《Revival [The Lake House Sequel]》Chapter 17

Ana straddled Justin, arms wrapped around his neck. He kept muttering her name, over and over, between slick kisses. "I'm here." She whispered. "I'm right here." Justin's shirt was shed ten minutes ago. So were Ana's pants.
"Can we...I wanna..." Justin shut his eyes. He opened them a few seconds later. Pushing back so that he was leaning against his elbows, he reached for the bottom of Ana's shirt. Leaning back again he watched her with cloudy eyes, traveling up and down her body.
Ana smiled modestly, hiding it against his forehead. "I don't want to do anything you don't want to do." She murmured.
"I want this Ana. I want this so bad." There was no hesitation. "Do you have any...?"
"Check Gavin's room."
Ana climbed off of Justin, rushing over to her phone. Please don't come home tonight, she typed and hit send. Justin was back quickly, square wrapper in his hand. He walked over, cupping Ana's cheek.
"Are you sure you want this?" Ana nodded. "Have you ever done it before?"
She shook her head. "Have you?"
Justin let out a breathy laugh. "No I haven't."
"You're my first." Ana kissed him. "My only."
They seemed to fit together perfectly. Pressed together completely, the moment was just between the two of them. Despite everything, despite the secrets and lies and fights, this was where they belonged.
Justin pressed into Ana slowly, fingers interlocking with hers on the pillows next to them. "You okay?" He grunted.
"Yeah, yes, I'm perfect." Ana replied, tightening her grip on Justin's fingers. "Don't stop."
"I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere." Justin whispered, moving again. He wanted to cry at how good it felt, how free he felt. For the first time in a long time, he felt safe.

"I love you." He hid the words in Ana's warm skin. "I really, really do."

Ana
I woke up feeling giddy. I dumbly grinned as I slipped back into pajamas and left my room. Justin sat at the kitchen counter, typing on Gavin's laptop. I wrapped my arms around him from behind.
He covered my hands with his. "Good morning," He glanced back at me with a smile.
I hid my face against his neck. "It's early." I groaned, pressing my lips lightly below the silver chain he wore.
"It's eleven."
I groaned again. "Too early."
"Coffee?"
I made a face. "I'll make it. No offense, but your coffee is shit."
Justin stuck his tongue out at me, turning to chair around to look at me. "Do you regret it?"
I quickly shook my head. "Never," I ran a hand down his chest, leaning up to kiss him. "I love you."
He grinned, leaning his head into mine. "Love you too."
--
Justin and I curled up on the couch watching TV until the door was thrown open and a disheveled Gavin stomped in. He looked at both of us, heaving a sigh.
"Before I tell you how happy I am about this, first let me tell you how pissed off I am."
I rolled my eyes. "You had a date last night right?"
"I had to sleep in my car!" Gavin snapped. "Things were getting good but then her fucking boyfriend came over. I had to hide in her bathroom before she made me jump from a tree. Classic high school shit. Then I got your text and I've ruined it twice before, no way in hell I was doing that again. So I slept in the backseat of my car. Sexiled from my own apartment. So...how was your night?" He asked sweetly.

Justin and I looked at each other before Justin turned with a smirk. "I got laid." He shrugged. I snorted, covering my mouth with a hand.
Gavin's face fell. "Fuck you both, I'm going to bed."
--
"Long night, huh?" Nate smiled at me as I was clocking out for the night.
I smiled politely. "Yeah."
"Hey, so my dad's in town for a little bit now on business. Gianna's gonna be around too and she's gonna be bored so I can hook you two up to hang out one day if that's okay."
"Sure," I nodded. "She was sweet. Maybe she can meet Gavin too."
"Nah, she's obsessed with some kid my dad introduced her to. He's all they both ever talk about. Gianna wants him to be her boyfriend and my dad wants him to be his new son." Nate's tone was awkwardly bitter.
"Oh."
"Anyway, speaking of my dad, the offer to come have dinner still stands. Maybe tomorrow night? I can cook or we can-"
"Nate," I cut him off, spinning around. "I'm seeing someone."
He looked surprised. "What?"
I shrugged. "I have a boyfriend, Nate."
"Since when? Who is it?"
"That's none of your business," I snapped. "You're crossing a line, Nate. I'm sorry but please don't ask me out again."
He was at a loss for words, opening and closing his mouth. Finally, he just said, "Get over yourself, Ana." And stormed out.
--
I finally unlocked and shut the apartment door near midnight. Dim light streamed under Gavin's door but I could hear his snoring from the other side of the door so I went in and quietly shut out the light.
I slid next to the solid body curled up under my covers. Justin was wearing a heavy sweatshirt and I pressed my palms under the material, against his skin.
"You're cold." He muttered, flinching. He flipped over, rubbing my hands in between his until they warmed. "How was work?"
I sighed, "Alright, I guess. What'd you and Gavin do?"
"Ordered pizza and watched basketball, looked up the cheerleaders on Wikipedia."
"Mm, sounds so fun." I rolled my eyes. We were quiet for a little bit before Justin ran a hand through my hair.
"What's wrong?"
I let out a breath. "I'm just so tired, Justin. I'm working a part time job at a drug store with no plans of leaving. I can barely pay half of the rent and Gavin is too good of a friend to call me out on it. I just want to find better."
"Hey," He tilted my face so our eyes met. "You can. You will. I promise."
I stared at him before nodding, tucking my face into his neck. The rise and fall of his chest lulled me to sleep.
