One thing I love about Paris; the people.

Were they born to be too nice people or were they trained to be polite enough? It was killing me and just like Selena Gomez's song, they were killing me with kindness. It seemed I was the rude one who hardly give any smile at all. Couldn't blame me because normally, we wouldn't smile and talk to strangers, but French people seemed to be knowing everybody around.

It was that kind where words couldn't describe how nice they were. It was the next morning and Luke decided to stroll around with me, while exercising a little. When we walked for kilometres and entered the town area, Luke greeted almost everybody there. What awe'd my heart the most was when nobody gave me a different look and there was even a little boy who were selling roses gave Luke a high five.

He looked so happy when he saw Luke coming over and then when he saw me, he had gotten all shy and it was just plain adorable. While Luke was having a little chat with the little boy, I noticed how good Luke was with kids. He would be a good father one day.

Father. I started rubbing my right arm uncomfortably, looking away from the two. I heard someone calling me and then, a small hand was placed on my back. I turned around and saw the little boy holding out a dark red rose towards me. He gestured me to take it and when I did with a bright smile, his both cheeks flushed red.

I bit my lower lip and smiled genuinely. "You know, a dark red rose means-"

"Unconscious beauty."

I gazed at Luke to find him staring back at me with a breathtaking smile on his face. He continued, "That's the reason why I gave you that."

My both cheeks started getting heated and I gave him a shy smile before avoiding eye contact. I thanked the little boy and walked away with Luke on my side and a dark red rose in my hand.

Getting back to his house, Mrs. Hemmings ordered us to eat our breakfast before it got too cold. After that, the whole day, my mother, the Hemmings and I were sitting in the living room and watching Friends show. It was just a lazy day for all of us and truth be told, we got to know about each other a lot.

The next morning, my mother told me that she was going to go and look for a job. She notified me that I should be looking for one, too. Scooter managed an online schooling for me, but Liz, Luke's mother insisted that I should be fine with Luke's high school. She advised my mother that I should socialize, too and not just do an online schooling. My mother finally agreed on sending me back to school next week on Monday, but for now I had to find a part time job.

Looking for a job in any restaurants in Paris on a Monday morning was terrifying. I had no Luke to guide me to the places and most of the people here spoke fluent and fast French. I had to use Google Translator for most of them. But I was glad the people were understanding enough to know I was new to French words. They probably got to know by my slang.

Half day of walking and I was like a walking dead. I looked up to the last shop that I was going to ask which was 5 minutes away from Luke's house, but felt like hours with walking, and rolled my eyes at the name.

Well, let us see if I could get a job here or I was going to go all Ariana Grande on everybody and punch side to side.

I have gotten the job. I tried to muster the best smile I could to the boss when he interviewed me. I was silently thanking God when he spoke to me in English. When I got the job, I nearly hugged the boss and then awkwardly backed off after giving him a weird handshake.

Walking back to where I live now seemed like it was going to be ages, and as if my prayers were heard, a honk startled me by my side. The window was rolled down and Shane Evans was staring at me with a cute smile on his face.

"Wanna hop in and I'll send you back home?"

After doing a mental prayers that I shouldn't embarrass myself in his car, I nodded and hopped inside while thanking him silently. The whole ride was quiet, but comfortable. All of a sudden, Shane asked me a question that had me coughing my lungs out. And the question was:

"So, are you a fan of Justin Bieber?"

I think I smell something fishy here. 😏
