《Room Mates (NaLu)》Chapter 7 ~ The Project

My face was burried into a fluffy quilt and legs wrapped around a very warm pillow. Mmm~ Toastie. I wrapped my arms around the pillow tightly and dug my head deeper into the quilt. I'm so warm. This is great.
I shuffled a little closer to the pillow. It groaned. I smiled.
Wait. What? Rewind.
The pillow groaned? Uhm. WHAT. Pillows don't talk?
My eyes shot open and I slowy lifted my head from the grasps of the quilt.
My heart started to beat faster and my face reddened at the sight of a sleeping someone infront of me. Natsu.
I shook my head. Who does he think he is getting in to my bed during the night? This is just ridiculous!
"GET OUT OF MY BED BAKA, STUPID PLAY BOY!" D:
~Lucy Kick!
Yep. That'll teach him.
"Ow! What the hell Lucy?!" Shouted the now upside-down, sat on head, back up the wall, Natsu.
I looked around the room in sudden realisation. Crap.
"Oh my God Natsu!" I ran over to him and helped him get up. "I'm so sorry I forgot where I was!"
We now stood facing eachother, my face red with embarrasment and Natsu bent in half cackling with laughter.
"That's some kick you've got there." He said once he sobered up from laughing. "Just use it on the enemy next time."
Phah. You're the enemy, playboy.
I laughed and made my way to my own room.
Sitting on the edge of my bed, I looked at the clock sat on my desk. 06:04am.
How did I wake up this early? Ugh.
Memories from the attack yesterday suddenly flooded into my mind. I quickly shook my head trying to get them out.
My eyes lay on some papers that Mira had printed for me when I signed in.
I got up and sat at a wooden chair by my desk and scanned through the papers. Ahh. Todays timetable.
Hmm. Two subjects. One lecture.. and the other one doesn't say? I wonder what it is...
Knock Knock~
My door. Ugh. Just ignore it Lucy. I continued to look through my time table for the rest of the week.
Knock Knock Knock~
"Lucee?"
The knocking continued.
Knock Knock Knock Knock
Oh My God.
Knock Knock
I swear.
Knock Knock Knock
I will kill you.
Knock
Is he trying to annoying me?
"Come on Lucy" He said, dragging the 'ee' in my name. I'm pretty sure steam was coming out of my ears from the loud noises coming from my door.
I got up and forcefully ripped open the door, nearly tearing it from the hinges.
I gave him a sharp look. Puncturing his eyes with mine.
"What." I spat; acting angrier than I really was.
"Uhm, I-I was just wondering what subjects you had today?" He stuttered, looking a little frightened. Yeh? Well don't annoy me mate.

I calmed myself.
"English and one with Mr. Guildarts but I don't know what it actually is?" I replied, hoping he would have an answer.
"Oh so you have that too hmm? Guildarts basically does this class every year. You only have it twice. One at the beggining of the year and one at the end." He said simply, leaning on the doorframe.
"He gives you a project to do throughout the year and you hand it in on the last day."
"Oh right, that's new..." I said quietley, more to myself than him.
Our conversation soon ended, I ate breakfast, got changed and eventually left for my first lesson.
I found the room with ease made my way to the middle of the large room and sat in an empty chair. Students sat and talked with eachother all around, waiting for the professor to appear. I grabbed my laptop out of my bag and placed it in my desk.
The rooms chatter quieted to mumbles and eventually silence. I looked forward towards the platform ahead. On the back wall was a whiteboard with a projector further ahead in the ceiling. On the floor stood a microphone and a stand infront. Behined the stand stood a tall lady, she was pale and had dyed, white hair. She looked young and knowledgable.
"Hello class, I'm your professor Miss. Charle." Her voice was articulate and it echoed through the room. "Today I will be giving you a lecture on English Terminology and its uses."
As the lecture went on I wrote many notes. Around nearly 2 hours she ended and we were all dismissed.
According to my stomach is was lunch time. I checked my phone to see that it was nearly 1 o'clock.
Yes! Food time! My stomach groaned with happiness. I patted him.
"Don't worry tummy, you'll be fed soon."
I filed through students, travelled past buildings and finally broke through to the cafeteria. A quick scan of the area and my eyes landed on my friends. I made my way towards them and took and empty seat between Erza and Levy.
"Hey guys" I chimed.
An array of 'Hi's and 'Hello's were said back from Erza, Gray, a familiar pinkette and the others.
"So Lu, how was your first Lecture? Levy asked me, sounding excited.
"It was okay, mostly re-capping on things I already knew" I replied.
"Who was your professor?" Asked Gray, who was sat oppisite me.
"Ermm I think her name was Miss. Charle." I replied.
"Oooh I heard her and Mr. Happy have been kanoodling for some time now" Natsu joined the conversation. Un-invited might I add.
"What the hell does 'kanoodling' even mean Flame Brain?" Flame brain?
"Shut up Ice Freak!" Ice Freak? Wha?

"Wanna go?" Shouted Natsu angrily, getting out of his chair and making his way over to Gray. I sat there zoned out trying to understand the meaning of these weird names.
Gray jumped from his seat and stood in a fighting stance ahead of Natsu.
Natsu swung his fist towards Gray and stopped just a milimetre short from his face as a loud voice boomed through the room.
"STOP THIS AT ONCE!" Shouted Erza, a dark aura surrounding her.
"AYE!" Gray and Natsu said in unison, sweat dripping off their faces and their bodied shaking.
I leaned to the side and whispered in Levys ear, who, let me say, was totally un-fased by what ever just happened.
"Uhm, what was that?" I squeaked.
"Oh nothing, Gray and Natsu do that a lot and it gets Erza quiete angry." She replied facing forward, eyes on the show.
"Anyway, lets go and get some food." She said.
My stomach grumbled. Finally!
After me and Levy bought some food, we made our way back to the table and sat once again. I dug into my hot dog with extra cheese and chillies ontop. Conversations striked up about lessons, food and on going parties.
"I have a great idea everyone!" Said Erza, who went back to her usual self as if nothing happened after eating some strawberry cake.
"Lets have a sleepover at my dorm!"
"Yeh that sounds fun!" Said Jellal eagerly.
"Yes... this is perfect" whispered Mira under her breath. An evil grin over took her features. "Yes..."
"A week tomorrow!" Stated Erza and we all nodded.
The end of lunch bell eventually rang leaving us with around 5 minutes to get to our next class. All of the year had the 'project' class and luckily most of my friends were in mine.
Me and Levy walked side by side, Erza and Mira behined along with the boys. We fished through students and made our way to Building B, Room 4.
We entered the large classroom containing singular seats and desks. One wall was glass, looking out into the schools gardens. Eventually everyone sat. I ended up between Natsu, who was next to the glass wall, and Levy, who was next to Gajeel.
A tall man with dark brown hair stood at the front of the classroom. His face overgrown with stubble and his eyes tired.
"Class." Guilarts deep voice chorused through the room leaving a painful silence.
"Some of you may know, as you have done this in previous years, this class is about teamwork and friendship."
He rolled his eyes as he spoke, seeming very bored by the subject.
"You will choose a partner and together you will make a scrapbook presenting your friendships and moments throughout the year."
He went on to descibe the rules, things the projects must contain and then told us to choose our partners, collect a book, then class will be dismissed. I looked around the room, suddenly realising I had no one to go with. Levy had teamed with Gajeel, Erza with Jellal, Mira with another girl who had long brown hair and brown eyes, I think her name was Cana, and lastly Gray, who was with a girl with long blue hair that was curled up from the ends. She looked nice. I wonder who she is...
My problem arose again as I realised I still had no one to go with. Crap.
There is one person left... I turned to my right and looked at Natsu. Wow. I rolled my eyes and laughed. There Natsu sat, head on his desk making little snoring sounds. I giggled as I stared at him. What a loser. I leant over and poked his cheek.
"NATSU!" I yelled in his ear making him jump back in his seat, nearly falling off.
His face was pricless.. Damn if only I could have but that in the scrapbook.
"What was that for!" Natsu shouted. He looked tired but mostly shocked.
I sobered up from my laughter and wiped away a few tears that escaped my eyes.
"That's what happens when you sleep in class Playboy" I retorted. "Anyway, we have to be partners for the project... sadly" I mumbled the last part.
"Oh right, how come?" He asked, looking like he could fall asleep any second.
"Well firstly you were sleeping... and well everyone else is already partnered up"
"Okay then, we can start on it tonight"
I was a little taken back by his 'eagerness' to start to soon but theres no harm in that so I agreed and he quickly put his head back on the table to sleep. I rolled my eyes, grabbed a book and was dismissed.
I waited for Levy outside the doorway and we started to walk to the doors together.
"So who was that girl that was with Gray?" I asked her.
"Oh she's called Juvia, she's captain of the swimteam I think" Levy replied as we exited the building.
"That's cool. Maybe we should invite her to the sleepover? I guess it would be good for Grays project too." I suggested. We entered the doors and made our way to the elevator pressing the button to out floor
"Yeh that sounds good I'll text Erza" I fished my keys from my back and opened my dorm, Levy doing the same.
"See ya later Lev!" I shouted to the next door.
"Bye Lu-chan!".
