"Well give an old man his due, I am impressed that you lot are still coming back to this tree on the mound. To think that you young ones want to listen to an old man pontificate about his youth. By the by, don't use big words to sound smart because it will just annoy everyone around you."

"It admitidly warms an Old Mans heart that so many would come to listen to me speak in such a way. It is my hope that the stories from my youth will help you to be better then you are now. That they will inspire you to do something great and find your destiny!"

"Already you have started a project that will help many of the next generation. You are following in the foot steps of the Greats and will blaze the trail onward, ever onward. I hope I live long enough to see what you become. To see how bright your flames will burn and what you will acomplish."

"For today, how about the time I ended up in Egypt and went along the old paths that our fore fathers used. It was after we got off the ship and unloaded the supplies for those that needed them most."

With a local guide I traveled by night mostly. It allowed us to escape the heat and to have a better idea of where we were going by following the stars. During the day you have to know what time it is and where the sun is in the sky if you want to get around but a night you only have to deal with the cold and the thing that would hunt in the dark. Far better to travel with a view of the stars then to swelter in the heat.

The sunrises and sunsets over the dunes was breath taking. On one nice night my guide and I sat on top of one large sand dune and just watched the sky. We took a great amount of time to do so but it was worth it to see the serenity of the heavens. We took to telling stories during that time which quickly spread to all the time that we could spend speaking.

We became fast friends during that trip and I spent a further 5 years just travling around with him. Eventually I left the country and did not return until the funeral of my dear friend, though we kept in contact with each other and sent the tales of what shanagians we got up to. His wife and kids did not meet me until that day but 12 years back. That was the first time that I had made the journey back there. It just seemed like there was always time to do it next year. I regret putting off the meetings with my friend even if he did understand and talk to me regulerly.
