《Turpin x reader》Chapter 14

You were out of the bath and back in your dress. You had no idea the time and you just sat and twiddled your thumbs and sometimes put your fingers in the small amount of water left at the bottom of the bath. You felt guilty for annoying him but you still were angry over the painting. How dare he do that to her.
You sat for longer and you started to shiver. It was freezing in the bathroom and you clutched at yourself. It was getting dark and you were hungry. You just wanted to leave.
Suddenly you heard a key in the lock and someone come in. It was dark and you couldn't work it out. You felt the person pick you up and kiss your head gently. "You are cold" he mumbled. "Let me warm you up". Turpin brought you into the bedroom and laid you down on the bed. It really had got dark. He had left you in there for at least two hours. "Have some broth" Turpin said and handed you a little boul.
You took it and sipped the liquid and rubbed your eyes. Turpin looked at you from where he sat on the bed, tea in his hand. "Now then is there anything you wish to say to me?" he asked.
"I-I'm sorry" you mumbled.
"All is forgiven" he said and stroked your cheek.
"How long was I-I in the bathroom?" you asked.
"Only 10 minutes" he said. You looked at the dark sky from the window and the gas lamps which had been lit. You highly doubted it but you stayed quiet. "Drink up" he murmured. You had the rest of the broth. It was delicious and warmed you up as you laid under the covers. He took the empty bowl from your hand and put it on the side. He shifted toward you and stroked your cheek gently. He kissed you and moved you towards him, you melted into his touch and let his fingers stroke through your hair. He nibble your lip and he pushed his tongue into your mouth, exploring it. His fingers moved from your hair down your body and squeezed your breasts in his hand. You moaned into his mouth, your hands gripping the sheets in front of you. He let go and got into bed next to you, pulling you into him.

"Are you feeling better?" he asked. You shrugged and he sighed. "Tommorow the paintings will come and you can start appointments again, but only women and children remember" You nodded and he chuckled. "I am glad you are finally listening to me" he kissed your head and stroked it until you fell into a tricky sleep.
Turpin watched you sleep. He didn't like punishing you but he had to so he could keep you safe and keep in control.
You woke to Turpin's chest. He was awake and stroked your hair adoringly. "Good morning little one" he murmured, feeling you move into him. He kissed your head and got up from the bed. He got his clothes on and looked at you who still laid in the bed, exhausted from yesterday. Turpin picked you up and kissed your temple, holding you in his arms. He put you down and went to the doorway. "Now get dressed and I will see you downstairs."
Turpin left the room and you sat on the bed. You had no idea to how to feel, he was kind yet horrid if you went against him. You wanted your freedom but you wouldn't survive living on your own, since you had no money and now no house.
You slowly got dressed and went downstairs. Your paintings were stacked in the sitting room and Turpin was going through them. He looked up at you and smiled. Your heart stopped. "Your landscapes are truly magnificent" he said and put them gently onto the table. "You can have them hung where ever you wish" you nodded and he picked one up, putting it to the wall. "That could do there" you nodded and he called in a servant to put a nail into the wall to hang it. "It brightens up the room doesn't it" he said and hugged your shoulder, kissing your cheek gently. "Go get some breakfast, I have work" he kissed you again and walked towards the door. "I will see you soon my baby" he said and closed the door. You heard the lock click and you sighed. You were trapped once again.

A Prose of Years
For decades, spiritualist Evert Kallstrom and his team have joined in humanity’s millennia-long fight against the beasts. Wielding their weapons and their ki, they fought and killed these great threats to civilization. And yet, despite their efforts, humanity was losing traction in the war. In the last fifty years alone, more cities had been overrun than in all of known history. While most thought the great beasts natural, a few knew the terrible truth. They were the product of a dark lord, who desired neither fame nor wealth nor power. Instead, his sole purpose was the genocide of humanity. While their peers dithered, a small faction of the strongest mankind had to offer—including Evert Kallstrom and his team—set out towards the Deadlands to find and confront this dark lord. After weeks of travel, twenty-one spiritualists found themselves approaching an ancient fortress wherein rested a being known only as the Eastern Guardian. All they found was death. But death has other plans for Evert. Evert bolts awake in his 16 year old body near his hometown, decades in the past. He is confused, poor and weak. But with grit, sweat, and years of experience, he won't let the future repeat itself. That level of strength won't be enough by itself (it wasn’t last time) and victory is hardly assured (he’ll need to reach farther and higher than he ever did), but Evert refuses to squander a second chance. [Other tags: First Person POV, Hard Magic, Faulty Memory] Volume 1 is complete and has been fully released. My current intention is not to write any sequel volumes. That said, I have also released appendices (SPOILERS) that cover the worldbuilding and future story-that-never-was. Comments suggesting fixes for grammar, misspellings, etc. appreciated. Note: If you came here from Candlelit Lives, these stories have nothing in common.

Fall of Jupiter
What happens when the most powerful man in the world loses his soulmate to a heart attack? What happens when an innocent woman is dragged into a world of magic, and superheroes? Who is the true hero of the story? Note: This is the first book I ever wrote seriously. (I even had a cover made before I decided against publishing it) I'd like to think my writing style has improved with practice, and the multiple other books I've worked on. It felt wrong to leave a nearly completed book gathering dust in my google docs, but I don't think it's good enough to be officially published. As a result, I'm putting it here instead where it at least won't be totally wasted. Eventually, I'll put in the last 10 hours or so to finish it for you guys. Hope you like it :)
