The banging on the door halted Ali and the door yanked open to reveal no one other than Erika.
"OH! I'm sorry, did I disturb you whoring around?!" Erika screamed at Anaya.
"Stop," Ali said, stepping in front of Anaya.
"Where the fuck were you? Do you know how embarrassed I was waiting alone in the fucking restaurant? AND WHAT'S YOUR EXCUSE! YOU WERE ABOUT FUCK HER?" She screamed.
Anaya felt absolutely disgusted with Erika's words, and she wanted to leave. She couldn't bear the thought of being accused of something so foul, she walked past Ali, but Erika stepped in front of her.
"And what are you still doing here? The deal is over, I'm sure you knew. Just thought maybe you could stick around and grab some cash while you're at it? Maybe get some good fuc-"
"Enough!" Anaya yelled at Erika's face.
"I'm sorry that you got stood up, but I'm not going to stand here and watch you accuse me of such horrendous acts we both know only YOU are capable of," Anaya spoke, moving past Erika.
"THAT BITCH!" Erika threw her purse to the ground.
"Are you smiling? Is this amusing to you Ali?"
Ali couldn't help but let out a small grin at Anaya, almost not believing she could go off like that, but he knew the things she was capable of- underneath her dignified appearance and behavior.
"Why is she still here? Your lawyer already processed everything, you don't need her here anymore.'"
"Why does it matter to you so much?" Ali said, rubbing his temple hating this noise that Erika was creating.
"I'm your girlfriend Ali! It was one thing to look past you have a wife for your case, but its another to see you kissing her. Just tell me why she is still here!"

"I didn't kiss her for fucks sake. She's here because everyone is after her, if she gets kidnapped they'll not only ask me for money, they're going to know she isn't my actual wife and it's going to risk our case."
"Sti-"
"And! I told you this before Erika, I don't do relationships. If this is what you being my girlfriend is- constantly barging in on me, then I don't want it. You can consider this a break up." Ali said, leaving the library without waiting for her reply.
Erika scoffed, as her hands turned into fists.
Anaya ran into her room and locked it, sliding down the door. The image of Ali so close to her coming back continuously. She wondered what would've happened if Erika didn't come in, at the same time she was mad at herself for letting him so close to her.
It was wrong but it felt so right.
And she hated that. She didn't want anything to do with him, she had to remember and keep in mind that this was the man who kidnapped her.
She didn't regret her words to Erika. Her accusations against Anaya were horribly vulgar, but she remembered what her mom always told her.
"Do good regardless of other's treatment towards you,"
She shouldn't have said that to Erika, because her words were just as foul as hers.
Anaya took a deep breath and took off her hijab. She took a white shirt and some black pants from the closet and went into the bathroom to shower. She rinsed her face and cleansed her hair, trying to get the day's doings off of her.
Soon enough she changed and went to lay down in bed. She was exhausted, and her eyes already felt droopy, and before she knew it her body relaxed into the sheets and fell into a deep slumber.

Ali sat on the edge of his bed fresh out of the shower as he tried to put on a new bandage onto his wound. Like every other night of the past few days, his mind drifted to Anaya. The Anaya he encountered today was exceptional. He knew how brave she was, and that always intrigued him more.
He thought of how close he was to her, how she looked so near to him. Her scent was so inviting, her eyes were such a beautiful shade of brown, her cheeks a pale pink and her lips.
Her lips. He thought.
He wished he had closed the distance.
He wished he could've felt the softness of her luscious rosy lips.
Ali put the bandage on, and fell back onto the bed.
He shouldn't be thinking of her, especially not like this. This isn't who he was, and it was definitely not someone he wanted to be. But he was unable to deny the attraction he felt towards Anaya, he was incapable of pushing her away- and that scared him, because everyone that got close to him- left.
He couldn't allow his guard to fall down.
