𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐳𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧

The meal at the Malfoy's was divine. They had all the finest foods including golden roasted potatoes, fresh succulent lamb, and vegetables from the Manor garden. During the meal the families were getting along very well. They finished eating, and went to sit in the lounge, infront of a grand fire. Draco asked Y/n if she wanted to go upstairs and miss out on all the boring adult talk. Of course, she said yes and they went to his bedroom.

"Your room is so nice" Y/n said. It was all black, with velvet bedding, a fire opposite, and a bedside table. The floors were dark polished wood.

"It's cold in here almost all the time because it's so big" Draco replied.

"I know I'm freezing" She said, rubbing her arms as she walked over to the bed.

"Should of brought my hoodie. Do you like it?"

"I love it. I didn't want to take it off" She joked.

"So Lucius seems nice. I didn't think he would be so warming to me"

"Yeah he's really not. He seems a completely different person. I don't know if it's an act or because of your father. They were really close back in the day" Draco told her, as they both sit on his bed, watching the fire.

"He says he's proud of you Draco." She looked up at him. He had an angry look on his face but his eyes looked darkened.

"I've never heard them words come out his mouth. Nobody is proud of me. Why would he be" He mumbled, collapsing his head on Y/n's shoulder.

"What? I am so unbelievebly proud of you! I'm so lucky to have you in my life. You are wonderful to me. I know most people aren't keen on you but they don't know you like I do" Y/N reassured him.

"I just feel as if I don't have a choice. The dark side is in my blood and I can't get out of this."

"I know. You don't choose to do this I know. I will never ever leave your side through all this" Y/N said, trying to hold back tears. He looked into her eyes.

"Promise me?" He asked fearfully.

"I promise" She whispered, holding both his hands. Hesitantly, he got closer, pushing some fallen hair out of face, looked down to her lips then back up to her eyes. She did the same. Very slowly, he leaned in a little more, and she did the same. Their lips almost met and that's when-

"Y/n are you in here?" Her mother shouted, bursting through the door. She pulled away as soon as she heard her and flung her head around towards the door.

"Sorry love, Ophelia is getting tired so we need to be leaving soon" She said.

"Oh okay. We'll come downstairs" Y/n replied, feeling hurt. She was seconds away from finally kissing Draco. Her mother nodded and closes the door.

"I'm so sorry" Y/n tells Draco, who looks equally as hurt. There was no point kissing now, it completely ruined the moment.

"Don't be. Come on" Draco said, getting hold of Y/n's hand as they left his room.

They walked down the stairs where her family were putting their coats on. Lucius and her father shook hands saying goodbye, whilst Narcissa kissed her mother on the cheek, and knelt down to her sister saying goodbye.

"Thankyou for having me I've loved tonight Mr and Mrs Malfoy" Y/n smiled.

"Our pleasure love. We will see you soon when you go back to Hogwarts" Narcissa replied, pulling her in for a hug. The families go out to their car, whilst Y/n looked back at Draco.

"I will see you in a few weeks. Write to me?" She asked.

"Promise" He said, and pulled her in for one last hug. She pulled off, and walked out the door.

Tonight was almost perfect, she just wished that moment didn't ruin it.
