EPISODE 26_ YOUR PARENTS

Catherine's POV:

I followed uncle inside his office and closed the door behind me.

I wonder why he wanted to talk to me.

What could be so important that couldn't wait until I get back from school? I'm nervous and anxious at the say time.

Man, this is f**ked up.

"Sit down." He told me. I pulled out a chair and placed my big ass on it.

"I want to talk to you about your parents." He said.

My parents?

We haven't talk about anything relating to my parents ever since after I woke up from coma.

What could be the reason why my parents get brought up?

"What's about them?" I asked.

"You'll be 18 next month, I feel like it is time for you to know what happened to your parents and about your future." He said all of a sudden.

I don't want to hear this now. I want to go to school and write my exams without any issue.

Hearing something from the past, something that put me in the position I am today will damage my concentration, and without my concentration then I'm gone.

I am so gone.

I wouldn't stand a chance if I hear this things.

"Can this be prosponed? You see, uncle. I have exams today. This will be bad for me if it continues."

Exam was tough but thankfully I studied hard for it.

After exams I went to the cafeteria with Talia to eat our lunch and I saw Anitra there, he was walking towards my direction.

I had no idea if Ace have someone on me. I wouldn't be surprised if he does. Anitra smiled at me and I smiled back nervously.

"You are creating problems for yourself, Catherine. I don't understand why you're doing this." Talia told me as we sat down around our table.

I sighed softly and glanced around the cafeteria.

"What do you want me to do? He keeps pestering me. I'm not the cause of his problems with Ace." I responded. Talia shook her head and continued eating her food.

"Will you come to my house today? I have to babysit my younger sister since my parents are going out tonight."

I don't know if my uncle will let me but I'll try.

"I'll try and see if I can, though I'm not making any promises." I told her.

"I'll be counting on that."

When I got home I went to the grocery store and bought some groceries and then prepared dinner.

After uncle and Vivian came back from work and taken their bath, we ate dinner.

And then the discussion begins.

"Your father killed someone." Uncle told me.

He said my father killed someone.

I can't remember anything but I don't believe that the man whose bloodline I share killed someone.

It just doesn't make sense.

It makes no sense to me and I don't believe it either.

How can I? I just can't. Can't. Never.

"How? I don't understand. You said my father was kind just two years ago so how did he suddenly turned into a killer?" I asked in confusion.

My uncle grabbed his glass of wine and sip on it. I so much want to smash that glass off his hand.

"It was an accident which took his life and that of the person he hit and also landed you in a coma." He told me.

My head hurts. I don't understand. I can't remember anything.

I can't remember any fucking thing and it hurts!

Why can't I remember? I want to remember what happened.

"The...... The person died and my father too?" I questioned.

"Yes, the problem wasn't the he died,the problem was that everything he ever worked for was confiscated by the wife of the man he killed."

I seriously hates the word ' he killed' .

It was an accident, why should my father be blamed for it? I am upset on his behalf.

"That is cruel, it wasn't intentional. What beast will take over a man's whole sweat because of a mistake?" I asked.

I am sad for the man that died. I'm sad for his family but my father died too!

"Your father killed the husband of senator Hampton."

Senator Hampton? That name rings a bell.

Hampton.

I remember Talia telling me that Ace is senator Hampton's son.

I nearly fell out of my chair in shock.

He...... I..... My......

Oh my goodness.

Was that the reason?

Was that the reason he keeps bullying me? Was that the reason he treats me the way he does?

"No. It wasn't his fault. He died too. It wasn't his fault." I mumbled.

It wasn't father's fault!

Vivian laughed and threw her head back. "I don't know why you'd say that when you remember absolutely nothing. Your father was a killer. Take it or leave it. You are lucky that senator Hampton knows nothing about you." She said.

I hate this.

I...... I was having mental breakdown trying to understand all the new information I just heard about my father.

I know about my father but what happened to my mother?

"And my mother?" I inquired.

"Probably whoring around Colombia, your father divorced your mother a few years after you were born. Who knows if she's dead or not. I didn't care to find out." My uncle said and stood up from the chair.

"Be grateful that you're here. Imagine your mother being a white and your father a killer? I wouldn't talk much." Vivian said and smirked proudly.

When did my life became like this? Just when did my life turned into a twilight zone?

Just when and how?

If Ace knows that I'm who I am then he's doing this for revenge and if he doesn't know then he must have another reason.

I am in a huge trouble.

I am sick.

I checked my phone and it was just 7:30 p. m. I need to talk to someone. Preferably Talia.
