"So you have come back to hear another tale from my youth young man? Very well, sit on down and we will see what an old man of 93 years can remember from so long ago."

"Now I've told you of being lost so how about a story of fun and mirth to start the day child. You see when we where about 10 years old we had decided to do some fool thing or another just about every day and on this day we decided to see how fast we could go on our bikes."

Down near the lake there is a road that goes down hill pretty steep. At the bottom is a old pier if it still stands and on the end of it we built a ramp. That is important you see for without it we could never have even dreamed to measure how much air we cought.

So we parked our bikes at the very top of the hill and waited for the wind to be at our backs, then when it blew in our favor we were off. Racing down the hill towards the pier and never once, even for a second letting off of the speed. Gravity had a hold of us and the wind battered us but we never once stoped going down the hill. We just raced on and when we got to the pier we got ready for the biggest splash of our lives.

We flew down the pier one after the other just going as fast as could be and then the ramp came into view. Now at this point I should mention that there really was no way we could stop even if we wanted to try and do so. It was either we wipe out on the boardwalk or hit the water at full speed. So if you can't possibly stop you can at least go just a little bit faster then before right. Well it turns out that bikes were less willing then we were because the barings in my pedals broke right near the end. I will tell you that my life flashed before my eyes and I couldn't help but grin at one well lived even at such a young age. Up the ramp I went and at the very arc of my jump I decided to cannon ball into the water. We spent the rest of the day diving to get our bikes back but it was worth it to remember the story so vividaly after 83 long years.
