“I- I’ll turn it off.” I said. I was going to say that I had turned it off but I didn’t want them to think that I was acting weird.

I went upstairs and turned off the light.

School-

Students seemed a lot better that day. I knew everyone would slowly forget about it because life has to continue.

It was foggy early in the morning so I sat down on the window seat so that I could look out at the trees and the ground to refresh my mind.

“Why were you called yesterday?” my seat partner asked me. She was called Emma and was pretty nosy.

“It was nothing.” I answered.

“You were close to Ethan?” she asked.

“I wasn’t.” I answered.

“Then why were you called?” She asked.

“Will you please stop? It’s none of your business.” I said rudely.

Was that me? I wouldn’t shout at someone for such a small thing.

“Sorry.” She said and looked away. I sighed and turned towards the window to stare outside when I saw a dark figure on the ground. It was foggy and I couldn’t see clearly but I could make out it was a boy.

He was standing still, with his head raised a little, looking up at me.

“Gwen Smith.” I heard a voice.
