《The Untold Stories - Season 1》The Tale of Sophie McDonald (Episode 13)

The camera opens up onto the familiar dark-bricked building of the Thronier Household. Conveniently, the sky was painted in the most gloomy shade of black. Matching with the scenery, was a booming thunder hammering alongside deafening cracks of lightning somewhere within the distance. Glistening from the buildings' paned windows, were sparks of pure golden light escaping its way from the third floor along with eerie cheering and jeering laughter. A mysterious man draped in black robes stood posing as a guard of the building. As he guards the building, a light cough escapes his mouth into the midnight air and the camera makes its way to the windows pouring this interesting commotion. Distinctly, the laughter of Demorca Merovingian is heard over the ruckus.

Demorca Merovingian: To, Dark Hammer!

Finally, the camera made its way through one of the many bright windows and hopped inside a medium-sized room. It had one large spindle-legged table made from the finest African blackwood resting in the center of the room. Matching with the table, were about twenty-six spindle-legged chairs trailing their way around the table, occupied by men and women also dressed in black. Amongst those occupying the chairs were Razilee Rawcett, Dormithean Merovingian and Hunter Montreddins. Above all the black-robed people was a grand chandelier; its many jewels twinkled together as a bright light emitted from the center of its grandness. All of a sudden, Hunter raised himself from his own chair and made his way through the entrance of the room. With rising interest, Demorca followed him as he strolled away; immediately her evil sneer faded away. At once, Demorca followed in his footsteps all the way to the balcony that once held the limp body of Judy Jills.

Demorca Merovingian: What are you doing? Why are you not celebrating?

Hunter Montreddins: Let's be honest with each other, Demi. This is all a setup for your grand plan.

Demorca Merovingian: I have no idea what you're talking about.

Hunter was not facing Demorca, but instead toward the distance where the sun was slowly making its way below the line of horizon. Beautiful colors of orange and pink filtered the air and only illuminated parts of clouds that had not run away from the unrolling darkness. He had a wild look of deep exhaustion and illness to him, which ultimately made his hair appear an ugly shade of grey and his skin to produce unkind wrinkles.

Hunter Montreddins: This wasn't an invitation to a masquerade ball, this was an invitation to a masquerade bloodbath... I don't want to be part of it.

Demorca Merovingian: Well, well, well... who would of known that the runt of the litter would unearth the truth faster than the others. Then again, you're all the runt of the litter...

Hunter Montreddins: But, why?

Inhaling and exhaling, Demorca took a long sigh whilst scratching her head. Slowly but surely, she made her way over to where Hunter stood by the balcony's ledge. Despite the fact of her savage tone of voice, she didn't make any sign of aggression or force of brutality, but merely placed her arms on the stone balustrade beside Hunter, looking toward the sun simultaneously with him.

Demorca Merovingian: We've all had people we've loved... hell, more than ourselves... and sometimes we do things for those we love...and we may regret them... but this I won't regret... he will see my loyalty and he will praise me for it...

Hunter Montreddins: And he wouldn't kill you? He wouldn't think you're a traitor?

Demorca Merovingian: Maybe... but he will eventually realise how loyal I am to him...

All of a sudden, an uproar of screams and gasps issuing from the inside of the building can be heard. Above all, Razilee's scream made the most noise, which conclusively made a slight grin appear across Demorca's face. Ultimately, the sound of plates clattering and glass smashing, forced Hunter to stand up straight.

Hunter Montreddins: I miss them...

Demorca Merovingian: They had what was coming...

Hunter Montreddins: Demorca, we can still change sides. He made me kill them... A daughter's last sight was of her father, her murderer... We can still tell Sophie, help her...

Demorca Merovingian: Most of their side are turning away... that attack in New York set most apart... if we leave now there'd be no way he would spare us.

Hunter Montreddins: Demi-

Demorca Merovingian: No!

With a wave of frustration, Demorca immediately stood up straight and stared directly into Hunter's eyes. She had a look of deep disapproval and menace within her eyes; the familiar maniac glow was back and ready to kill. Hunter stood there for a couple of seconds, swaying on the spot and balancing his chances.

Hunter Montreddins: I loved them-

Demorca Merovingian: If you loved them then you wouldn't of killed them.

Hunter Montreddins: That isn't fair-

Demorca Merovingian: What isn't fair is your disobedience and treason to our Savior.

Demorca took one step closer to Hunter; he took one step backward in a swift and simultaneous way to her. With progressing time, Demorca proceeded onward until Hunter was leaning upright against the side of the balustrade, he took one quick glance behind him and gasped at the sudden height he had not noticed beforehand.

Demorca Merovingian: You pathetic, low-life coward... Love is for the weak...

With one swift motion, Demorca outstretched her two arms and pushed. She stumbled backward before Hunter could grab hold of her robes. As Hunter flailed his arms around from the fall; he didn't make a noise of pain or a wimp of a cry or a plead for mercy from Demorca, but closed his eyes and embraced his fate. Disgustingly, the drop made a sudden crack as the camera looked upon his body; his brains were exposed and blood was making a pool around the limp body. Slowly, the camera followed Demorca as she pressed onward and into the familiar hallway. What was shown was horrific; attenders had white bubbles billowing out of their mouth whilst others had slumped onto the floor and accepted death. About two tall men had attempted to run for the doors but fell in the process and many parts of the table cloth, goblets and food lay scattered around the floor. Demorca merely picked up one of the goblets and sniffed; she lowered it and let out the familiar manic laughter until the screen turned black.

a broken record starts to play

Five cloaked people walk through a forest with tree and plant closeups. 'Sxphie' appears in between the trees and plants. A minotaur eats a man while 'Kieghan' appears in the minotaur's eyes and shortly after there appears to be multiple broken pictures with blood over them containing dolls, demons, the photo of the Class of 1965, Judy and Llama and lastly is Great-McDonald with black eyes. 'Kalani & Kyphi' appear as a woman holds up a voodoo doll with her lips sealed by the thread. 'Cat & Hunter' appear as women stand and dance around a fire of burning witches and wizards, 'Smxthie & Aloro' appear as a man pours blood over him while another goes into a bath filled with blood. 'Rachel & Alwaysmunching' appear as the woman starts to stab the voodoo doll and the blood on the picture frames sucks back up and into the pictures with the cracks ceiling, finally 'Llamapocalypse & Nikoliko' appear as the five cloaked people run away from the man eating Minotaur and the forest starts to burn before one of the cloaked people shushes the screen into:

Toby Savannah: Sophie, come on!

Rachel Poppies: Sophie... the door is right there!

The camera opened up to Toby and Rachel staring fixedly toward Sophie's silhouette. An enormous wooden door stood behind the three with many engravings of old witches and wizards passing objects to younger figurines or of them learning to fight against certain beasts. Familiar colors of cream and brown wash themselves over the walls and arched ceilings whilst the concrete ground delivered a grayish tone to the beautiful scene. As the camera made its way past Rachel, it showed what Sophie was looking out toward; many jets of beautiful colors zooming their way around the castle's grounds and forest. Several screams of pain and delight echoed their way to where Sophie stood. It was Rachel's touch that shook Sophie back into reality.

Sophie McDonald: Come on...

Strutting, Sophie made her way to the giant oaken door separating the three from whatever hid inside. She placed a hand onto the knocker and almost immediately, the door swung open; allowing the three inside. Rachel stepped inside first with a dreamily look marked upon her face and within seconds, Toby was following behind. Exquisite was not the correct word to describe what lay inside the small room. A magnificent marble statue of a weeping woman stood at the far end of the room, only enlightened by the significant light emitting from the full moon outside a stained window perched behind her. Although she appeared to be carved from marble, she was pouring out real human tears that splattered onto a crystal bracelet that was curled onto her outstretched hands; engraved on its golden contents was two letters spelling K.B. The last Dodmortem.

However, leaning against the sides of the walls were four more incredible marble statues weeping and holding a weapon of choice. One of the statues appeared to be a very masculine figure holding a pointed shield to protect his body from any incoming dangers. Next to him was a woman holding two items; golden brass scales and a small flowerpot with nothing in its inside. On the completely other side of the room stood two more statues. Peculiar though it was, one marble statue appeared to of been smashed and only the lower half of its body kept contact to the stone keeping it together, next to it was another masculine figure of a man who held a sword; pointing it to the sky. He had a major grin on his face as he looked upon the pointy tip of the sword but small splatters of tears still made their way down the marble. As Sophie made her way toward the bracelet and reached her hand in its direction, a scream ringed out from the door. As she spun around, the masculine stone figure holding a shield had come off its stone pedestal and was marching toward Rachel. Slowly but surely, the other stone figures had sprung to life, the destroyed figure now made sense.

Kassilyn Bishop: Watch your friends suffer...

Suddenly, Sophie realised the weeping stone figure holding the bracelet had trapped her within its embrace and was speaking to her with Kassilyn's voice.

Sophie McDonald: Where is the bracelet?

Sophie watched as Rachel was grabbed by the two masculine stone figures and the woman figure holding the scales chased Toby around the pedestal of the lifeless and destroyed feet. The only thing free to help her friends was her right hand, but it wasn't free enough to cast magic toward the statue crushing her slowly. Suddenly, Sophie's hand caught hold of something; something slippery but very delicate and small - the last Dodmortem was in Sophie's hand. As Sophie attempted to break the bracelet with the stone figure of Kassilyn's arm, the marble object opened her mouth wide and let out a howl; the bracelet had burnt a chunk of the stone away. Almost immediately did Kassilyn let go of Sophie did Sophie press her palm holding the bracelet to Kassilyn's stone head. At once, her head had started to melt away and the remaining limbs fell to the floor in a loud crack. At their master's defeat, all the remaining stone figures also collapsed onto the floor with loud smashes. Rachel and Toby both covered their eyes and after a few moments had reappeared from the monster of smoke. Questioningly, they both looked from Sophie to the necklace and back at Sophie again.

Rachel Poppies: So... what are you waiting for? Destroy it!

Slowly, Sophie spun the bracelet round to face the 'K.B.' before tearing it apart. Kassilyn Bishop. The last remaining Dodmortem. They can finally beat Llama. However, as soon as Sophie threw the bracelet to the floor and made her way to the door behind Rachel and Toby, the trio heard a scurrying noise on the floor. As they turned around to see what the noise was issuing from, a giant fire in the shape of an eagle screeched at them.

Toby Savannah: RUN!

Toby, Rachel and Sophie both darted for the door but it was too late; the eagle's tail had whipped the doors shut in front of them and they were being engulfed by huge flames.

Rachel Poppies: Think of something, anything!

Sophie McDonald: Allegra Irwin.

Rachel Poppies: What about her? I don't think Ghala will help us here anytime soon.

Sophie McDonald: No! Allegra Irwin invented a spell that helps defeat fire even when it is cursed... there's no way a fire can turn into that thing by the laws of nature! Allegra Irwin... said... "those who master fire master the arts and crafts of"... Aqualabule! the name of the High Mermaidress of 1912!

As Sophie turned, the flame and scorching heat pounded against all the exposed skin it could reach. It felt strangely comfortable and for a minute Sophie was tricked into believing this was a very good way to die. It wasn't until the eagle screeched at her again and made a very threatening move did Sophie point her hand toward it and scream the following words:

Sophie McDonald: Masters of Fire! Masters of Water! Masters of the Elements! Help me protect my sister and the coven of Witches and Wizards! Aqualabule!

The floor shook and the phoenix screeched as a powerful jet of the most beautiful shade of turquoise water burst from the tips of Sophie's fingertips. As it sprayed the flaming eagle, the water slowly turned into the colors of brown, green and red, the colors of the other three elements. Rabbits and doves sprung out of her hand following closely by deer, robins and seals. Sophie's eyes were a pearl white as her concentration grew. Together they rose and dived toward the fire; eventually beating it to a small light emitting from the bracelet. As Sophie lowered her hand toward the floor, the animals turned into balls of water and conjoined with the natural balls of water, splattering toward the floor. In contrast, the bracelet no longer had its beautiful 'K.B' or its gold shining from its contents but now appeared a very ugly shade of brown and black, as if burned.

Eventually, Toby grabbed hold of Sophie and dragged her out onto the familiar cream hallway, the ancient doors slammed shut behind them leaving the scattered pieces of marble and the bracelet to be a thing of the past. The camera made its way through one of the windowless panes and down toward the battle scene with the courtyard and edge of the forest. Giant hairy beasts erupt from the fallen and burning trees in the distance and scatter themselves to attack surrounding students and teachers. From amidst the clouds of smoke come Emerelda, Jazzy and Pyrder. Perched on Emerelda's arms lies the limp body of Ellie MacCarones.

Emerelda Swongluff: Pyrder, take Ellie to the pharmacy post... Jazzy, its best if you go to... i'll try to collect Aiden on my way back. GO!

Emerelda took Jazzy into her arms and embraced her into a short hug. When they drifted apart, the camera followed Jazzy and Pyrder back to the giant castle doors. All around the castle's entrance stood students, teachers, M.A.G.I.C. workers and any ally of Sophie outstretching their hands. Standing in the middle of the entrance and rushing forward was a highly recognisable woman with big bushy hair and dark rings around her eyes-

Pyrder Croaxelle: Joan Collins! What are you doing here? You're meant to be in Hollywood!

Joan Collins: I couldn't miss a battle my little niece orchestrated for the world... pathetic girl... anyway, what's happened here?

Pyrder Croaxelle whispering: She's dead...

Joan let out a low 'Oh' and took Ellie's limp body into her arms, rushing and pushing past people with Jazzy at her heels. All that could be heard from the entrance hallways were the sounds of multiple people running or crying out for help. However, before Pyrder could turn around and re-enter into the battle scene, three sets of feet came rushing to him from his side; Sophie, Rachel and Toby.

Pyrder Croaxelle: Is it destroyed?

All three of them were unable to get the words out due to the mass amount of gasping for air but all merely nodded at the same time. Before the trio could let out any other noise than their panting, Pyrder led them out onto the battle scene.

Pyrder Croaxelle: We need to find Emerelda and warn the others-

Sophie McDonald: Has anyone... on our side?

Afraid to say the word 'died' in front of Pyrder, Sophie paused before saying it. Pyrder stopped in his tracks and when he wheeled around, he had a very pale shade of white marked across his face.

Pyrder Croaxelle: E-Ellie and Aiden...

All of a sudden, everything went black. Everything and everyone froze; the many creatures swinging their swords and hands in the distance stopped altogether as Sophie let out a scream the sound of a war cry. Immediately, all the closest students of the school and everyone Sophie recognised had faced her way and triumphantly screamed out loud. Within the distance, a giant about the height of four houses stacked on top of each other faced her way, with a single grunt the beast pressed on forward.

The only thing blocking its path was an angry-looking Sarah Allington and eager Jason Redridge. Within Sarah's hands was a pretty bow with vines crawling its way around the limbs. With one scream, Sarah blasted two arrows toward the giant; hitting the beast squarely in the eyes. Only for one split second did Sarah turn around at Sophie whilst smiling before she dragged Jason into the crowd of fighters with her. A boom. A scream. A cry. Sophie slowly made her way over to the area where a monstrous explosion occurred; many people ran in the opposite direction Sophie was walking to. Amongst the rubble from the castle, two boys laid perfectly still. But before Sophie could make any move toward the bodies, a big hairy beast that was unrecognisable to Sophie but definitely recognisable to the camera grabbed hold of her; it was Alastair Seymour.

Rachel Poppies: Get off of her! Ianuae effuga!

Immediately, Sophie was thrown from Alastair's grasp and toward the two closest bodies. Without bothering to notice the ongoing battle between Alastair and Rachel, Sophie screamed at the closest body to her; the lifeless corpse of Vexia and the other was Maison. Only when Sophie heard another scream did she snap out of the darkness; Alastair was doing something to Emerelda's neck. From the trauma, Sophie felt a pulling by several hands and automatically fell into a sleep.
