. Then the fairy, she, snapped her tiny fingers and reached, again, inside her pouch and pulled new parchments. Now I just controlled the mana and have the parchment hover in front of the pedestal.

Goblin Wolf Rider

"With access to wolves. It is now possible to summon wolf riders."

And sure enough there it was, a Goblin Wolf Rider blue print. It was only a Common type though. Not so very special. The previous choices of Kobold and Lesser Golem were back in the choices, as well as the Wolf. 'I might pass on the rider actually..'

Homunculus(Human Variant)

"A creature created with the likeness of Humans."

'Well well well.. what do we have here?' I smirked inside.

"Well that should make sense since you've already manage to create one. Although the one you created is far more, far far more superior. Truly makes him unique." the fairy said as she was also looking at the parchment. Makes me think how truly special Isshin is..

Rabid Wolf

"One of the evolve form of the wolf."

'Meh'

Yeah, they were all pretty meh except for the Homunculus one. 'I guess there's not much of a choice really..'

'I pick the Homunculus blue print.'

Blue Print Acquired: Homunculus(Human Variant)

'I might need to check the "Dungeon Store" later. But I wanna try summoning a Homunculus first. Another Isshin? Nah. There could only be one Isshin.'
