《You Saw Right Through Me》Operation Amaguji

You ran through the halls of the apartment building, the clacking of your shoes echoing throughout the rooms.
"Babe!" You suddenly burst through the door of the apartment you and Kokichi shared, making the purple headed boy jolt in shock. "Y/N! Man, you scared me!" He turned around on the couch and rested his head on his thin arms. "What can the Supreme Leader do for you today?"
You sat down on the couch. "You know how Rantaro totally likes Kiyo, and how Kiyo is oblivious but also totally likes Rantaro?"
"Yes... WAIT!" A suspicious glint in his eye gave you the hint that he knew what you were talking about.
"I'll text Shumai."
"I'll text the others."
.
"So... why are we here again?" Kaito questioned, seeing almost everyone else gathered in the apartment.
You looked him dead in the eye as Kokichi pushed over a whiteboard.
"Okay, you know it's not a good things when you combine Kokichi, Y/N, and a whiteboard." Kaede said.
"Shush!" You flipped the whiteboard, and both Kaito and Kaede leaned forward. "Alright, we're listening."
.
"Oh Rantaro!" You appeared behind him and poked the top of his head. "Where's Kiyo?" Rantaro looked up from his book. "He's out right now."
"Where?"
"Uh... he never said."
You nodded. "Alright, thanks!" You ran off, leaving Rantaro in his living room. "Why do they want to know where Kiyo is...?"
You walked out into the hall and shook your head. "Kiyo isn't here?" Kokichi lifted his phone. "I tracked his phone. He's in the next town, at his job."
"Alright, got it. Keep a look out for when he comes back." You opened the door to Rantaro and Kiyo's apartment, sitting next to him.
"Oh, Y/N, you're-- HEY!" You took the book from his hand and placed it on the side table. "Rantaro, I am not living my life knowing that you haven't confessed to Kiyo yet."
His face turned beet red and he recoiled. "H-Huh? What do you mean?" You crossed your arms, giving him a "Really?" look. "Rantaro, you've had a crush on him for..." You thought for a minute. "almost 10 years. It's time to man up and confess."
Kokichi burst into the room. "Alright, Rantaro, look. Y/N has been planning this since like... high school. It's killing us. All. Of. Us. Even Maki. If you don't confess, I will."
Rantaro's face flushed as he slouched on his couch. "Don't worry, you helped Kokichi confess to me, so now it's time for you to confess to Kiyo! It's only fair." You grinned.
You paced around the couch. "Alright, so right now, Kaito, Kaede, and Maki are with Kiyo. I just told them to subtly distract him, but I'm hoping Maki's the one leading that." You stopped for a minute, making eye contact with Rantaro.
"I think our time is limited."
You grabbed Rantaro's arm and dragged him out the door. "Kokichi, come on!" You called, making him follow you.
"Alright, so this is going to be fantastic, but not over the top." You said, walking Rantaro through the streets. Kokichi was really just tagging along to get blackmail pictures, and because you looked cute when your eyes sparkled of excitement.
"Okay, so according to my knowledge, Kiyo likes..." You had brought Rantaro to a flower shop, and you and him were walking through the small garden. Rantaro stopped, his eye catching a pastel flower.

"Hm?" You turned your head, noticing the flower he was staring at. "Ah, there it is!" You walked over to the flower, the stem wrapped in decorative plastic. "So this is what caught your eye?" You pressed your finger against his forehead. "So you are soulmates after all!"
"Y/N!" His cheeks rosy, you handed him the flower and went to the checkout to pay.
"It's called the... pastel carnation." You explained to him once you walked out. "The white ones represent pure love, while the pink ones represent admiration."
Rantaro stared at the flower, his cheeks slightly pink.
"Alright! Next place..." You looked at the paper of things that Kiyo likes. "Reading... that's not too helpful when you're trying to confess."
"The candle idea is out of the question too, huh?"
You looked up at Rantaro. "Yes. And piano is as well." Kokichi tilted his head. "Huh? Why?"
"His sister knew how to play piano."
"How do you know?"
"She told me."
You casually walked away, leaving Kokichi and Rantaro looking at each other in confusion. "WAIT, Y/N!!"
.
"Alrighty, next we need to think about location." You said, Rantaro and Kokichi still trying to catch up.
"OH!"
"Oomf!" The two bumped into you as you abruptly stopped. "Quit messing around, come on!" You grabbed them by the hands and began dragging them down the street.
"They... seem... more... EXCITED!!" Kokichi enunciated, with you pulling him and Rantaro out of town.
You came to a stop, with both of them flying passed you. "Here!"
Rantaro lifted his head. "Y/N, be... careful..." He looked at the location, his eyes wide.
(Minus the pine trees)
"How... did you find this?" He barely whispered, just loud enough for you to hear.
"When you're a ghost, you can go wherever you want." You said with a smile. "Besides, I showed this to Kiyo once. He asked if there were any nice places for a picnic... I wonder with who."
Kokichi grinned. "We had a picnic here before, but a bee stung them." You looked at him. "It stung you."
Rantaro laughed. "Alright, alright. So, now what?" You picked him up and swung him over your shoulder, making him yelp
"Y-Y/N?!"
"You have to get ready. I have a sense that Kiyo's going to be back in a hour and 47 minutes."
"Why so specific?"
"It's a hunch."
.
You got to his apartment and dropped him on the couch. "Kokichi." "Got it."
As Kokichi helped choose Rantaro's outfit, you looked through his drawers. "HAH! I KNEW YOU USED EYELINER!!" You tossed Kokichi the eyeliner. "You've done Shuichi's, now do his. I'll check in on K.K.M."
"K.K.M.?"
"Kaito, Kaede, Maki."
You pulled out your phone and called Kaito. "What's the situation?"
"We're shopping right now, then we'll be on our way home. We'll be there in about an hour and 45 minutes."
"Great. See you." You hung up and popped your head into the bedroom. "Kokichi?"
"Rantaro, quit blinking,,!"
"I'm trying."
You stared. "Uh... anyways... Kaito said they'd be back in an hour 45, so be quick."
The two froze and looked at you. "But two minutes ago..." "you said an hour 47." You looked back at them. "And?"
You looked at your phone. "Alrighty..." You looked down at your list of things Kiyo likes with a smile. "Rantaro, remember when I taught you guitar?"

"Uh... yeah. What about it?"
"Remember the first song I taught you?" Rantaro stared at you for a moment. "Wait, you don't want me to—?" "Yes, I do!" You crossed your arms. "Kiyo loves that song, but he doesn't like pianos! Remember?"
Kokichi smirked. "Come on, you have no excuse not to!" Rantaro scratched the back of his head. "Okay, okay."
You sat at the end of his bed. "Rantaro." He looked over at you. "I haven't seen you look this nervous since your first job interview." You grinned. "Come on, Rantaro! You're usually the one giving pep talks! Use that positive energy!"
Kokichi shook his shoulders. "Yeah, chill out! Anyways, Y/N, I'll help Rantaro bring your guitar to the area while you wait for Kiyo!" You nodded. "A single scratch is put on that thing, and I swear, you'll sleep on the couch tonight."
"What?! But there isn't even decorative pillows!"
Kokichi pouted and took Rantaro's arm. "Come on, let's go." Both he and Rantaro left the room, leaving you sitting alone at the end of his bed. "Oh, and there's something waiting for you there, too!"
You were silent for a minute before- "Agh, he's grown up so much!!" You yelled, jabbing your palms into your closed eyes, falling on your back.
"Alright, alright." You fixed the bed so it looked like no one was in here at all and put away the eyeliner.
"Kaito." You said into your phone. "How long until you get here?"
"About 15 minutes now."
"I still need about fifteen minutes to get Kiyo ready as well, since he's not going to go with his work outfit on."
"Alright. Over and out."
He hung up as you deadpanned at your phone. "Over and out...?" You scoffed and stuck your phone into your pocket. "I wonder if Kiyo will ever be able to meet any of Rantaro's siblings." You whispered to yourself in the mirror.
They weren't really missing. They just all went around the world, somewhat opposing to whatever Monokuma put into his head. Or... Tsumugi.
You sighed and sat on the couch.
The front door opened behind you and you turned. "Kiyo!" He looked up from his book. "Y/N? What are you doing here? Did Rantaro invite you?"
"More or less. Come!" You took his bag from him and put it on the hook. "Where are we going?" Kiyo asked.
"I'm just going to help you get ready!"
"For?"
You looked back at him with a smirk. "Rantaro has a surprise for you." Kiyo raised a brow, but followed you to his bedroom.
"Are these all your clothes?" You stared at the opened closet. "Yes. Is something the matter?"
"No...! No!" You held a few shirts by the hangar, holding them in front of him. "Okay, a little bit. Come with me." You took his arm and pulled him to your apartment, just across the hall.
"Y/N, what are you—?"
"Here!" You threw a denim jacket, a black turtleneck, and black pants at him. "That's just the clothes."
Kiyo held up the clothes. "Why do you have clothes in my size?" You looked up from the drawer. "Well, they were supposed to be for your birthday, but I decided to give you something else."
You patted the area in front of you on the couch, and Kiyo sat. "So, what do you think this is about?" You asked, tying Kiyo's hair.
"You and Rantaro seem to be planning something, but I'm not sure what."
Rantaro was right... he's dense. "Well, I guess you'll see when it's time." You finished tying his hair and grinned. "There you go! One more thing." You got up and dug in your drawer. "Aha!"
You went behind Kiyo again and put the necklace around his neck. "It looks like Rantaro's! Just black." Kiyo lifted the end of the necklace, holding it in his palm. "Do you like it?"
Kiyo nodded. "Alright, so are we going now?"
"Mhm!" You took his hand and walked out the door. "So, Rantaro refused to take the car since he said 'it's only for a emergencies' so I shall be driving!"
"...Do you know how to drive?"
"Of course I do! I'm not as good as Rantaro, but the place isn't far." You opened the passenger side and let Kiyo in. "Let's go!" You pulled the handle and set it on drive.
"Y/N."
"Yes?"
"What are those?"
You looked up at the sky and smiled. "Those? Those are leftover lanterns from the wedding." Kiyo stared at them. "But why are they being released?"
Very, very dense.
"Don't worry, you'll see why!" You parked the car and opened the passenger door, letting Kiyo out. "So... now you need to shut your eyes."
"Alright."
Once his eyes were closed, you guided him to the clearing, nearly bumping into a tree, but that's fine. It's not like you actually did, and Kiyo didn't need to know.
You saw Rantaro sitting under a tree and signalled for him to start playing.
With a shaky breath, he began strumming the guitar, making Kiyo's ears perk up.
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
"You can open your eyes." You said to Kiyo.
His eyes opened, and they immediately widened. "Oh my..."
With lanterns scattered in the sky, a tree lit with fireflies at the trunk, and the flowers scattered around it looked like it was just out of a fairy tale.
But to Kiyo, the most beautiful part was what— or rather who— was sitting underneath the tree.
There sat a green haired boy, not much shorter than him, a small smile on his face as he quietly sang.
You gently pushed him forward, making Kiyo walk closer to Rantaro. His cheeks were a light pink hue, partly hidden by his mask.
Kiyo walked over to Rantaro and knelt down in the flowers, right in front of him. At this point, Rantaro's face felt like it was on fire, but he waited until the final note in the song to stop.
"That was splendid, Rantaro." Kiyo complimented.
"Th-Thanks." Rantaro put down the guitar in the soft grass, slightly gripping the green blades out of nervousness.
He had always thought about confessing, but while he was pretty good at planning confessions, he wasn't good at doing himself. But right now, he had the very person he wanted to confess to right in front of him.
"Rantaro... do you have something to tell me?"
Rantaro's face glowed red, with Kiyo still sitting in front of him, his gorgeous golden eyes looking at Rantaro's green ones.
What would he see in me?
Rantaro had always thought that. But now that you urged him to confess, and that Kokichi practically blackmailed him as well, he really had no choice.
He wanted to, he did. But...
"K-Kiyo?"
What was that?!
"I have something really important to tell you..."
Oh, well no duh, Rantaro!
Rantaro stood up, these thoughts swirling through his head like salt in water. With a deep breath, and Kiyo now standing in front of him, he began to talk.
"So... uh..." Shoot, shoot, shoot, this is hard!! "Kiyo, I-!"
Finally, Rantaro pinched his wrist from behind his back, and spoke clearly.
"Kiyo, you may not believe this about yourself, but you're a really, really important person. Especially to me. We spoke about our sisters, but I honestly just really loved hearing your voice and how happy you sounded."
He fidgeted with the flowers that he hid behind his back, his face getting hotter by the second.
"But... I want you to be that happy when you're with me. Like how happy I am with you! A-And you might not have this kind of view on people but..."
Rantaro pulled out the flowers and held them in front of Kiyo. "But I really, really like you! Not like, I really, really love you!"
You and Kokichi watched from a distance. "He seems a lot more confident when he's talking to you." Kokichi whispered to you. "He's also a lot smoother with words." You whispered back.
Rantaro's hands shook a little, his eyes averted away from Kiyo. "So, yeah. That's what I've been hiding."
Suddenly, Rantaro felt two hand wrap around his and he looked up. "Rantaro..." Rantaro's eyes widened once he saw Kiyo's face.
He was crying.
"K-Kiyo! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry!" Kiyo pulled Rantaro's hands so he'd be closer, both of them holding the small bouquet.
"Rantaro, I didn't know you felt that way. I thought my feelings were simply one sided, so I never quite bothered with trying to get to you. You seemed to be too high for me to reach."
Rantaro let go of the bouquet. "Y-You thought that?"
"Yes. I found you to be the most beautiful part of humanity that I had ever laid my eyes upon. Far more beautiful than what I ever saw in my reflection."
"Y-Y/N?!" Kokichi exclaimed when he looked over at you, tears streaming down your cheeks. "Awh, this is beautiful...!"
Rantaro held Kiyo's hands. "You've gotta be kidding, Kiyo! The reason I didn't confess was... because I thought I wasn't good for you."
Kiyo pressed his forehead against Rantaro's. "You were always proof that humanity was the most intriguing subject. But it seems like you're even better."
"Is he... Is he flirting?" You questioned. Kokichi squinted. "Nah, I think that's a normal compliment to him."
With a smile, Rantaro looked behind him. "Um, Y/N wanted me to uh... do this with you." He moved out of the way and revealed a table with two lanterns, each with a different pattern on them.
"Ah... that's what they were talking about." Kiyo picked up one of the lanterns. "Would you like to do this at the same time?"
Rantaro nodded and picked up the remaining lantern.
"Hold on, hold on." You walked over and held an open matchbox. "Just- Just, yeah, okay." You walked backwards, back to Kokichi.
"Do you have the camera?" You whispered to Kokichi.
"Yeah."
.
It's been about half a year since the confession and they've been thriving, with the occasional "Can I borrow some money?"
But that was mainly Rantaro.
One night, at around 2:30 in the morning, you got a knock at the apartment door. "Kokichi, someone's at the door." Kokichi shot up in bed. "Hold on."
"Kokichi!"
You watched Kokichi walk out of the bedroom with a knife. "Kokichi, what if it's someone we know?!"
"Then I won't attack!"
You sighed and followed him to the door, looking through the peephole. "Oh, it's Kiyo." You opened the door and tilted your head. "Kiyo! What brings you here at such a late hour? Or... early?"
"Nah, it's early."
"Okay, Kokichi. Anyways, Kiyo, did you need something?"
Kiyo nodded, scratching the back of his neck, which was rather odd. "Come inside! Where's Rantaro?"
"Oh, he's simply in slumber. I thought it would be the right time to ask you." Kokichi rubbed his eyes and you patted back. "You can go to sleep, alright?"
With a yawn, Kokichi left the living room and went to bed.
You sat next to Kiyo on the couch. "So? What advice do you need?" You asked, sipping some (f/d).
"...Is it wrong for a man to propose to a man?"
You choked on you drink and set down your mug. "What?!" You wiped the spilled drink with a paper towel, and looked over at Kiyo

Some mortals see dungeons as a plague to destroy. Some mortals see dungeons as a resource to manage and harvest. Some mortals see dungeons as a place to train and advance. However, all of them agree on something. Dungeons are unnatural and deadly. Places where death stalks every corner and monsters thrive.
