《Emerald》29

"I'm dying..." I groaned as I rested my head on my desk.
The light burned my eyes ,and my head throbbed.
"Like I always say, you never learn." Hermione laughed, "when you came back you weren't really drunk."
"I'm a little out of practice, give me a few weeks." I shielded the light from my eyes.
A hand grabbed the back of my head, lifting it up by my hair.
I winced in pain.
"Someone have too much... pumpkin juice last night." Snape said crouching down by my desk.
His slow deep voice echoed in my head.
"I guess so..." I winced at the pain. Class hadn't even started yet, people were just beginning to file into the room.
Snape let go of my hair, letting my head drop.
It slapped on the desk, making the pounding head ache ten times worse.
Snape walked over to his desk quickly, and grabbed a small brown vile.
Snape quickly walked back, and set it next to my hand.
"Drink this, quickly. I hope I won't have to ever give you another one." He snapped, as he walked to the front of the classroom.
I quickly popped the top off, and swallowed the liquid in one gulp.
"That tastes like garbage." I gagged.
It really did taste like trash.
I could feel it travel down my throat, and into my stomach.
It instantly cured my hang over.
Snape actually helped me?
...
As the DA practiced their spells, I watched the clock hit 9:01 pm.
I couldn't leave, without someone following me or asking questions.
Expesually on the first day of us practicing.
It was hard to stand Draco up, I felt bad, but I wanted Draco to beg for it.
I wasn't going to give into that boy that easily.

"You're up, Courtney." Harry said, as I shook my head.
"I'm skipping out on this one, I'm only watching today." I replied.
"Alright then." Harry sighed.
During his lesson, him and Cho kept looking at each other.
Cho went to the Yule Ball with Cedrick.
I don't think her eyes left Harry the whole lesson.
We had finished up for the night around 10 pm.
As I walked back to the Gryffindor commodore, a hand grabbed me and pulled me into one of the broom closets.
'Lumos' I told my wand.
As it lit the small room up, Draco Malfoy stood before me.
Draco's eyes looked angry.
"What are you doing?" I asked him.
"You know, I don't like to be stood up." Draco snarled at me, as he placed his hands on his hips.
He even sounded angry.
"I told you I was busy." I replied, standing tall.
I wasn't going to let Draco intimate me.
The white light from my wand illuminated our faces.
The blue specks in his eyes glistened.
"I don't care, you kept me waiting. I don't like to wait." He huffed.
Draco stared into my eyes as he blinked slowly.
The fact that he was good looking, and he knew it... only fueled his ego.
Draco softly tapped his foot at me, waiting for my reply.
"I told you I was busy, you didn't like that answer.... so you ignored what I said, and got mad at me when I didn't come. That doesn't make any sense, Malfoy." I squinted my eyes at him.
"I didn't know we weren't on first name basis anymore, Stewart." Draco spat at me.
"You know what, Malfoy? If you weren't such a dick, maybe I would have worked something out and maybeeee I would have been there." I spat back at him.

Draco was such an asshole sometimes.
"W-what do you mean? I'm not a dick." Draco's voiced sounded concerned now.
His forehead wrinkled with worry.
"Yeah, you are. Try being nice outside of closed doors." I rolled my eyes.
'Knox' I told my wand, putting the light out as I stepped out of the closet.
"Where are you going?" Draco whispered, to me as he walked behind me.
"I'm going to bed, Malfoy. I'm going to sleep, I suggest you do the same." I walked faster.
I wasn't lying too him, he was a dick sometimes.
I wouldn't have punched him in the face if he wasn't.
Sometimes he was really sweet.
I guess it really depends on where, and who Draco was around.
As I entered Hermione and I's room, Hermione frantically flipped through the pages of her books.
She was trying to take all the information in at once.
"What the hell are you doing?" I asked her as, I changed into some more comfortable clothes.
I wanted a cigarette so bad, I've been trying to quit since the start of the school year.
"I'm never going to pass these OWL's!" She yelled.
"It's like the second day of the year, calm down. You can always use your necklace to go back, and study more." I laughed as I took the text book away from her.
I've used the necklace with her and Harry once, it was to save lives.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have done it.
I don't believe in messing with time, it's such a precious and very sensitive thing.
Besides, time traveling makes me motion sick.
"I guess you're right," Hermione chuckled, "how do you think the thing went tonight?"
"I was too distracted, Harry and Cho were practicality undressing each other with their eyes." I told her.
"They were staring at each other the whole time." Hermione giggled. "You don't like her?"
"She's nice and all, but I've got a bad feeling about her."
"Is it because she was with Cedrick for a while?"
"No, I don't know.... I just have that feeling. I don't trust her."
"You don't really trust anyone." Hermione rolled her eyes.
"There's a reason for that."
