《Walking With Jesus A Daily Devotional》Day Fourteen

Day Fourteen.
Verses: "'Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.'" John 12:25-26
Yesterday I watched church and my church is doing a series called: "God never said that." Yesterday's saying that God never said was: "follow your heart."
I am sure at some point in your life, you have heard someone say: "follow your heart." It sounds sweet and encouraging, but it's not from the Bible, Jesus never said that, and it's not Christianity.
In the verse above Jesus clearly says: "follow me." We as Christian don't need to follow our heart. We need something greater than our heart. We need to follow Jesus. Let Jesus lead us and guide us, not our heart or our feelings. Because my dad always says: "feelings aren't fact." What our heart is telling us to do, is also not fact.
The person who does follow their heart, it can lead them to debt, will lead them away from God, and your heart lies. Your heart tells you things like: "if you eat Taco Bell everyday you won't gain weight." A lie! Because as my pastor says: "if you pull into Taco Bell after nine pm, I can promise you, God did not lead you there."
When I started this ministry, I knew it was from God because: one, it was going to be a lot of work to build a ministry and I didn't want to do that. Two, the Devil kept me trying to make excuses why I shouldn't start a ministry. Three, I knew it was God's voice when He told me.

If I would have followed my heart, there would be no Jesus Saves Ministry because I would have kept making excuses not to start it. But because I followed God's voice and not my heart, I am now building Jesus Saves Ministry.
I also didn't think I should be the one leading people to Christ because I felt so messed up and who would want to learn from me? But God told me, I am a good enough IN HIM. Not by myself or with the things that I have done but IN HIM, I can share my story, and hopefully lead others to Christ.
Ask yourself: who is leading and guiding you? It is God? It is your heart? Or is it your feelings?
Let God lead and guide you. God will show you the way. You just have to relax, grab His hand, and trust in Him.
Prayer:
Dear God,
I don't want to be lead by my heart or my feelings. So I pray, you lead and guide me. Show me which way to Lord and I will follow you. I know that you are God. I believe that you are King and my Savior. I just pray you come into my heart and help me Lord. I want to follow you and only you Lord.
I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.
In Jesus's name, I pray, Amen!

These humatrans have inherited what remains of the decimated planet Earth. The abilities they’ve been born with have the potential of saving the future or condemning it. A seemingly unplanned fellowship is pieced together from the remnants of society, sworn to safely escort Jason to Durham, Oklahoma, where his father was born three centuries earlier. Sarafyn’s memories of his youth reveal how his innocence was warped by an alien bent on becoming a god. Yet perhaps, such protection is needed. As humatrans are crawling from the womb, humanity slowly recognizes the threat they represent and vows to wipe them off the face of the planet . . . by any means necessary.
