《Emerald》19

"Its a wonderful view." I said, as I leaned against the railing.
"It really is." Draco spoke softly, as he stood next to me.
Draco placed his arm around my waist, as we looked out into the sky.
The sun was almost done setting, slowly turning everything the sun touched into darkness.
"I didn't even know you could get up this high." I smiled at him, as we stood on the balcony together.
"Yeah, I come here often. It's the astronomy tower, highest point of Hogwarts." Draco looked down to me.
The purple light from the sky reflected off of his skin.
The light revealed small speckles of blue, that were hidden in his silver eyes.
"What are you staring at?" Draco asked me as he turned away, smiling.
"You've got blue in your eyes, only a little bit." I giggled.
"Shut up." He laughed, his skin looked so smooth. "Your eyes are green, nothing but emerald green."
"Thanks, I didn't know that." I sarcastically, said as I rolled my eyes.
"Come on, let's sit down." Draco laughed, taking my hand.
He stopped for a moment, and looked at me.
"You're freezing, why didn't you say anything? You're not even wearing pants!" Draco pulled me into the building, and over to an old dusty chair that was in the middle of the room.
Draco plopped down on it, and pulled me down next to him.
He lifted my legs over his lap, before wrapping his arms around me.
His large hands held mine tightly and I laid my head on his chest.
The warmth of Draco engulfed me, making me feel calm.
I could be real with Draco in this moment, no one was watching.
We didn't have to pretend.

It was just us.
"You know, I shaved my face for this." Draco smirked looking down at me. He lifted one of my hands to his face, and rested it on his cheek.
"Very smooth.... Well, except the spot that you missed." I said, putting my hand back down.
"What?!" Draco gasped, he quickly raised his hand to his face.
"I'm just joking." I laughed.
Draco pouted as he put his hand back on mine. He slowly, and softly rubbed the back of my hand with this thumb.
"I also put on cologne, and aftershave on. So give it a wiff, come on I put it on for a reason..." Draco trailed off.
I laughed as I turned my face to his chest, and took a deep breath in.
The scent filled my lungs as I closed my eyes.
He smelled like a mix of red mahogany wood and green apple, with a small hint of cool aftershave.
The cologne and aftershave wasn't overpowering, it was the perfect amount and the right mixture.
God, he smelt wonderful.
"Mhhh." I smiled, with every breath I took in.
Draco kissed the top of my head, before resting his chin on it.
I could live in this moment forever.
...
"Wake up." Draco whispered to me, as he combed the hair from my face with his fingers.
"Whyyyy?" I groaned, not even bothering to open my eyes.
"Its nearly 4 in the morning, so you need to get up and walk back." Draco said.
"I'm too tired to walk back." I groaned, before drifting back off to sleep.
...
I woke up to the sun beaming into my eyes through the window.
"God that's bright." I said, as I stood up and rubbed my eyes.

"You sleep like a log." Cedrick said, he was sitting in a chair with his legs crossed.
I looked around to see we were in the Gryffindor common room, and I was on the couch.
"What the hell, how did I get here? What time is it?" I asked him.
Cedrick looked over both of his shoulders, before he spoke.
"Its 10:30 in the morning, Draco sent an owl my way early this morning. He carried you to the Gryffindor stairs, and I got you here. Hermione locked the room, so I couldn't get you any farther." Cedrick stood up, and poured me a cup of coffee before handing it to me.
"What about school, it's Tuesday." My eyes widened as I took a sip of my coffee.
"Skipping one day isn't gonna hurt you, it isn't gonna hurt me. I didn't really want to go today anyway." Cedrick chuckled, and he sat next to me.
"Thank you, Cedrick." I smiled at him.
"That's what friends are for." Cedrick replied.
Cedrick and I hung out in the Gryffindor common room all day, we couldn't go anywhere because school was still going on.
We talked, and played wizard chess. Cedrick won every time, I wasn't much of a chess player anyway.
As classes finished for the day, Hermione rushed into the Gryffindor common room.
She threw her books to the ground, and balled her hands into tight fists.
"Tell me why Hagrid saw you walking with Malfoy yesterday evening?!" Hermione yelled.
"Why does it mater?" I asked, her as I stood up quickly.
"Why were you with him?!" She yelled again.
"Is it a crime to talk to someone?!" I yelled back, matching her energy.
I stepped forward to her. We were only inches apart as we glared at each other.
"Woah, calm down." Cedrick stepped in between us, "Whats the difference if she was walking with me?"
"Its because he's !" Hermione spat in my face.
"Don't worry about what I'm doing, or who I'm talking too." I spat back at her.
I pushed past Hermione, nearly knocking her over, as I marched out of the Gryffindor commodore.

Limits
Have you ever considered, what is a Limit? Well, I have. I’ve seen people who were as strong, as wild animals. Those that were faster than the wind. Some that shined with intellect. Yet, what are the Limits of mankind’s strength, or intelligence? No one seems to know. We develop more and more, seemingly without an end. What if, someone was the smartest in the world? Would that suggest the Limit? What if, someone was the strongest in the world? Would that be the Limit? Would that make that someone, more than a Human? These are just questions, but what if I saw people reach their Limits? What if I know what happens, when you break the Limits? What if I were to tell you about it, would you believe me? (This novel is no longer published on royal road. If you wish to read more than 1st volume, head to webnovel. That is all)

I hope you enjoy reading my book as I enjoy writing it! It’s a side project of mine and I can currently only write in my free time, which is not a lot unfortunately. I do not know how many chapters a week I will be able to produce, however, the word count will be around 6000-7000 per week. If you like the story you can support me on patreon and read chapters ahead of current release. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: The story might not be for the faint hearted or for those seeking an over-powerd plot guarded golden cow of a mc. The story will start out slowly and will pick up a bit of pace later on on, however, the character/s will walk a long and full of despair road. No sugar-coating in this story. Another thing to have in mind is that I currently do not have a proofreader nor an editor, so some mistakes might slip through my fingers, if you notice any such, please do leave a comment so I can fix them for future readers. Do please enjoy the story and feel free to leave reviews and or comments, I am usually pretty open and would love to answer some of your questions!
