W O R D C O U N T:
We gape and peer at each other for what seems like eternity or perpetuity. Both of us refused to back off.
"Humza babe here you are. I have been looking for you." A female voice scatterbrained me and I at once forestalled and averted my gaze from him.
I glanced at Malika as she entered my room. She was wearing his shirt from previous night and she looked like a model with the perfect figure as always. I remember seeing them last night in front of their room kissing desperately. He could give her his everything, I wouldn't care now. Now that I remember it clearly, it was Malika who had come the first day to my place with him when he had abused me for the very first time.
"What happened to her face?" She pointed with revulsion.
"It doesn't concern you." I riposte. No way in hell am I going to listen to her blabbering. A scowl immediately appeared on her face and she was all ready to swallow me down.
"How dare you speak to me like that? You filthy piece of trash." She snarled and clutched on to Humza's arm, who I guess for some reason remained as still as an idol. I on the other hand do not wish to become the object of scorn here.
His gaze still pierced through mine as if scanning my every being. "We all know who's the filthy little piece of trash over here." I combat.
"Babe stop her before I slap her across her face." The guts of this women.
"Get out of my room before I do something. Just leave." I can't believe I was fighting with this woman. I have never had a cat fight but these people have forced me to.

"Watch us then." And with that she turned Humza to herself and
captured his lips with hers. I could really feel the bile rising in my throat. I was that kind of disgusted and abhorred with the sight before me.
My chest was nearly blazing. That man was without a backbone. Now I know why Maliha was all set to kill this women. She was that vexatious, irksome, infuriating and what not.
I simply looked the other way and walked past them and then out of the door. I cascaded down towards the kitchen and drank almost a bottle of water to stop myself from vomiting.
It was early in the morning and nobody was awake. "Do you even sleep at night Anaabiya?" As if on cue bibijaan entered the kitchen while clutching up her hair into a bun. She was all set to prepare the breakfast for everyone.
You know I had this strange power. I was the kind of person who could block away the thoughts that could bother me or cause me distress. Since I had so many hardships to go through I had developed this habit and it went good with me although it was only a temporary solution. Like for instance I could block myself from thinking about what happened a few minutes ago and behave like it never happened.
"What happened to your face?" I could see how much bibijaan cared for me. She panicked and completely freaked out.
"No. No bibijaan I am fine." I answered.
"Why is your chin so red? Did you hurt yourself?" Bibijaan touched my chin to examine it and I swear it burned from the contact.
"Ouch!" I whimpered.
"See I knew. Come with me I'll just apply some ointment." She ushered me to sit in the foyer. Maybe she is the only one who cared.

"You have a beautiful hair." Bibijaan complimented and I realized that I wasn't wearing a hijab since the monster had pulled it off.
"Thanks bibijaan.. Ummm where is uncle and aunty?" I asked in my vague attempt to distract bibijaan as she applied a transparent ointment on my chin.
"They left yesterday after you and Humza left for the party." She responded.
"But I thought that they would stay." I complained.
"They didn't. Anyway, where is Humza?" His name alone makes me want to puke.
"I don't know. With one of his women I guess." I chirped.
"Assalam O alaikum." Greeted Huzaifa as he entered. He looked at me strangely and I shifted uncomfortably on the furniture. The remanence of yesterday's event now fresh again.
"Walaikum assalam." Bibijaan and I responded at the same time.
"I will go to the kitchen now. I need to prepare the breakfast." Bibijaan excused herself and went inside.
"I actually came to see you. How are you?" He asked sitting across from me.
"I am fine. Thank You for saving me. I don't even want to think of what could have happened if you weren't there." I spoke honestly.
"I am glad you are fine. You don't have to worry, I won't let anything happen to you." He said and I felt even more uncomfortable now. He kept on staring at me.
"What happened to your chin?" I was already tired of answering that question. Was I that prominently bruised?
"Oh that's nothing. I am fine." I chuckled and he responded with a smile of his own.
A sudden realization soon hits me and I panic.
OH my ALLAH, I haven't even covered my hair.
As if on cue, Humza strode towards the foyer. His jaws and fists were clenched.
He neared me as if he was going to kill me.
"Cover your hair." He ordered, literally throwing the piece of cloth that he had earlier pulled off my head, in my hands.
He looked at me ferociously and I only mirrored his expression. Nevertheless I did cover myself. Humza stood in front of me almost hiding me from Huzaifa who was sitting across my furniture. All the while, the monsters gaze never left mine.
I covered my hair as much as I could and then looked at him.
"Now go back to your room." He barked.
Ladies and gentlemen, the crazy Humza is back.
Humza's mind?

This must be in the hidden gems collection " -3ndlesslove"This was, by far, the best one I've read. It just resonated with me when it came to Noah's POV. It wasn't something that just magically came together. It took time and effort for them to get to where they are, and I respect that. It taught me more about how to look at things so thanks a lot for making this book. I meant a lot to me. I will definitely read the sequel and your other books" - Generik_Jay
